So we drove down & were amazed by the terrific selection of not only house plants, but also pots, gifts & beautiful Christmas decor! The place is huge and it's FULL! And the products they're making for Christmas are stunning. Even my somewhat curmudgeonly husband was impressed. And their prices, especially for house plants & pots, are way lower than other competitors, even the big box places. The plants are healthier, too. And the best thing was the help we received. I was seeking advice for plants I might not accidentally kill, and the lovely young woman who helped me (I think her name was Kirsten or Kristen??) was so knowledgeable. She asked some good questions, then gave me advice on what to choose, and then while I was shopping she thoughtfully placed two gifts I had already chosen into pretty organza gift bags! This is the "value" provided to those that pay the fee (see original review below for context). I still do not like such fees, especially when they are added after so many years. However, now I understand the value it is providing. I will note that the value provided by the Tank Lease Fee is provided to all customers through a lower per gallon price, while not all customers pay this fee. This creates the situation where those paying the lease fee are subsidizing the customers that don't pay the fee. If the intent is to offer a lower per gallon price by using fees, perhaps a fee that applies equally to all customers would be more appropriate? Original Review for context (1 star rating): Having been a Collett Propane customer for over two decades, I was shocked to receive a $60 bill for an annual "Tank Lease Fee". The tank has been in the ground for over 20 years and now I'm being charged a fee? What value is Collett propane providing to me for this money? The answer is simple: NOTHING! This is pure GREED!
