We didn't want anything too cheesy, but just wanted a photographer to capture more of the emotional moments on our special day (as well as some grouped family photos). We had a guest list of about 70 people on Saturday and a guest list of about 200 on Sunday and Asgeir did a phenomenal job on both! The Sunday wedding reception was held in a Vietnamese Banquet Hall in Westminster, CA. It was about 85 degrees that day and my parents wanted basically an hour of pictures before the reception began with family (like 100 people). Asgeir was such a great sport and although probably tired from our wedding ceremony the day before, he did yet another fantastic job on the pictures. He sent us preview pics about two weeks after our wedding (while we were still on our honeymoon, actually). And then we got the pictures back via Dropbox about two months later. TWO MONTHS! My sister had gotten married a year before us and my husband and I received ours before her. I feel like because he's just so good of a photographer, he didn't really need to photoshop any of our pictures. I realized as soon as I walked into their studio that I would be getting more than just pretty…read morewedding pictures, I would have amazing works of art that would be conversation pieces anytime anybody walked into our home. As soon as we started talking I began to feel at ease, which was a nice change from the various vendor meetings where you feel everyone is just trying to gouge you because they know it's such an important day. Sam and Bethany are very calm, definitely funny and just another cool couple to talk with. I can go on and on about them but a lot of reviews begin to sound the same (full of compliments) and I want to share my experience to help you make the best decision on what matters. During our engagement session, Sam and Bethany helped a lot with getting us comfortable and posing for pictures. They were especially great at getting my husband who is reserved and camera shy to loosen up. This is an important factor when deciding on photographers, another reason why reviews are so important because you can share in other's experiences. Sam and Bethany could make a bus bench the most romantic spot (if that's what you choose). Maybe it's because they are an awesome husband and wife team, their chemistry together is infectious. It really allows you to be affectionate and completely silly without being self-conscious of a camera around you. I just have to add that we were at our 2nd location and SIX HOURS into our engagement shoot when I fell into the ocean water. Knowing that we had already taken so many amazing photos they still offered to meet us on another day so that we could continue to the other locations we discussed. Like any prospective couple, we had no idea what we were looking for. Luna Bella was actually one of the first vendors we spoke to on the floor that day. Hours later we had come to the conclusion that they were probably who we would choose for photos, it wasn't even close after talking to a hall full of photographers. Luna Bella was actually the first vendor we officially booked and by far the single best choice we made. We actually contracted Demecio and his team to do our engagement photos on top of the wedding photos, from the start he was extremely courteous and his enthusiasm made the day fun. Even early on Demecio was open to our ideas and engaged in even the smallest details my wife or I suggested. Post engagement he was easy to communicate with, for all the vendors we worked with, it was more like talking to a friend than just someone working a contract. This was made even more apparent as leading up to our wedding and the day of his team was as excited as we were for the wedding day. There's a million things that go into a wedding day and obviously having someone to rely on to help line out details and timelines like Demecio was a godsend. On site the day of, Demecio and his team weren't just photographers. Of all things, the last thing I expected was to be complimented on how much fun our wedding guests had interacting with his whole team. Some of my family mentioned his team members by name recounting small moments they helped inspire and capture in photos we later saw. Vinney was recommended by a mutual friend for my wedding. This is more about his videography skills…read morethan the photography. About a month before our wedding date the videographer we had booked almost a year in advance decided that he was going to cancel on us for personal reasons. I asked our photographer if he had any recommendations and asked my friend in the music industry if he had any friends that we would even consider flying in. Our friend told us Vinney has some background in Videography. On his site he had more engagements than weddings I think but I liked what I saw and with about a month away I was willing to take anyone whose content looked good. The introduction was over a phone call. He asked a few questions, we asked a few questions--also knowing we were willing to fly him from SoCal and pay for his room. He sent us the proposal and contract. Vinney's communication is superb! It was very nice and he was easy to work with. He already had a pretty easy electronic payment process. Oh and the video product itself... AH-MAZING! He recommended pouring glasses of wine and sitting and watching it together, just me and my husband. Early on in the planning I asked if he could incorporate my friend's saxophone playing into the video. I had no idea when he would get it to start playing and just let him do his magic. He started the video with (I think) pretty generic music that goes with the frames. Vinney's magic came when he used the Matron of Honor's speech where she started to talk about how kind and caring my husband is and THAT was when you could hear my friend playing You'll Be in My Heart. I lost it at that moment. Like it was so epically good that the waterworks started! We've showed our family and a few friends and they rave about how well done it is. Vinney is VERY talented with his videography. His style is fun, smooth and matched our personalities. I would recommend his videography any day.

On the day he was very professional and prepared and despite our plans going awry (it rained and we did not at all stick to the shot list) he was flexible with everything going on. We are in the process of selecting favorites right now and Vinney is helping us design a wedding album to showcase the evening. However, it has been almost 3 months since our wedding and we still haven't received any of our videos; not even the highlight video. We tried to call both Nathan and Amy (his wife) many times to get update on the video but they never pickup. I'm very disappointed in his professionalism considering how famous his work is in the Vietnamese community. Update: Nathan finally sent us highlight video and full video of our wedding.
