Abbott's Appliance Parts terrible!!!!! My refrigerator needed repairs wasn't keeping food cold. Contacted my home warranty Abbott's Appliance Parts came out for repairs. Upon his initial visit he arrived with no tool bag , looked inside my refrigerator for a few minutes , stated he needed to order some parts took $65.00 for service fee and left. Three weeks went by didn't hear from him. called him never answered phone When he did return for repairs ,he came with his little tool bag didn't see him with any parts. Took all the shelves out, removed a piece from inside refrigerator pulled out some ice & stated leave off for 48 hours. Worked for about a week and started doing the same thing. The worst service company I've ever had to deal with. I placed a warranty call on my oven in July 2023, it is now November and the oven is still not fixed. They took over 3 weeks to finally come out to my home, only to tell me they had to order a part (which took about a month) BTW, they came into my home with a part from Amazon so really, how long did that part take to come in? They took only 20 minutes to replace the part, and within 2 weeks my oven stopped working again. After several phone calls & complaints they came to my house again, did nothing, never even opened the oven to look at it but basically told me the part they put in was probably faulty. Now here it is 2 weeks before Thanksgiving my oven is still not working and my warranty company had to assigned to a new company to start the process over again. Abbott Appliance is the THE ABSOLUTE WORST! My dryer broke 6 weeks ago, they ordered the part and never called back to say whether it was in. Two weeks later, I called to follow up and the women said she'd follow up, but never did. I called about a week later, as the heating element then broke. She said she would order that part as well. Six weeks later they had an appointment to come back to do the two repairs, but they only did the first one as the second part was never ordered. He left my dryer not only unrepaired, but not put back together. SIX WEEKS AND THE DRYER IS STILL NOT FIXED. The repair man was rude and now I cannot get them to answer my calls. This has to be one of the worst repair companies I've ever used. I got them through my home warranty company (Select Home Warranty, a.k.a. SHW...another horrible company...bunch of crooks). They sent a man from Abbott's Appliance Parts for my stovetop oven. My burners weren't working right so they sent a man right away. When he arrived he told me it needed some new parts replaced. He told me he would order them and they should arrive directly to my home in around 3 days. Once they came in he would probably show up the same day to fix it. I've dealt with Select Home Warranty in the past and it's never been reliable. I once needed my dryer fixed and it took a whole month to have it fixed completely (they sent a first man who replaced a belt and said he was going to come back with another part...it took a month to have another man show up and finish the job). Because of my past experience with SHW, I asked the stove repairman if I could postdate my check in case I have the same issue of waiting for the job to be done. I didn't want to have to wait again. He said sure. Soon after he left I got a call from the repair company and told me they wouldn't accept a postdated check and I had to send another check to pay for the visit. I said okay and mailed in another one. When they got it I got a message telling me the SHW accepted the claim and was going to pay them $58.00 for the parts, but I had to pay about $225.00 out of my own pocket! I fumed and called the warranty company. They told me they would only cover the parts, not the installation. I had no choice to pay since we have this nasty habit of eating for a living. This company took about 3 weeks to come and fix it. Trying to get in touch with them is nearly impossible since they rarely ever pick up the phone, it always goes through it's voicemail. When the guy finally came all he did was take off the top of the burner, stuck a pin through a little hole and then put the new burner on top. It took him all of 5 minutes to do all that, and for that I had to pay $200.00 out of my pocket (they decided to give me a break and took off $25). All you have to do is lift the burner right off the top of the stove and put the new one on. It takes very little effort. I take it off myself to clean the stove (though over years and cooking some of the grease is hard to come off without scratching it). If you want to waste your money for lousy service, this is the perfect company to use. They suck!!! read more

