I have waited months to write this review. Not because of the service, or the product, but just because I had so many other things going on, that I just didn't seem to get around to it. Shame on me. The service was absolutely stellar. I had another company, which will go unnamed, who had come out to fix the very same problem and they "fixed" the problem. It worked for a week. I looked up the error code online and fixed it myself. It worked for over a year. Balance Garage doors came out and they fixed the problem, showed me what it was and why it kept happening. They showed me how to fix it myself, but, frankly, I was tired of dealing with it. I bought a new opener. They installed it, it works perfectly, and for a geek, having a wifi app to open and close and track who opens when, well, no brainer. Before buying, I checked local Home Depot and Lowes and found the price I was being charged by Balanced Garage Doors was comparable for the unit, but when adding installation, the price I was charged was lower than the local stores. Being a single, "more mature" female, I sometimes get offended by the way that workmen treat me. Not the case here. Explained everything to me, without treating me like I was brainless, but, when I had questions, went into greater detailed explanations. I just can't say enough good about this company. And, in addition, it's a small business which I'd much rather support than some large corporation. read more

I called Balanced Garage Doors in a fit of desperation. From the first contact on the phone to my interaction with Spencer the repair guy... I LOVED THIS COMPANY. They were friendly, professional but also warm people. Spencer was AWESOME he knew exactly what the problem was with my g door and the man fixed it in less than 30 minutes with a courteous smile and reassurance!! The following week I call BGD back because my garage remote was not working I asked for Spencer. I was late getting home he waited on me fixed the problem refused to take money even when I offered to pay for his dinner for his time. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this small company.. bigger is not always best when I called the bigger companies they put me on HOLD .. After using multiple other companies we were not happy with over the years, this is the 3rd or 4th time we have used Balanced Garage Doors and have been extremely pleased with the low pressure, relaxed approach and the high quality of service. Glenn had been our service tech a couple of times at our previous home, so we did not hesitate to call and ask for him when we moved to our new home recently and had some garage door issues. He explained everything carefully, explained both current and future service options for later on (if needed), and completed the work in a very neat and timely manner. On the day of my appointment, Josh called 30 minutes prior to arrival to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time, and was professional, polite, and respectful. He is very knowledgeable, and explained each issue so that I could understand why I had the problems with my garage doors, and what needed to be done to repair them. My garage door was broken and they were able to get me in on the same day! I had contacted my warranty and they couldn't come out for 4 days. I couldn't have my door open for 4 days. I decided to reach out to a local company. They responded right away and came out immediately. They were cheaper than any other company and they fixed my issue immediately. Highly recommended! We noticed several issues with our garage door when we had to manually open it during the latest power outage. We selected Balanced Garage Doors because of excellent reviews. It was easy to make an online appointment. Our technician was Dylan. He performed an entire garage door service, replaced the torsion cables, and adjusted the springs. We wanted to replace our 3 older LiftMaster garage door openers. We called 6 service companies for recommendations and estimates. Some knew the price but could not tell me the model information. Wow! I am a thoroughly satisfied customer. Bill did a great job of repairing my two garage door openers and reprogramming my remotes and car remote. He came out to assess the problem. Gave me 3 different options to address the issue. Sent a quote promptly from his truck that was still visible on my street. He arrived promptly on both visits and let me know that he was on the way. In fact, the price per unit was close to $100 less (after they applied factory discounts and a 15% discount). They also gave me a competitive quote to replace the springs and rollers. I was sure the it would cost over a thousand dollars, because the garage doors needed desperate attention. Glenn, the business owner came to repair rhe garage springs. He was very courteous and considerate. He wore a mask at ll times. He changed the tension cales as well and provided me with good maintenance tips for the garage door. I got a good warranty for the labor and a good discount. I almost wish I had more garage doors for these guys to replace! They were fantastic! I wanted to get a quote from the popular other guys. But they wanted to charge me $60 just to come out and quote.
