This is the private room where you can stay and oversee the cremation process if you choose to attend.
    Chris C.

We have utilized the services of Abbey Glen twice for private cremation. We did what they call "an attending" where your pet is cremated alone while you wait in a private area and can observe - obviously you don't see your pet in the flames, but you see them go in, the door is closed, the system comes on, and you can wait to get the remains back that same day. Those duties are handled by a gent named Lou who's terrific, low key, and respectful - he keeps you apprised of the process before, during and after. Both times we feel they did very well for our family in terms of sensitivity, the handling of the remains, and the final presentation. While the office staff seems to have turned over between 2019 and 2023 (and while the business apparently was sold once or twice too) the folks were consistently kind and attentive. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is pricing. When our pet was handled in an attending service 4 years ago in 2019, the cost was $150. As a result, I assumed that roughly the same price would hold. The fault here is shared because I did not point blank ask, but I was not told either until very late in the process. $548 this time! Every detail was the same, including the modest wooden box we selected. It's understandable every business needs to change pricing, but more than tripling in 4 years was a jolt, and unfortunately will likely make us look elsewhere when (heaven forbid) our next pet passes.

Cardboard with the words is better then the one with my fur baby's ashes

This is my second fur child to be done by them. If I wanted a 2x4 cut with a hole in it that I could put my pet into, I could have done that at home. The first one I was totally devastated with. The second one I was hoping would not be as bad, but to my disappointment it came the same way. The least they could do is stain the pine box so it doesn't get water(rain and tear drops) stains. Seriously even a cheap name tag. The dang cardboard bird his wooden one came in is better then the wooden one.

Urn, paw print. Fur pull. Death certificate.

I'd like to thank with all my heart to abbey glen, for the cremation, ashes in a beautiful urn, paw print. Fur pull. I'd Definatley come back here in the next time my animal passes. Price is great and same day with extra fee for my loved one to come home same day. Very happy with the closure at the end of the day. Thank you again so very much. Arnold may you rest in peace 2014-2023. You were one of a kind and no other rabbit would replace you. you are in heaven and resting. God came to pick you up in the pouring rain and I picked you up when the sun was coming out of the clouds. And a beautiful sunset. Miss you my angel.

Recently, my cat[1] died, and the idea of burying her somewhere wasn't attractive, so cremation was the alternative. Our vet recommended Abbey Glen, so I gave them a call. Patty helped me, and was able to schedule a same-day appointment. I'm not sure how large the market is for cremating pets, but I figure it's big enough, as Abbey Glen has been around for more than a decade. Their exterior is plain, and there's ample parking. We arrived a bit late, and gave our cat's body to a staffer. They prepared her in the room next to the cremating oven, and we spent a little time grieving before they sent her body on to be cremated. The staff were respectful of our privacy, almost ninja-like in how they appeared (not in a bad way, they're Good Ninjas). The process cost $195 (they take credit cards) and took several hours. We opted to be present ($100 extra), instead of just coming and going. Included in the price was a quality wooden box[2] for the ashes (the "cremains"), and a certificate of cremation. Abbey Glen performed as advertised, and are fairly local, so I have no problem recommending them to others. [1] Or rather, the cat that owned me. [2] You can upgrade to metallic urns, crystals, etc., as the staff helpfully - and not pushily - point out.

My vet's office used Abbey Glen to cremate my kitty. I got the ashes back very quickly, in less time than they told me it would take, and everything was done very professionally. The remains were places in a very nice wooden urn and it came with a little silver plaque with his name on it that you can affix to the wooden urn. They also sent a card with the Rainbow Bridge story on it. I couldn't be more satisfied. It seems they really take care in handling your animal's remains and the cost was more than reasonable.

I'm very disappointed and saddened at how rushed and negligent Abbey Glen was while cremating my cat. I think other pet owners deserve to know about this incident. As you can see in the photo, one of his pawprints is messed up. And the writing on the side of the box was almost completely smudged, meaning that they were in a rush and didn't let the ink dry. Worst of all, I had ordered 4 boxes of pawprints for different family members who were close to my cat and wanted a memento. The shelter noted this on the form and even called to confirm Abbey Glen understood I wanted multiple. But somehow, they ended up forgetting or miscommunicating with whoever did the cremation. I ended up with only this single box. Abbey Glen said it was due to the shelter writing too small. It is true they wrote small due to the small form, but that's why they also called Abbey Glen in follow-up. When the shelter called to let me know about the mix-up, I was devastated. It was like I was losing my beloved cat again once more. I cried for hours after the call. I felt so confident in choosing this company due to their great reputation. I was excited reading all the reviews and looking forward to my cat returning to me. But from what I received back, it looks like they were in a rush and not paying attention. A cremation isn't like burying or buying something online. It cannot be reversed. What's done is done, and there is little left of my precious cat now. To Abbey Glen's credit, they were very kind and apologetic. They provided me a refund which I am grateful for. But it isn't about the money. They were careless in a very important matter and it can't be undone. I'm not angry. I'm just very sad and disappointed. I chose cremation and the paw prints because I thought it would help ease my grief just a little. But it ended up making it a little harder instead.

