A beautiful piece of furniture in my house was torn up by my adorable young kitten (she apparently thought it was a scratch pad) so I did my research as always and I was so happy to find Ignacio at I & A Quality Upholstery. I ordered the new "scratch resistant" fabric that was needed to cover both arms on my piece of furniture. Ignacio was very nice and highly professional. He came out to my home and carefully placed my furniture piece in his van. Ignacio asked me what fabric color I would like to use for the trim which was very thoughtful of him. He did an amazing job of removing the damaged fabric and replacing it with my new fabric. He brought my re-upholstered furniture back to my home about 2 weeks later. Now my cat can enjoy her "furniture scratch pad routine" without doing any visible damage to it! Ignacio's professional fees to perform these specialized services were very reasonable. Had a sofa redone with them. Timely pickup and delivery, very responsive (huge plus, as some of their competition never returned a text) and the cushions are now fat, which is how you want them to be. The only downside would be that the cushions now have a faint smell to them, but that may be because of the feathers used. I'll get them cleaned and hopefully it won't be an issue anymore. read more

Ignacio is AMAZING!!!!! I am on my 2nd Restoration Hardware Lancaster sofa. The first was replaced from their frame warranty (which they no longer offer). I did a lot of research on the overall construction of their furniture pieces, so the amount of money that was spent on this sofa, well, the damn thing should last a couple of decades. I don't have kids, just a couple of dogs and we are not doing any type of crazy acrobats on the furniture...well you know what I mean... haha! Anyway, the sofa is not used daily but I would say several times a week. The coil springs were worn and not meant for this sofa. You feel like you are sinking pretty low to the floor when weirdly enough it gave you this - oh how cozy and comfy feeling until you tried to actually get off of the sofa which was an effort. Keep in mind this is the same thing that happened with the first sofa. So buyer beware, if you have a RH Lancaster sofa or thinking about investing in one, take it to Ignacio first. He will put in the proper coils so the sofa will last you at least 20 years. He also replaced the cover, coils and padding to a dining room bench that I got from World Market many years ago. Now that piece is heavily used daily. Just to give you some reference, I don't buy throw away pieces of furniture like most consumers do. I'm ok with spending a little more money in staple pieces knowing that it will be used for decades. Anyway - back to I&A; Ignacio and Miquel are very responsive and respectful. They offer very, very fair pricing to their work and the level of pride and workmanship is very high. I can't recommend them enough. If you need any type of work done to any of your upholstery pieces, don't fret. These guys will take care of you! Just be mindful that it may take them a while to get to your pieces. They have a large customer base and give every customer the attention to detail and time to make sure every piece comes out near to perfect or new. read more

I don't often write many reviews, but I was so impressed by Ignacio that I wanted to share my wonderful experience with I&A. To start with he had a free pick-up and drop off service. They were extremely punctual and had great follow through. If Ignacio says he will be there at 11 am, he is there at exactly 11 am. We purchased some dining room chairs on craigs list that were in great shape except for the upholstery. We were referred to I&A but friends who had used them and were incredibly happy. We purchased the material and asked him to recover the chairs. When he brought back the chairs, I was surprised to see that he had gone beyond what I was expecting. He had installed a matching high-quality piping around each of the chairs, which not only looked great, but will also help make the covering last longer. Next, he installed a nice finish material on the underside of each chair. Finally, the coverings were perfect and felt great. The most important thing for me about working with Ignacio is how much he is a genuinely sweet and thoughtful person who obviously takes pride in his work.
