While in the area from out of town, we decided to visit. We unfortunately came in during an event and where charged $5 each to get in. This is annoying because if we had gone in the other door, there would have been no fee. Still, this was a very cool building. I really enjoyed the murals on the wall. A nice place dog friendly. Personally speaking I did not find much variety in the types of beers offered but a small selection is not necessarily a bad thing. There's a vegan pizza wagon in the rear of the facility they will deliver to your table. A curious choice in my opinion you just have to fall in love with this brewery to love it I am not one of those people. read more

This place is so cool! It's legit an abandoned building being converted into eclectic living/working spaces. They share the parking lot with a local dispensary. While you sip on their delicious selection of IPAs (pups are welcome too), you get to lock love eyes with the brewing equipment neatly displayed in the back. Brewtenders we're knowledgeable and fruitful with their drinking tips. If you want a good suggestion the Dirty girl is where it's at, she's light, sweet and then boom where's my wallet? Pretty cool little spot. Venue itself isn't as good as the other brewery in the building, but the beer itself is generally better. Dirty Girl and Other End were both good enough I would order them when out somewhere. They don't sell single cans unfortunately, or I would have picked some more up. (Couldn't justify four packs right then....my beer fridge is already quite full and not getting turned over fast enough.) Split one with pops instead. Maybe next time... Oh, and no food truck on Sunday's apparently, but they have chips and nuts for purchase. read more

Such a great selection of beers. I went there for my sisters birthday and had a blast. They had live music and plenty of seating. We came in when it was busy with a party of 6 and they were able to seat us in one of the picnic tables. They have a BYOF policy and allow orders from the nearby restaurants since they don't sell anything other than small snacks. I loved the look of the place and had a blast talking to the staff about beers and getting an endless amount of flights. 100% recommend! read more

This happened a few weeks ago, so maybe they have changed their ways by now. Back story: I found that the beer menu didn't tell me much; it just named the style of beer and the hop varieties, and if you're not a hop nerd, you need a little more info. So I asked the bartender to tell me more about a couple of selections. He repeated what was on the menu. I said, "Yes, but what does it taste like?" He answered, "For you, I would recommend this one, because it's lighter." What? He had never seen me before, and he hadn't asked me anything about what I liked. I can only conclude that he looked at my gray hair and my femaleness and jumped to an unwarranted and stereotypical conclusion. People, I'm not a hop nerd, but I'm not ignorant either. Women drink craft beer. Baby-boomers drink craft beer; heck, we started the movement. Please watch your sexism and ageism. read more

I came here with my mum after visiting Insa Easthampton. We were wonderfully surprised by the warm and laid back atmosphere. I enjoyed the descriptions of the beers, but it was the "Nothing but a G Thang" that stole my attention, and then ensnared my tastes. It's light, rich, pleasant, and too nice to be an IPA, honestly. My mom liked her beer flight, and we played checkers and Jenga. This was a Great Sunday Afternoon. There were even dogs! I'm glad we spent it here. read more

Pretty cool space if you don't get lost or discouraged before finding it. The parking lot has Honda Civic-sized pot holes that would break your axle. There are no signs to direct you to this place and we actually stumbled over another microbrewery sign with City in the name before we found this location. It would help if the entrance to your establishment was not hidden behind a big white 18-wheeler trailer. Just saying. Once we got there for the Poems and Pints night, we tastes some decent brews. If you like good beer and you are up for an adventure, Abandoned Brewery is a great place to check out. It is a little hard to find because you have to pull in behind an abandoned building and weave your way to the back of the building. Once you are there, the place opens up into a warm and bright tasting room with plenty of comfortable seating. They have sampler flights as well as beers for purchase. Then, you can pick what you would like for your growler fills. The beer is great - I am a lover of IPAs and their Hoppy Valley IPA is delicious. They also have a really nice saison - Lola's Saison. This is a must stop for me when I am in the area because the people are nice and the beer is great. It is a really nice item to take over to a friend's house to share or to bring home and enjoy. Currently their tasting room hours are Tuesday and Friday from 5-7pm and Saturday from 12-6pm. Although I found parking to be a little bit of a challenge, which might be blamed on my GPS is telling me to try to park out front, parking is in the back, this is a divine little place to sit and enjoy yourself.There are a lot of breweries in the area, and this one is not very different from other ones, With the exception of having a nice logo any interesting location Once I figured out how to get down into the place. I'm rolling my eyes at myself, don't worry.I did enjoy the Dirty Girl IPA which is hoppy with a slightly bitter aftertaste and nicely flavored and strong like a good IPA should be. Unfortunately, I went here for an event so I did not have the chance to sample more than one beer here. On the other hand, of all the breweries I have been to, the acoustics in here were amazing. I have heard Ben Cosgrove play before, and his little keyboard tends to have a muted sound. In this room , it sounded like you were sitting inside a seashell, immersed in this overwhelmingly beautiful sound of nature. It was a breathtaking surprise. Even the friendly disposition of the bartender was enough to make me want to come back. read more

I love ABB beers, and finally made it out to the actual home location! Super cute aesthetic with the "living room" set up vs. the "brick yard". Awesome new brewery in Easthampton! While visiting from out of town, my friends took me here because they know of my love of local craft beer. They didn't disappoint. Abandoned Building is, in fact, in a creepy old abandoned building. The brewery space itself is really nice and cozy though. There are pub tables and couches for lounging. We each had a sampler, which included five beers. A pale ale, a saison, an IPA, a quadruple and a tripel. They were all really delicious, and I appreciated the variety. I enjoyed the beer, but found the space a bit dark and foreboding. It can't really be helped as they don't have any windows to let in natural light, but still. They're doing really cool things here. Not only are they producing delicious Belgian inspired beers, they also have a brewery specific farm in Hadley that produces some of their hops. They also source from other local farms for malt/barley/etc. If you're combing craft beer with socially responsible practices, there's really no wrong. Not to mention, the trap room is really cozy. read more

I used to live across the street from Eastworks and this was my go-to. They have great beer, they have boardgames, the atmosphere is SO chill, AND my doggy was a welcomed guest (they even had dog treats made from the spent grain). So awesome that I could take my dog for a walk by the river and stop in for a beer. Although I am not longer across the street, I am still on the bike path, and I am looking forward to biking down for a beer this summer! read more

After a day of sports was rained out, I decided to check out area breweries and this was my 4th stop. Its in the same building as the new city brewery, just a few doors down. Their space reminds me if an underfunded college. Couches, tables and sim lights. Their beer was ok. It was slightly better than the ither brewery in the same building. However, I wasn't blown away. 2.75 stars. They're ok, but nothing special. They are better than new city. read more

The cold brew Nightshade stout was delicious, the space was very cool, and the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable! When we were there, there was a food truck parked outside that looked delicious and a friendly mix of young people, families, and older people hanging out inside. A fun place to visit. 10 or so beers on tap, reasonable prices, and a neat atmosphere with local art, and games to play. A bit full of hipsters, but that seems to be true of every local brewery. Biggest drawback is difficulty in finding the driveway and lack of signage. Certainly worth a visit. read more

The beer keeps getting better and better. Cool vibe in the tap room. The Belladonna and Oden are fantastic high ABV ales. Hazeopotamus is a really nice NEIPA. All that plus the beer that they had since the beginning Lola Saison. Looks like they are expanding into the adjacent space. read more
