Tonight, spur of the moment we decided to go there for dinner. It's been a while because I have not been well. We walked in. We seated right away. It was pretty empty. I noticed they made a few changes. I'm not sure why because it was lacking the fun personality. It used to have even if it was tacky like I said it was cute. Just something about it. It appears that they have removed a lot of seating. Maybe they're just not doing the business. The staff was personable although I had an issue with something with them. I was really disappointed and insulted although it sounds petty I just don't understand why it was going on. They kept coming over waiting on my dinner partner, constantly filling his glass of water asking if you wanted anything each time they did this, they had their back to me and never turned around to me to offer a refill in my glass I mean I was completely ignored like I wasn't there not once did they ask me if I needed anything? When we first sat down of course they ask if you want something to drink, and we weren't ready except for a glass of water. They brought the usual basket of chips, but this time we had a partial basket of what looked like the bottom of a bag of chips all crumbled nothing to really dip into the dip. They were so puny. The last time and all the other time I had ever been there you had a basket overflowing with large warm chips you swore just came out of the oven. Two partially fill bowls, one of salsa, one of cheese that look like they came out of a grocery store. It was pathetic. No side plates to put silverware, and you only got a fork wrapped in a single paper napkin. Now this wasn't lunch this was for dinner service Dinner came again such puny portions come on refried beans are not that expensive. I got a small puddle of those. My burrito was OK actually, it tasted great. I have no problem with the way. The food tasted. It was just the cheap way. They did everything. The avocado was probably a teaspoon worth with lettuce mixed in with it. I guess to make it look like more than it was and a spoonful of sour cream. It looked so cheap. There were big spaces between each type of food no rice and even when they served the tortillas I don't know if there was one or two rolled up in a small napkin no basket the way they used to steam them. Does steaming them cost a lot of money. I understand. Businesses are having a hard time but if you have to do this, maybe you shouldn't be doing it at all because it's not like your prices are cheap. I don't know what's going on in there but it's not good. I don't think I'm gonna be going back anymore. I would just as soon pick up some frozen Mexican or make it. I almost felt like we got leftovers turned into things like my burrito. It used to be shredded and have salsa and everything in it inside the burrito tonight. It was like they just stuffed partially cut up chicken breast not much flavor. I am so disappointed. It's funny how you can like and not like the same place I just don't like the way they served what they did. I didn't like being treated rudely although we had some kind smiling stuff also but the way I was treated three different times just trying to get water was horrible. Finally, my dinner partner tapped her on the arm and pointed at my glass. They were lucky I wasn't paying or tipping. There's plenty of Mexican restaurants. I would suggest you go elsewhere unless this place either gets new management or does something I was in the hospitality business. I know how it goes. I know it can be hard, but I also know the things you don't do and they were all done tonight all the wrong things. I would be embarrassed to serve plates that looked like these tonight and even setting the table wasn't really set. I have had a fancier picnic table. It was like serving us with an afterthought. Sorry if we were bothering you there we had one server she was a doll. Sadly, someone like her is gonna suffer because of what I saw tonight. Even the plate and bowls look like the cheap 50 Cent ones you buy at Walmart now what did they do with all their good stuff they used to have setting a table is not hard even a simple paper place mat and they had nothing.

I now believe that the miserable 'nachos' I got in April must have been on a bad day for the cook staff. The meals we have ordered since then have been uniformly excellent , on time and perfectly done. We've ordered a variety of entrees and all were wonderful. standouts are the taco plates and chile rellenos, also chimichanga. Tex-Mex done right! They have earned our repeat business.
