Instead of being connected directly to the terminal, the rental car facility is across a bridge, so be prepared for a short walk before picking up your vehicle.

There's an adequate selection of food options for a regional airport, and I especially like the second-floor area for Delta Air Lines flights from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport to Atlanta. TSA was a bit confusing as signage told you one thing and you were supposed to do another which was inconvenient but not a hassle. We also got through with some full size products that we had to throw away on the returning flight that wasn't flagged. It's about the same distance as CLT but for the ease I'd easily fly here again.

We did have to go back out through security to reach this oasis but going back through TSA was so quick and easy. The airport also, had a lovely art exhibit in our terminal which was nice as well. Don't care to get stuck again but if I have to fly through this Airport I am onboard.

I will start with the destination, this being the Tri-Cities Airport. This airport is a kind of quad-state airport as it serves Tennessee obviously being in Tennessee, but it's also close to the state borders of Virginia, North Carolina, and Kentucky. Kind of like how my current home airport serves both Connecticut and Massachusetts. It's also a very small airport. My dad seems to like it and so I imagine I will see this airport again, but whether or not I agree with him still has yet to be determined. This airport has just one terminal with 7 gates. Of those 7, maybe like 4 get used. The planes they had me get in were way too small for my height as I am over 6-feet tall. It makes flight super hard to sit through if I happen to have a pinched nerve on my shoulder that day. Really, those are my big knocks on this airport. I do have plenty positives to say about this though. The airport staff is friendly. Even TSA don't seem like heartless evil jerks. Also, because it's so small, TSA is actually a breeze to get through here and you can navigate this place really easily because of how straightforward it is. The interior looks nice as it looks like it had been redone in recent years. It's also not a crowded place which is good. Baggage claim isn't too bad, but because of how small the airport is, you kind of have to guess where your luggage is coming from. Also, for a small airport, parking can get really overcrowded at times, but any least the parking staff was nice. Bathrooms were okay too. At the end of the day, I think a 3 is the right rating. Does enough to function, but it's not built for the bigger planes that I would need.

The terminal was recently renovated and is modern and clean with natural wood tones, stone work, and river-inspired flooring patterns, There was ample seating options. A special message to the man at the information desk, at the baggage claim area, who insisted that there were no signs indicating the rental car counters or at the baggage claim area. The picture I've posted with this message proves otherwise, as I insisted to him several times. I hope I return to this airport when they're done all the construction. I won't have to run back-and-forth through the Construction tunnel 3-4 times to get to the right rental car area. It was rather annoying.