I would give them a zero but one is the lowest allowed. They have been trying to fix my appliance since june 1st. The parts needed to be ordered so took them about a month to get them after some excuses on availability. Abbots schedules an appointment and then calls 9am when they are suppose to be their performing repairs that the parts are not complete and even if they did repair it would breakdown again. I took a half day off from work so i can be there for the service call and they tell me this at appointment time. They finally come out on july 25th perform the replacement and 24 hrs later the machine is broken again with the same issues. These guys are not only disorganized and unprofessional but do not know how to service miele products. not sure how they are even in the business of appliance repair. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I was assigned Abbott's Appliance Parts through my home warranty program. They scheduled an appointment to look at my refrigerator and after five minutes the technician said I needed a part. I didn't hear from the company for about a month and they didn't respond to any attempts to contact them. When I called the home warranty company, Abbott's responded within an hour. They said the part took a while to come in and scheduled a time to install. On the day of the appointment, they texted to say the wrong part had been sent and they would order the new part. After two weeks of not hearing anything and their unresponsiveness to texts or calls, I again called the home warranty company. Again Abbott's contacted me shortly after. They scheduled the appointment to return and install the part. After it was installed, I called to say it wasn't working. Abbott's said they would look at the technician's schedule and get back to me. That was three weeks ago. I've given up on this company. They have horrible customer service. I recommend highly that you run as far and fast as you can away from this company and go to someone with more skill and reliability. read more

to whom it may concern: abbotts's appliances is the worse company you can possibly do business with..in july 2018 this company was sent to my home from my home warrenty company to repair my dishwasher..the service man came and spent about 10 minutes looking the dishwasher and said that he needed a part and that he would order the part and be back to repair it within 10 days..he then asked me to give him $60 dollars which is my deductible..i told him that I had other repairmen come in and that they took the deductible when the repairs was completed ..he insisted and foolishly relented and gave him a $60 check.. after 10 days not hearing from the company I called and they set up a date to fix the machine..i waited around all day and they never showed up or called..the next day I called and they set up another date and the same thing happened..i called several other times and now they won't answer the phone or my messages..i then decided to go to small claims..the case was called in January.. and they never showed up in court so I won a default judgement..two weeks later I get a letter from abbotts's saying the summons was sent to an old address...I refiled another suit for my $60 plus court costs..the day before the case was to heard I get a call from abbotts asking if I want to settle because they can't make it to court..i told that that I want a cashier's check for $100 within 5 business days..i told them if I do not receive the check next week that I will sue them for 2 days lost wages and the hell they put me through..i will ask for $1000 total..i will post you on what happens this business is horrible and the people are the next thing to outright scam artists read more

These people are complete SCAM ARTISTS!! I have a home warranty service that I put a claim in with to have my dishwasher repaired. They selected this complete rip-off of a company. The technician that first diagnosed the problem said I needed a new motor and had to order the part. Two weeks later, two different technicians came back to fix it. They replaced the motor and the dishwasher still wasn't working and told me the whole control board was bad and left. My warranty company told me they were waiting for the second diagnosis from the technician so they can approve the new cost of the repair. It's been over two weeks and Abbott's has not sent in the diagnosis and has not answered any of the several messages left by myself and the warranty service. They completely ghosted us. Today I found out why. My warranty service already paid them the initial repair amount of $521 and they didn't fix anything!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Now I'm left to fight with my warranty company to pay for a new technician to fix my dishwasher. They are denying the whole amount because they already paid to supposedly have it fixed. He came in a passenger car , no truck, turned on the dryer and without even looking at it said it was the heater element and it would have to be ordered. He said it would take a few days to get. After not hearing from them I contacted them to follow up on the repair and my calls were not returned. He did in fact, cash my check for the service fee the same day though. I called another repair service and he diagnosed the same issue but he had the part on the truck and repaired it immediately. After I left them a message to cancel, I got a call from them and was told they had a problem with their phones.I do not recommend this company because after seeing reviews about them I see that this is a normal practice with them. read more

