Solid spot for poke bowls if you're in the Cypress area! I was in the area for work - and the hotel I'm staying at is right next to Uroko Poke. Have gone here twice now! It works just like any other Build-your-own Poke Bowl spot. Assembly line-style with the employee on one side and you're on the other side of the glass picking out how to dress up your poke bowl. Employees are friendly, prompt, and efficient. Bases are white rice, brown rice, salad, broccoli - the white rice here is pretty solid - moist and fluffy - not dry or old like other spots. You get your choices of up to 6 sides - I picked spicy crabmeat, regular crabmeat, seaweed salad, avocado (first scoop free), mango and pineapple. Choice of protein - pricing based by # of scoops: 2 @ $16, 3 @ $18, 5 @ $21. I got my usual 3x Salmon. The fish here is fresh, does not carry any smell, didn't taste slimy or frozen. Sauces - I went with my usual mix of sesame oil and spicy mayo. Toppings - First scoop of masago is free, and a dash of green onions completed my bowl for me. Everything tasted fresh - and when you consider that what sets the price is the # of scoops of protein - it's a pretty good deal considering the base and everything else is normal serving scoops. Lots of seating both inside the restaurant and in the outdoors dining area. I just took my order back to my hotel. Tons of free parking alongside the food court, near El Torito. The only downside is their "revamped" Rewards system. Based on the previous reviews, it used to be a punch-type system where you get the 10th bowl free. This is how a lot of the other Poke bowl spots I've gone to work. The new system really works against you. You get 1 point for every $14 or so spent - and 24 points gets you $10 off. My medium poke bowl with tax and tip came out to $20.51 - and yes, I only got 1 point. In other words, not only do you not get a free bowl even after buying over double the number of bowls needed to previously get a free bowl, but once you hit 24 points - you only get $10 off. First time visit was a great experience. Friendly staff, attentive service, and a very clean poke bar. There were a lot of choices for add-ins and many if not all were included. Delicious fresh Poke with a variety of toppings to choose from. Good customer service is consistent and I appreciate that. I've been meaning to do a review for a while and forget. Parking is generally not too bad they do have quick 15 minute parking off to the side meant for pick ups. The staff is always working hard even when they have a long line, they are always hustling. They do sell boba drinks as well. There is plenty of indoor seats and AC is nice on a hot day. Ambiance is chill and relaxing. Placed the order ahead of time for pickup. Parking was difficult as the strip was jam packed full of diners trying to get dinner from Juicy Dumpling Factory. I appreciated the freshness of the bowl and the vibrant flavors it offered. But the 2 scoop protein bowl hardly had any eel or the spicy salmon I chose. The salad also had very disproportionate amounts of dressing. So one side had no seasoning and the other spots were drowning with dressings. My biggest gripe was the chewy and slimy texture of the eel. I was not a fan. It had a similar texture to animal cartilage or gummy bear gone stale. I will definitely skip getting eel as my protein choice for the next visit. Would I be open to returning again? Absolutely! I would probably get my dressings / sauces on side and skip the eel for a better bowl experience. I think it's still a good spot to get poke in the vicinity. read more

Since January, I've been to Uroko several times for their poke. Read my previous review regarding what sets them apart from other poke options. I still think that Uroko Poke is the best option for poke rice bowls in our area. The fish is fresh, the rice is warm, and the ingredients/add-ons are bountiful. I usually get a poke bowl and I get a few handrolls for my wife, which she enjoys. The hand rolls are premade and they're in the fridge; however, they're packaged similar to how you'd find them at convenience stores in Japan. They separate the rice/fish from the nori, which preserves the crispness of the seaweed. The details are everything and we enjoy them for what they are. I also like their milk tea and thai tea here. Overall, I've been here at least five times since December and they've been consistent. I look forward to coming back several more times. read more

Stumbled upon this little gem on my lunch break with friends. We initially came for a different place in the plaza but saw the boba sign and was like, "let's go there!" You build your own poke bowl. I got the 2 scoops for $15. It's a five step process to making your bowl. Step one (base): I got white rice as my base. Step two (sides): Chose crab meat, spicy crab meat, avocado, and cucumber as my sides. You can choose up to 6 but I think I was a little overwhelmed at the moment lol I would've added the seaweed salad and corn too. Step three (protein): My two scoops of protein, I chose their shrimp and grilled eel. So one of each. Step four (sauces): Sauces were the eel sauce and spicy mayo. I should've added more but it was still good. BTW! THEY HAVE GLUTEN FREE SAUCES Step five (toppings): I chose green onions, tempura crunch, masago, and lime. I also got a mango green tea as a drink. I paid total $20 for both and they have a rewards program if you put your number. Service was quick and efficient. Only downside I would say is I'm sad they don't have a smaller bowl option, like 1 scoop of protein instead of starting at 2 scoops. They do offer a kids bowl but it's a preset bowl and not customizable. One of my friends and I do not eat a lot. She ended up throwing away her bowl. But I took mine home for leftovers. I always get the 18 dollar, 3 scoop poke bowl; it never disappoints and comes in a generous portion--usually making up for 2 meals. I would recommend the 3 scoop bowl if you are sharing with another person or would like a little left over. The ingredients and fish are always very fresh and tasty. I would also say that the drinks are very affordable, usually not more than 5 or 6 dollars, depending on the beverage you order (they have milk teas and smoothies).
