Just when I thought I've tried it all, another boba shop 100 miles from home unlocks a flavor combination I've never had before. AB Teahouse has officially earned a spot as one of the best boba places I've tried. Now, I can't speak on consistency because this was my first visit. I know that's where some of the reviews seem to fall short. What I DO know is that the lady working around 8:30 PM on Wednesday did her thing! She was so kind and friendly. We ordered through the kiosk while she helped another party. Our drinks took a little longer than expected, but honestly I think she was back there crafting them to perfection. I got the Snowy Longan Jasmine ($7.45) with boba. It's a jasmine tea latte infused with sweet longan fruit then finished with a smooth creamy foam. I've had jasmine tea. I've had longan in my drinks. Putting the two together with that cream top was completely new to me. The jasmine gave it that floral tea flavor while the longan brought in the sweetness. The boba had the PERFECT chew too. This drink sold me. We also got the Oreo Shake. This tasted exactly how an Oreo shake should taste. No cheap shortcuts or off-brand cookie flavor. It tasted like America's favorite cookie to dunk in milk, just blended into a yummy frozen drink. read more

The drinks here are consistently really good, which is why I keep coming back. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the customer service. When I walked in, I tried to say hello and ask an employee a quick question about one of the drinks. Instead of responding, he simply pointed at the self-order kiosk without saying a word. It came across as dismissive and honestly pretty rude. I don't mind ordering from a screen, but basic customer interaction still matters. A simple greeting or taking a few seconds to answer a question would have made a huge difference. Great drinks can only carry a place so far--hopefully the customer service improves because the products themselves are worth coming back for. read more

Drove in from Arizona thinking it was the same menu from a year ago. Looks like new ownership with a new menu. The menu DEFINITELY DOWNSIZED and the cashier was unaware of the new menu himself. Miss the old ownership and drink menu variety. Its a No-Go for me. Out of all the nearby Boba spots, this place had, by far, the BEST coconut milk tea. Now, its an obsolete item on their new menu. This spot is located with a good amount of parking. There's a handful of tables inside. They have coffee, matcha, fruit tea, milk teas, slushies. They have options for almond milk and oat milk for 85¢. You can order from the register or on the kiosk. They offer full sweet, half sweet, or no sweet. They have a good amount of add ons. I tried their passion fruit green tea with boba half sweet and their peach green tea with boba half sweet. All the drinks were super refreshing. Half sweet was perfect but I with they had 25% sweet. The parking can get a little tricky when coming at peak hours. There's parking up front but it's located in a busy plaza. There's a few tables that you can sit at to enjoy your drink and they also have restroom in the back. Variety of coffee and matcha drink options. As well as milk tea and fruit tea drinks. They have a variety of toppings for 85 cents. The boba is perfectly chewy! I got the passionfruit tea half sweet which was refreshing on a hot day. read more

So tasty and refreshing! Really nice service here, I had a hard time choosing what I wanted and the person behind the counter really catered to the flavors that I was looking for. I ordered lychee black tea with grapefruit + lychee jelly. I ordered peach black tea + rainbow jelly for my partner. I appreciated that they took their time making the drinks, I could taste every layer of flavor and they were not stingy with the jelly. Absolutely loved my drink and so did my partner! The space is very tidy and cute, plenty of parking. Came for their BOGO Pistachio Cloud Jasmine tea which had a strong jasmine taste and creamy pistachio top with diced pistachios. I don't usually get cream tops, but the sweetness balanced out the bitterness of the jasmine tea since I get it less sweet. Their boba was great! Soft and chewy! read more

