Well I've had almost my entire homes furniture upholstered from these folks. But my last job was 4 captains chairs and they did the seats beautifully but didn't do the arm rest. I picked these up and didn't notice they weren't done as they were put in storage until I got my floor done. I looked and realized this and sent an email. He asked me to send pics of chairs and never heard back. I paid about $1,000 and provided fabric. Just feel I was given a run around when they were asked if they could correct the mistake. It's upsetting but will find another upholsterer. read more

I rarely write negative reviews or disparaging comments but I am very upset with this company. In March 2021, I contracted with Aaron's Restoration to refinish my front door (exterior and interior) for $2,500. I thought this was a reasonable price; $1,250 per side. When it came down to scheduling, I informed them I only wanted the exterior refinished. I kept waiting for a revised quote not knowing they revised the quote to $2,250. Therefore, they came out and refinished my front door and sent me a bill for $2,250. Not only do I feel I was grossly overcharged but $2,250 is unjustified FOR ONE DAYS WORK ON THE EXTERIOR ONLY. read more

I had a great experience here. I have a piece of antique solid wood furniture that I mistakenly tried to spray paint white to cover up the years of water stains and dulled varnish. Aaron's came within $20 of their estimate and the piece came out beautifully. You'd never guess the thing is half a century old. I sent Aaron's a photo of my dresser to match the stain to and they totally nailed it. It took longer to get the nightstand back than they initially guessed, but they were responsive through Yelp messaging and I wasn't in a rush. We have a beautiful dining room table with 3 extension boards that seats 16-18 and is about 70yrs old and made from fine maple. Finally needed to be refinished and chairs replaced. Met with Ricky at Aaron's and the table and extenders were stripped and refinished to a more modern color and finish after meeting with Ricky. Superb job done. Also just refinished our teakwood breakfast table and two extenders. Also beautifully done. In addition we replaced the plastic connecting/locking pins with metal and they fit perfectly. Wow! The people at Aaron's Touch Up & Restoration are amazing. We had them strip our cabinet doors & drawers of paint and sanded. They did an amazing job at a very fair price. We moved into a new "semi-custom" home a couple of years ago. The builder allowed the painters to use crappy paint and do crappy work. As soon as we moved into our home, we new we would have to get the cabinets repainted. The builder had the painters come out and repaint the cabinets with the same crappy paint. Our builder is a d**k, so I gave up on pressing the issue. Anyway, my wife and I are in our 60s and decided that being retired, we couldn't afford to hire painters, so we started the project ourselves. Stripping the paint of the first few cabinets was a lot of work. So Happy that I thought to look for a company to strip the doors & drawers on our second phase of this project. Anyway, thanks to Aaron's Touch Up & Restoration, our job ahead of us is going to be so much easier. I emailed Rachel at Aaron's, sending her pictures , sizes and number of items I needed stripped. Rachel replied back to me the next day. She was so on top of things and knows her business well! If you have any restoration, paint or repairs- do not hesitate to call this company. Had these guys pick up my lazyboy sofa and love seat. Given that this type of work is labor intensive and that these are recliners they did an OK job. I'm sure they are better at smaller pieces. When they delivered them back to my house and I looked at the invoice versus the estimate it was almost four times the price. I was in sticker shock because with the price I paid to have them reupholstered I could have bought a new set. In summary after some back and fourth they decided to bring down the price. I appreciate them working with me but I'm not so sure I would have gone this route knowing how much it was going to come out. A more accurate estimate would have been helpful. After my father in law body slammed my antique wooden childhood highchair, I wasn't sure what to do. I couldn't fix this with duct tape, not even the wood-colored kind. It just wouldn't do. I found Aaron's though my trusty Yelp app and decided this was the spot based on a photo of a wooden chair in pieces then restored by them. If they could fix that, surely they could fix mine! Aaron's did a great job on my item. You cannot tell there was any damage! The price quoted was fair, in my opinion. Took in a custom made piece that just needed sealer and top coat. Mentioned to employee that they'd have to lift it up a ramp because clearance would cause it to drag. Well when it was returned the concrete drag marks on footers was obvious. Also found they didn't completely finish a door. Why cause they dropped it on rough concrete and damaged it as well as popped a glue joint. Did they come clean? No! In fact, the way they presented the door back to me was deceptive, carried it damaged/unfinished side against their body. It's a shame they weren't upfront, now they'll lose all my future business. I do build furniture locally and from time to time need a reliable, honest and good finisher. Given an opportunity to come clean they failed there too. I want to sing the praises of Aaron's Touch Up & Restoration. I had a real problem with my upholstered bed in that the infrastructure of the bed was very poorly designed and after 4 years, the framing was starting to buckle. I didn't want to replace my bed, but I was at a loss on how to fix it. Finally I decided to call Aaron's after finding them on Google. The ratings were great, so I took a chance with my beloved bed. I called and immediately started discussing the problem with Braxton, sent him some pictures and he was able to diagnose the problem. We set up a time for his team to come out to my home and collect the bed - the team was prompt, professional, and polite - all the attributes you would want when trusting anyone with your prized possessions! Anyway, Braxton invited me to the office to discuss the restoration job and I left feeling very comfortable that the work would be performed at the highest level of professionalism. I was not disappointed. Braxton recognized the flaw in the bed's infrastructure, discussed with their in-house carpenter and built a brand new support base for the bed! Imagine that - my broken bed has been completely rejuvenated. Upon completion, the delivery team came by, set up my bed and made sure I was satisfied with the work and the bed's placement in my room. As added kudos to Braxton and his team... my bed is a light dove gray color - it was picked up, worked on and returned with not a single fingerprint or smudge. I have had only a very brief interaction over an item for sale on social media however I think it goes to the basic honesty and integrity of this establishment. I asked about the item at 11:30 am. I was told a person was to pick up at noon. At noon I was told "he's not coming" and given the address. I said I was leaving now from Irving and it would take 20 minutes to drive there. I got there at 12:23. I saw that I had a text at 12:19 that it was gone. If you have ever dropped everything to get an item and then were treated like this .....well it is just very discouraging. One other company that got good reviews on here and other sites has still not returned my messages. Aaron's told me 2 weeks to complete my job, and they were spot on with the finished product, and better than I had ever hoped!!!! One of tge chairs got a little scuff while loading into my truck. 1 month ago, Aaron's took a 200 year old family dresser that needed repairs they returned it to me today. They did an okay job with the repairs (the bottom of one drawer did not look very professional, but I gave them a pass on that, it needed work. The price was as quoted. Here is my problem with them: they broke (admittedly in first transit) a 200 year old hand-silvered mirror that was with the dresser. Again, I could forgive that. Do you know how I found out the original mirror was broken. I saw the difference in quality and called back to ask. The company said nothing until I confronted them with it. According to Rachel, the office manager, she thought her guys would have told me. They said nothing. I called and spoke with Rachel a week ago, asking how the project was going. She said nothing. When the event happened, they could have called me. They did not contact me. I will never use this company again, nor would I recommend them to anyone. The work was okay, the integrity was extremely low. Don't risk your own heirlooms. read more

