They got me on a lane at 1:10. Then at 1:45 came to my lane and told me to wrap it up because someone else had the lane reserved at 2:00pm. Why even let me in the lane then ? They didn't tell me I only had 45 minutes. I would have just left and done something else. Heck they didn't even offer to comp me my drinks(soda) or maybe a few games of bowling in the future. This restaurant is quintessentially small town. It opens for lunch and gets the local traffic throughout the day. It's not fancy but it is a good watering hole and offers a pretty broad menu. The staff does a great job on social media; so you always know what is on special. The last time I was in, I went with a standard burger and tots. Everything was right on the money; tasty and hot. You'll never leave this place complaining about skimpy portions. While I'd like the staff to be a bit friendlier, they always seem to be busy and I'm not a local. I definitely won't let that keep me away from good made-as-you-wait food at reasonable prices.

We had a pleasant dining experience with good food and good drinks in a classic Wisconsin supper club environment. There was only one gentleman working it seemed (other than whoever was in the kitchen), and he served both a few patrons at the bar as well as waited on our table. We were the only party in the restaurant at the time, but I still found this impressive. The menu was standard supper club fare. Everyone in our group ordered the prime rib (except me), which came with a solid soup and salad bar. We shared an appetizer sampler that included some good mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers. I opted for the walleye sandwich. Although plain in presentation, it was delicious and a large portion. I went with the house-made fries which were thin and crispy instead of the frozen crinkle cut (someone in our group who tried both said they preferred the house-made). My significant other chose the hash browns with his prime rib - we both agreed these were delicious. I tried a few bites of the prime rib as well, and I thought it was good. All-in-all, we had a good experience at The Rivers. The service was great, the atmosphere was traditional, and the food was good. The food was a little on the pricey side ($20/plate), but the portions were definitely large. The drinks were inexpensive; they had an old fashioned special going that night of $3.50/drink. I don't normally order cocktails but being in a supper club it seemed like the thing to do, so I went with a brandy old fashioned sweet with olives. I was pretty satisfied with it! They have both an indoor and outdoor band with a sliding garage door they will open up indoors. Dogs are allowed outside and they even sell a dog "beer" (it's bone broth). I haven't tried the food but it is a relatively small menu and one more geared toward app sizes. I also believe (not completely sure!) That if it keeps super busy they will stop making food. The bar is accessible via water from a dock across the street as well. Family friendly as well with games outside and kid friendly drinks.

We promptly asked for the check so we can leave and go to Culver's. I would have appreciated a heads up about the wait as soon as they figured it would be a while. Not a minute before we received our food. I get that things run behind but they didn't look short on servers based on the space. Someone should have told us a lot sooner. And the noise, man... there's a point where you gotta tell people to quiet down.