I realize they sold us a "refurbished" dryer but the motor NEVER worked. They said they would order a new one and put it in for $75. They gave us the run around for three weeks and just flat hung up on us yesterday when we called to see when they could come out. On October 15, 2019, at the recommendation of a friend, l called Abbott's Appliance because my Speed Queen dryer had stopped putting out heat on any cycle. Abbott's showed up and told me it needed a part and told me it would cost me $363...cash or check only, no credit cards. I paid the technician the $363 with a check, which cleared mt band in a matter if a few days. Abbott's returned to my home on October 23, 2019, ostensibly to complete the repair. The technician told me to come and see...the machine was then producing hot air. As soon as he left, l noted that the light inside the dryer was no longer functioning and, more importantly, the dial when set to any cycle did not advance at all. Had l failed to notice this in time, the machine would simply have continued to run until it either burned up the heating element or destroyed both the machine and my clothes. Thankfully, l am not in the habit of leaving machines running unattended when l leave the house. l called Abbott's and was told they had been sent the wrong part by their supplier. We went through the same procedure with the excuse of getting the wrong part a second time, and after two months of calling Abbott's and getting their answering machine about once in every calls l made, they told me last week they would have the part and would come do the job Thursday, October 12, between 2:00 and 5:00 P.M. They never showed and never bothered to call, either. This past two times l called and left a message, l suggested refunding my $363 and thus allowing me to have the work done by another company. l have had to dry clothes by hanging them in the house much of the time or risk damaging the dryer more. Almost two months have gone by and l have gotten nothing but excuses. I RECOMMEND THAT OTHERS REFRAIN FROM USING THIS COMPANY. I AM LEFT WITH NO RESOLUTION BUT TO TAKE THEM TO COURT BECAUSE THEY IGNORED MY TWO REQUESTS TO REFUND MY MONEY. THIS COMPANY RARELY ANSWERS THEIR PHONE SO YOU RARELY GET A PERSON TO WHOM YOU CAN SPEAK. If I could give them zero stars I would. My husband and I are new homeowners with 2 kids under 2 yrs old and I feel like this company tried to take advantage of us. We moved into this home one year ago and called Abbott's to fix our oven. I thought it was convenient that when I called to have them assess the situation, they came only a few hours later that day. The service man stated we would need the oven board rebuilt, that it would take 2 weeks, and that it would be $400. He would need $225 up front. (This would include an $89 service call fee). Two weeks go by, I dont hear anything so I give them a call. The woman that answers the phone, Mary, tells me the company they sent it out to just shipped it and it would arrive the next week. Another week goes by, I dont hear from them, I give them another call. She tells me the company mustve not shipped the part still and that she will have to call me back. Meanwhile, the week prior, she told me she spoke with them and they told her it would arrive this particular week. So that was a lie. Yet another week goes by, still do not hear from Abbott's. I give Mary yet ANOTHER call. Now, she tells me.. the company is telling her they can not repair this piece. SOOO, all of the weeks prior of teling me it is being shipped back to them and she will "call me as soon as they receive it" was just her blowing smoke up my ass. Now for the fun part. I ask if they can waive the $89 service fee due to all of the trouble I have gone through this past month, she tells me she will ask the owner and call me back. Does she? No. I call Abbott's AGAIN. The latest: I will be refunded my deposit but they are keeping the $89. Anddddd I have to wait intil Thursday (its Monday) after 2p to pick up my money. Abbott's came out to repair my dishwasher. They told me I needed a $420 part. Weeks later they finally came out to install the part. After they left the same thing was wrong with the dishwasher. I called and they said I needed another $100 part. I refused to spend more so they said they'd come out with the part. TWO weeks later the tech finally came back. He spent 10 minutes playing around with the dishwasher and declared he had no idea what was wrong and they'd issue a credit. It took two weeks and several calls to finally get this credit. I am still out the service call fee. This entire process went on for over 6 weeks! On top of that they were rude, did not return calls, and often didn't answer their phone! I went to Abbotts for a part for my ancient electric stove. The burner had stopped working. Now I am handy and figured out what the problem was and presented the faulty burner to Mary at the desk. She took the time to hunt the store and find the part I needed explaining what she was doing along the way. This without a model number even and also volunteered to hold the adjoining part once it was in the shop in case this fix was not the end of the issue, that part was on back order. My stove is now working and I could not have been happier to have gotten it done with such a helpful person. read more

