We walked in at 7:45, ordered a simple breakfast of eggs hash browns and meat and at 9 we were begging for a check so we could get going as we were already late for our convention.... the one waitress had to handle all of the tables in the restaurant as well as delivering food for room service. Very poor staffing on their behalf. The manager was cleaning off tables and doing other things rather than helping her with taking orders and delivering food. There was no one waiting for a table and there were plenty of clean tables that could be seated if anyone happened to come in. The waitress was very nice but you could see she was overwhelmed. The food was okay, nothing special but if there had been another option close by we probably would go there in the future for breakfast...

They remodeled it and quite frankly it's just boring, awkward and loud now. The carpet and the checked plaid tablecloths and candles and everything that made an amazing old-school Italian restaurant are gone. It is very boring. Could be anywhere decor. Without the carpet, it's also extremely loud. The reconfiguration of the dining room was also very weird. So the atmosphere is just not what it used to be. I don't know why they gave that up. I know carpet is not easy to maintain but still. It's just a really not great vibe inside. That being said, they still make the best damn pizza. It was everything I remembered. I don't know how they do their crust better than anywhere else in the Midwest or beyond. It was so very, very good. Loved it wish I could eat that pizza more often. So thumbs down for the atmosphere big thumbs up for the pizza and the very gracious and helpful staff. It's an Italian restaurant. I wish they had Negronis on the cocktail menu, but I guess those just aren't popular in Wisconsin.
