The gentleman working was very polite and helpful without being overbearing. In other words, he allowed me to look around without hovering on my every single move. I told him what was going on with my washer, and we discussed some of the machines in stock. Honestly though? The best part was he valued my concerns and money. He didn't try to push me into buying a new machine, rather he offered some helpful advice on my current one. He even gave me the contact information for a local repair company (one that I'm now in contact with). I understand sales very well. However, I love salespeople who understand and appreciate my time and money. I would love to do business with this location just because of that! If my washing machine cannot be fixed within a reasonable amount, I'm definitely buying a new one here. Huge kudos to this location!!

So I went back to the store to get my refund for the water filter and they said they could only do a store credit for me due to the fact that they're machine was down yesterday. I remember fondly buying my first set of tools at Sears after I got that great (and terrible) Sears Credit card in my early Twenty's. I had those tools for 27 years until I sold them at a garage sale so I could buy...That's right NEW Sears tools! In any case I think all Sears are pretty much universal. Been to them all over the country. I'm not saying the one in Altus is better or worse than say the one in Tucson. I'm just using this store because this is where I live and its the store I frequent. I like the one in Lawton too. The 5 star is coming from a place in my heart as well as some practical experience. I personally have never dealt with a Sears employee that did not or was not willing to do whatever it took to make me happy. I have recently been given free parts for a weed eater that I broke just because they had them there and It was the easy thing to do. I've had broken tools replaced on the spot when they had them and ordered immediately when they didn't. I've had things fixed for free at several different stores. They are also one of the last or maybe the last place you can put something on layaway any time of year. In my opinion, across the country, this is the best chain store there is.

I got the washer delivered, which could VERY WELL have been the reason the washer broke, since they didn't put shipping bolts into the back of the washer to ensure no damage to the barrel and washer itself during transport.. I have been out a washer over a week waiting for a stupid shock absorber so I can replace it, and HOPE it fixes the issues I am having. The dumb POS won't fill with water, and made an ugly banging and clicking noise when the drum turned... ended up doing a bunch of looking into it online. Decided opening the back of the washer a few days after I got it was the best idea.. just to see the rear shock absorber is completed broken and not even attached.. completely broken in half. There's a reason there is no return policy. They DO NOT ACTUALLY FULLY MAKE SURE AND CHECK THE APPLIANCE!!! THEY ARE LIARS! They also DO NOT CARE AT ALL, and are RUDE AS HELL! Wonderful store!! Anything we've needed for the house they either carry it, can order it or tell us…read morewhere to get it! Tammy has come to our house many times to work on our washers, stoves etc. She is so nice and so helpful. Clewell's also makes duplicate keys for free for personal use. They carry plumbing and faucet supplies, paint, generators, lawn mowers, appliances, cleaning supplies, tools, filters and on and on. Today we came in for a new stove, a broom for the semi and some batteries. Aaron fixed us right up. He said we can get the stove in black and it will be delivered Monday afternoon, they even take the old stove with them and dispose of it. I highly recommend this place!!