Serviceman said they sent the wrong part and he would go back and order the right one. Never heard from them again. Called several times and got a song and dance about how the part was discontinued. Owner came out and told me he could fix them within an hour or two for $600, they would be like new and I would get many more years out of them. Told me the work and parts were guaranteed for one year. Then he said "or for just $700 he had a set back at the store in very good condition" he could sell me. I went to the store and the set he was going to sell me was not large capacity which I had and was low quality. I chose for him to fix my machines. Then I get a phone call that he will have to removed both machines from the house to fix them at the store, should only need a few days and they would bring them back and hook up. Well, he was paid in full by now, had my machines in his store for WEEKS!!! I had to keep calling back to ask for my machines. I got every song and dance imaginable. Finally, about 3 1/2 weeks later my machines come back, they hook them up, and they work. Dryer worked for 2 weeks and washer worked for about 8 weeks. My mother said " call him back, he said they were guaranteed." Are you kidding me?? I didn't want those people any where near my home. I lost $600 to those low life, scamming, thieves. I really don't know how they stay in business. I found out after the fact that they have a very bad reputation and had a lot of complaints with BBB under their previous business name. On Friday August 4th we first noticed a Problem with our 9-year old GE Profile Side By Side Refrigerator. My wife called Abbot Service and described the situation as the Ice Maker not making Ice Cubes and that the temperatures in the Freezer and Refrigerator were erratically rising above Normal. That evening, the Abbot Service person made a visual inspection of the unit. No tools or meters were used for a diagnosis. We were advised that a repair, including a Control Board would cost $400. We decided against that and paid the $89.00 Service Call. Being a trained and experienced electronics person, I ordered a New "Control Board" with a 2-day delivery. By the next morning, Saturday Aug 5th the Freezer and Refrig Temperatures had come down to near normal. Throughout Saturday, however, the Temps began to slowly rise again. By Sunday Morning Aug 6th they were back down to near normal. I received and installed the New Control Board by approx 2 p.m. Sunday. But throughout the balance of Sunday and into Monday morning - the unstable "Up and Down" temperatures continued. I removed the New Control Board on Monday morning, and put the "Original" Control Board back in - since the New Board did not fix the problem. On Monday Aug 7 my wife called GE Service. On Tuesday, Aug 8 the GE Service Tech came and I told him about the Abbot Service call and diagnosis of needing a new Control Board. I also told the GE Service Tech that I purchased and installed a new Control Board on Sunday but removed it on Monday morning because it did not fix the problem. The GE Service Tech had electronic diagnostic equipment that connected to the back of the Refrigerator and based upon my explanation of the constant up and down Temp Changes he diagnosed the issue as being "Sealed-System" blockage issues. He also said that the Control Unit would not have fixed the problem. I asked about the Temp Sensor parts or Defroster Heater and he said they would not fix the problem, either. read more

While at my beach house my husband noticed our Miele dishwasher was not working properly. Since I had renters coming in a few day I thought I should have a service call. After reading the reviews I contacted Abbotts. They were very professional and sent a service man the same day. I was told I would need a brand new computer board, about $500. I realize I didnot need such a high end dishwasher and contacted my regular appliance dealer who sold me the machine. He was quite surprised at the need for a new computer. He suggested I contact Miele who did a few diagnostic tests and said because of the town power issues the system just had to run thorough. I was very appreciative I made the right decision not to follow the advice of Abbotts service rep. read more
