Fancy schmancy coffee. Plus pastries from Bien Cuit! Ooo la la. Friendly staff. Lovely space (though not much room for hanging around), and of course, good coffee! They also have a pretty good selection of teas.

    Stylish coffee drinks!

Best place to buy bags of coffee! Super cool owner and awesome staff. Stylish coffee drinks. Convenient location to pass by with friends to grab drinks. What I love most is the heart shape design on my coffee drinks! Melts my heart and brings a smile on my face!

Legit my favorite coffee spot! Customer service is amazing and the drinks here and perfect too! I don't usually drink coffee but theirs is so good, and they're also a wholesale supplier too so you can easily stock up on your coffee and chai tea here. The coffee was so smooth and not bitter at all! Also I absolutely love their dirty chai (chai tea with a shot of expresso)! Can't wait to go back for more!

I've got coffee spots galore that I go to, but none this special. It's large, cozy, yummy & a great working space. I had a caramel latte & asked for it not too sweet & the barista made just that, plus a heart foamy design? Oh, yeah. And then a doughnut with custard? Brought straight from the owner's recommendation. Oh, also, can you say AMAZING customer service? Because I can. It's hard to find these days, so, they've added me to the list of regulars here because you can't beat nice people. The owner, Logan, personally introduced himself to me & checked in a few times. In a way that was not imposing on my space, which is extra lovely because coffee spots can get really annoyed with people who coffee with work. Highly recommend sharing your energy here 'cuz it's a good vibration kind of place. Brooklyn coffee please, Renee Rises

This place is easily 4 Stars, maybe even 5. I'm 1 star because the half the joint has a warehouse/ unfinished feel. I'm guessing it will get sorted. Coffee and latte were so on point.

The coffee is definitely worth coming back(5 stars), but not the service! The girl who helped me didn't crack a smile once. Very cold, as if I were bothering her by coming in. Maybe her cat died? I dunno. But if you are passionate about coffee, you should also be passionate about your customers.

Great coffee.... they have to get the kinks out.we were served cold food Although it was cold the quiche was fantastic ..came back today no quiche,a lot of customers just sit around and having coffee ....no place to sit if you really want to eat. I wish them luck great coffee so today I got the ham croissant one piece of ham

What a cool little find in Brooklyn. Abbotsford also ships nationally. The Macchiato with an extra shot of espresso hit the spot

I love this new coffee shop! I first read about Abbotsford in a Timeout magazine and had to check it out since it's only a block from Brooklyn Boulders Gowanus. Staff was friendly and well skilled in his coffee brewing. The space is nice and open with a lot of natural light. Coffee beans are roasted in house and there are a variety to choose from, and beans are sold at a decent price to take home (12oz for $12, 2.2lbs, and 5lbs). My flat white was delicious and I'll definitely be back!

Very relaxing place , tons of space and the lay out looks amazing , the coffee is good , they do offer food but it's confusing a little they don't have a menu I guess just whatever is in the fridge but they do offer other items I saw the barista bring to a table , I just couldn't find how one would know to order it ??? Idk . They offer dub pies and other sandwiches as well as the regularly served coffee shop treats . Try this place out

Good place to decompress and chill with your Saturday night memories. Opens 9:00am Sunday morning where I can do just that.

Best coffee in NYC. They roast in house and have a great variety. But go for the dark roasts - crema, Forza, Nero.

Got a soy latte here, and it is excellent! The espresso is flavorful and smooth. Honestly one of the best lattes I've had.

Since it was my husband's and I first time we decided to get two different tastings. The Classic Trio y Shiboritate Trio. This last tasting is more unique but all the flavors were great and different to what we've tried in the past. Very smooth and delicious. Definitely recommend checking it out!

I got the Classic Trio Flight ($18), which they serve Number Fourteen, Blue Door, and Occidental. I was very impressed with all of them, regardless of how they were made. I don't think I've ever had sake this smooth in my life before. I also got to try two other drinks. The Weekend Lover ($17) consists of ube (which gives it that distinct purple color), coconut, sake kasu pina colada, msg, sweet potato shochu, Oaxaca rum, lime, and a mango leaf that they light one fire for aesthetics. This drink I enjoyed. I also tried the Kakariko Highball ($16) which is made with buckwheat shochu, japanese bourbon, sherry, soda, lemon oil. I wasn't too fond of this drink unfortunately. If you didn't know, they also serve food and they're fantastic. Don't sleep on the food! I got an order of the Kura Hot Wings ($18), which they do give you a bowl of water to wash your fingers with. There a dressing that comes on the side, not sure what it is, but do dip as it tastes great! I didn't think I'd like the Okinawa Sweet Potato Gnocchi ($14), but these tasted great. It comes with housemate pesto, which I liked as a dipping sauce. The Chicken Fried Oyster Mushroom ($15) is a great alternative if you're vegan. This comes with a russian dressing which goes perfectly well with the oyster mushrooms.

They have limited hours and tend to sell out quickly, so on a Saturday I arrived around **11:40 AM**, about 20 minutes before opening, and was one of the first three customers inside (their maximum occupancy). This isn't a place to grab a quick coffee. The owner carefully prepares each drink by hand, so expect to wait about **30-60 minutes** if there's a line. I waited around 10-15 minutes after ordering, but honestly didn't mind because the space is so calm and peaceful. While waiting, I enjoyed browsing the aroma mists, smelling the candles, and just soaking in the serene atmosphere. It's the perfect spot if you're looking for a quiet moment by yourself. For drinks, I really enjoyed the **Black Sesame Latte**. It has espresso and was smooth, light, and well-balanced. I also tried the **Matcha Maple Latte**. The matcha itself tasted like excellent quality, but next time I'd skip the maple syrup since I prefer my drinks less sweet. We also sampled several pastries: * **Hojicha Cookie** - Soft and moist with melty chocolate chips. One of my favorites. * **Coffee Caramel Cookie** - Great if you love coffee. It had a rich, bold coffee flavor. * **Black Sesame Madeleine** - Nice black sesame flavor, though I would have loved a little more butter to make it even more moist. * **Yuzu Cake** - Beautifully decorated with an edible flower and packed with bright yuzu flavor. The cake was on the drier side though. * **Chocolate Cake** - Wonderfully moist and satisfying. The drinks were around **$8.50** each, and the cookies were about **$4** each, so it's definitely on the pricier side. For my Asian palate, most of the pastries leaned a bit sweeter than I prefer, but the drinks were excellent and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Overall, this is a lovely place to treat yourself once in a while. Come for the peaceful atmosphere, thoughtfully crafted drinks, and beautiful pastries.

They also host events here, which is perfect. We arrived for a late lunch on a Sunday at 3pm and were welcomed to the backyard, which was filled. The space is a bit tight though when you're getting up and back to your seat if using the restroom or something. It was also a bit hot sitting there on a summer day. Anyways, the menu has a huge variety of options from brunch, pastas, burgers, wraps, paninis, etc. I opted for the Veggie Omelet ($15) with the Cornflake Chicken ($9) appetizer while the fiancé had the Penne Alla Vodka ($19). The portions and food was pretty good for the price and we were both stuffed by the end of the meal. I liked the refreshing salad paired with my omelet, which was filled with lots of tomato, mushrooms and spinach for a hearty meal. While I did like the texture of the cornflake chicken, it was a bit bland. You definitely need the honey mustard that was served with it. This was a satisfying meal under the prettiest back room.