My daughter loves boba, but this place may have ruined it for her. She got a Thai tea boba yesterday. After about half of it, she started feeling queasy, then about 10 minutes later she projectile vomited all over the car. Zero symptoms before and she felt better shortly after. Really good find. I like the multiple options abs ability to get non dairy milks with no extra charge. You can also adjust the level of sweetness which is great. This is the best boba we have ever had! The boba is super fresh--just the right amount of chewy softness, almost buttery. The tea is not bitter or over-steeped. Just the right amount of sweetness. We got the brown sugar boba milk teas and the strawberry cheesecake drink with boba. The milk teas came with a sea salt cream foam that was also soooo yummy. This place is fairly small, and the parking can get rough in busy hours but they have a great selection of drinks. I like that their menu has a list of icons for caffeine vs noncaffeine, and they have alternative milk options. Their slush options are really good, and you can ask for customization on how they prepare it. We got the purple slush purely because my cousin's kids like that color lol. It's purple everything with them... might as well buy all the taro desserts in the world but I digress There was only one person working, so I felt really bad for her, but she was super fast at taking our orders and preparing our drinks. We went on a Monday night and it was surprisingly busy, and only had 1 person tending to I think about 9 total guests. That's a lot to handle, but she did it with grace. The location is small but cozy. You don't really come here to stay here for the whole day, but it's good for a short stint of maybe 30-60 min hanging out and drinking tea with your buddies. I can imagine people might come here for studying, but with how small the location is, I think that might be a little awkward... but what do I know, not a student anymore lol. read more

I stopped in while running errands nearby and ordered the jasmine green milk tea with boba. The tea was smooth without being too sweet, but I have to bring up that the business could be more diligent about cleaning their fixtures (see my photos), which are heavily coated in dust and made the prospect of getting food/drink rather off-putting. This is unfortunate since under different circumstances, I wouldn't mind returning for their tea. Service wasn't bad, but it also wasn't particularly memorable. read more

I've enjoyed many different drinks from AB Teahouse and I haven't been disappointed yet. My favorites are probably the Strawberry Matcha and the Almond Milk Tea. The Strawberry Matcha used fresh strawberry puree and the matcha has good flavor. The almond milk tea tastes more "almondy" than ones I've had at other places. The boba here is good here too. Wintermelon milk tea and Honeydew milk tea are good too. I like sweeter drinks but I still get mine at 75% sweetness level and it's still sweet enough for me. I've gotten 50% sweet on the almond milk tea and it still was decently sweet. The drinks come in one size and about $5.75 for the drink plus $0.75 for the boba. This place also doesn't use a ton of ice in their drinks so I get more drink compared to other places that put way too much ice in the drinks. read more

3.5 stars. This boba place has a large selection of drinks. I have gotten milk teas and fruit teas here, and the drinks are generally decent, though not the best. The boba consistently has a good taste and texture. I liked the jasmine milk tea better when they offered soy milk, but it is just not as good with almond or the default milk. The fruit teas are often too sweet, even in the absence of added sugar. I would say this place is not authentic tasting, and I suspect Korean-owned as I have heard them playing k-pop. Service is friendly and prompt. Overall, would stop by if I happen to be at Target or in that area of Cypress and in need of a cold drink. read more

I was looking for a brown sugar milk tea and this was the closest to where I was at in that moment. I decided to try it out and it was pretty empty but they seemed to have some regulars walk in (it was around 7:00pm). Staff was super nice and welcoming which automatically makes me feel comfortable. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea with oat milk and added boba, my friend got the oreos and cream and his was delicious. My drink wasn't bad but I didn't realize they were using green tea instead of black tea which is what I was expecting..nothing too bad. Overall everything was cute and quick. If you're looking for a decent refreshing drink, someplace to hang out with some AC, or a tea house with no hassle parking, this is the location. Often times I find tea houses might have just a couple of what I mentioned but this location provided it all. Parking is super easy since they're located in a plaza with a large lot. There is a lot of seating with tables for folks wanting to chit chat over their drink. And the AC on a hot day felt good. When I came to visit some folks were playing card games on one of the tables so I'm guessing staff won't run you out for taking up space. The location was clean and the drink I got tasted great.