When my custom-made coffee table arrived (one I splurged on) I was disappointed to see that a corner had been damaged. Never would I have thought the damage could be repaired. Considering the table was hand made in India, I thought it best to allow Aaron's to take a shot at the repair before having a new one made and having to wait 8 weeks. Oh my, my table just arrived and the repair was so perfect I could not even find the corner they worked on. Aaron's did a magnificent job.....and it only took 3 days. From Rachel in the office, to the two delivery guys, that took extra care with my table and were so very nice, I highly recommend this company. I bought a dining room table and chairs while living in South America. After returning to the US, the tabletop did not fit securely on the bases and it began to show hairlike cracks in the paint. Aaron's refinished the top and secured the top to the bases. They even matched the color perfectly, which was a concern for me since it had to match the chairs. Aaron's did an awesome refinishing job on my grandmother's rocking chair and a child's rocking horse. The rocking chair was over 100 years old. I must say I was a bit worried about getting it refinished since it is such a sentimental piece of furniture. Thirty years ago it was painted white for my daughters' nursery and now we wanted to restore it for my future grandson's nursery. Aaron's worked hard on trying to remove the primer and paint, but it was to no avail. So we opted for a faux walnut finish (the wood is mahogany) and it turned out just beautiful. My daughter LOVED it! The rocking horse matches perfectly and just shines in the nursery. I would recommend Jordan, who worked diligently on these two pieces for about a month, in a heartbeat. If I could give them less than one star then I would. It would take an entire week for Aaron's Touch Up to return a call (that should have been my first clue!). Someone else had damaged something in my home that needed repair and they wanted to use Aaron's Touch Up; otherwise, I would have not called them back. However, I finally scheduled my repair which had to be done onsite at my home. Guess what? Aaron's Touch Up was a no show.... no phone call, nothing. I took off an entire day of work to wait for them and they did not have the courtesy to call or show up. So, I called them. No answer, so I left a message. Guess what?? It has now be a week and have received to no return call from them. Who knows if they do quality work or not?! They are completely unreliable or have too much business that they didn't need mine. Regardless, I would skip Aaron's Touch Up for any restoration job and move on to the next name on your list and call them. read more