After 9 years of love, our sweet boy Thunder crossed the rainbow bridge Saturday May 20th 2017 at 0220 hrs. VSEC recommended Abbey Glen and we were very grateful for the professionalism and care they gave Thunder. We received his cremation remains in a beautiful wood urn with engraved plaque today May 26th. The paw print and remains allow us to keep him forever in our hearts, as he is sorely missed. We appreciate Abbey Glen and all they have done to help us heal, and move through the grieving process. We highly recommend Abbey Glen to anyone seeking funerary services for their beloved furry family members. Thank you Abbey Glen staff. We wish you the very best and will be making a donation in Thunders name.

It's was such a comforting surprise to receive Rosie's ashes, gift bagged in a beautiful wooden box along with her name plate, foot print and loving message. I truly believe she'll be waiting on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. We're so happy to have her home again.

Our baby girl back home! Beautiful!!

After 10 years with our fur baby we had to say goodbye just days before her 14th birthday. Thank you for assisting us with being able to bring her back home. The wooden urn and paw print are absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for doing what you do!!

I have had 2 beloved pet dogs cremated by Abbey Glen, one in 2018 and the next just 2 short weeks ago in the beginning of 2020. Both times Abbey Glen excelled with the presentation and delivering of our family members ashes. Both times we received a paw print along with the wooden urn and a name plaque. The paw prints that came along with the ashes meant so much to me, I have gotten a tattoo of both. Abbey Glen could easily pass the responsibilities of the minor comforting details off for the veterinarians to deal with but instead they make sure to check every box off to allow you to grieve just the way to you need to. Thank you Cooke family for all you've done for our family. Wouldn't consider leaving my pets with any other facility.

Any pet parent will tell you that losing a fur baby is one of the most awful feelings in the world…read more It's a different kind of hurt. Crippling. Crushing. A feeling that you wouldn't wish upon anyone. That's exactly how I felt when I unexpectedly lost my feline son, Osiris, a few weeks ago. I was in total shock, overwhelmed with grief, and didn't know what to do or how to handle the situation. Fortunately, my best friend (who used to work for a veterinary clinic) knew exactly where to take my fur baby where he would be treated with dignity and respect. I requested that he be cremated so that I could scatter his ashes in the place he loved most as a kitten. I also requested an imprint of his paw. What they gave me was so much more. In about three weeks, I received a beautiful blue bag containing a lovely card from the folks at Pet Memorial Services expressing care and sympathy for my loss. A beautiful and moving poem was printed in the card. Within the card, they also enclosed a tuft of his beautiful fur, a small brass plate bearing his name, and a certificate of cremation. His ashes were placed in a lovely hand-carved wooden box, contained within a sealed plastic bag, and housed inside another pretty blue satin bag to ensure that there would be no spillage. They also etched his name into the mold of his paw print. The folks at Pet Memorial Services helped to make an unfathomably difficult situation so much easier and allowed me to give my little one the send-off he deserved. They treated my fur baby with dignity, respect, and care and I simply cannot thank them enough. From the bottom of my heart... Thank you, Pet Memorial Services.

Keith was sent from above…read more My precious Cady girl crossed the rainbow bridge on a Friday night, I knew when I got home from work that it was time. I had her euthanasia scheduled for Saturday morning at 11. She chose to go on her own, she had no fight left in her. She was 19 years old (Oct 2). She had advanced heart disease and was in kidney failure due to the medication she was prescribed for her heart. She was on the medication for over 3 years, we monitored her at her primary vet as well as her cardiologist. She fought hard. Such a tough little girl. But Friday, she was done. I have thought and feared this day since the moment I got her. I wish I had gotten that one last night or taken the day off but there was no way I could of predicted what I came home to. As I sat there with her, watching her last breaths and having my hand on her last heartbeats, I had no idea what I was supposed to do. I was sobbing and saying the words that she had died were impossible . I called the vet back to cancel my Saturday appt assuming they would have a plan for her body. There is not a plan for this circumstance. The call taker just said to call around and find a place that does pet cremations. I had to google places . Only 3 places came up. 2 being closed til 9am on Saturday and the 3rd, Dear Pet Memorial Park, OPEN 24 hrs! I thought this can't be right but I called and Keith answered immediately. I don't even think it rang twice before he answered. Through my tears, I briefly explained what had just happened. No hesitation, he said, I can be there within the hour. Sure enough, he was here in 45 mins. His presence brought some kind of peace to the situation. He gave me the choice to hold her for a little while later or take her out when he arrived. I did have him take her right away. I kissed her little cold nose and handed her to him. After she was settled, ready to be transported in his car, he came back in to discuss the process. I was going with a private cremation instead of communal. He went over the timeline and said he would have her back on Tuesday. He wasn't pushy with the add ons ( paw print, jewlery, urns) he just gave me the options he had to offer. I chose a clay paw print in a shadow box , with the rainbow bridge poem on the other side. I also got the basic wooden box with her name on a gold plate. The box is not sealed which is what I would of requested anyway because I'm going to have a piece of jewelry made from her ashes. Sure enough, Tuesday is here and she is back home. The paw print is amazing, I was never able to push her paw into clay or ink and get an impression. I'm so thankful Keith was able to get it just as imagined it would be. I would recommend this business and Keith to anyone in the area. He is compassionate, and caring. The exact person/personality you would want helping you at the worst moment of your life. I can't say enough good things about him and his business. Telling him "Thank You" is not enough. To have someone , a complete stranger, come to your house and comfort you so quickly is just amazing. I will remember his kindness forever. Thank You Keith!!! I am posting a few pictures of Cady during better times.
