I was quoted a absolutely ridiculous amount for a taxi. Go ELSEWHERE. They don't care or the guy on the line didn't at all. Save your money or spend it on someone else who will actually value it. Completely crazy price for about 2 hours. My ticket going to the west coast from the east coast on a train wasn't even as much as they quoted me just to get to the train station. We had a great experience with Tommy our driver from Abby Cab and also with the dispatcher and the ease of booking. We were stranded late Saturday night in Boone on the last day of our vacation because our rental car got a flat and the spare tire was bad. We were able to communicate with Abby Cab late Saturday night and they secured a car for us first thing Sunday morning to drive us two hours to the Charlotte Douglas Airport in time for our flight. Tommy was kind and prompt and a very knowledgeable and safe driver. His vehicle was safe and clean for installing the two carseats for my kids. Great cab company! My daughter was on her way home to Raleigh when her car broke down. She was stranded on I-40 in Morganton late on a Friday night. We called Abby Cab and Chris assured us he would get a driver there as soon as possible, and he did. They called my daughter right before they arrived to let them know they were almost there, and then again when they arrived so she would know that it was them stopping. Unfamiliar with the area, we looked online for a 24-hour restaurant she could wait at for two hours before someone could pick her up. The driver recommended one that was safer, which we really appreciated. We were able to pay for her ride over the phone which was really convenient.
