Shared a 13" 1/2 pepperoni/ sausage pizza with the family + a small order of spuds and soft drinks. Pizza was amazing-just like I remember as a child. This is my first time on Yelp. I never wanted to be one to complain online but I feel like I need to warn others. The last few times I ate it I had gotten sick. At first I thought it was just me but this last time my whole family was curled up in the fetal position in bed with a bucket by their head. Everything has changed, it's all frozen,the ranch is different, and they had no spuds or salad bar. Be careful if you order it. We've recently moved into our new home in Grants Pass, and after several days of unpacking and falling down dead tired to sleep at about 7:30PM, we decided one night to have pizza delivered. We chose Abby's, and chose to order their special 3-meat pizza which was on sale. It was delivered fast, by a very friendly driver. The pizza was excellent. My thing is bread. I love bread and the pizza dough has got to be cooked just right, crispy but chewy and also soft. And it was cooked perfectly the way I like it! I mean, I guess you could call this pizza. Its edible, and that's as much as I can say about it. I didn't want to kill myself during this experience, but I'd be lying if the thought didn't cross my mind. It's similar to getting a dry hand job while you have a soft dick, you can try it, but it's not going anywhere. And the price! Oh lord the price! Driving home after visiting family, we were very discouraged by all the small town eateries that had closed or rather all the small town business that just disappeared. The people that are saying this pizza is even remotely good must be on drugs or have never tasted real pizza before. This is probably one of the lowest quality pizzas I've ever had. They overload the toppings which is great, but they are pretty low quality ingredients so it doesn't really matter. Some people think that dominos sets the bar very low for pizza. Abby's makes domino's look like real New York pizza, yet it's more expensive! $25 for a large 3 topping pizza that tastes like a festering goats anus and gives you diarrhea the next day. Perfect pizza every time! So full of flavor and super fresh ingredients. They're really nice too! If you order for pick up, your pizza is typically ready within 15-20 minutes. The delivery takes a little longer though and they don't deliver for orders under $20. The inside of the pizza joint is kept clean and organized. The salad bar is kept fresh too. The woman who took the order was very unhelpful with our questions and basically laughed at us when we didn't know they didn't carry a medium-sized pizza. We went to Abbys on a Saturday night and ordered a salad plus pizza and beer. The person taking my order did not seem to know what a IPA was, although they had more than one. When we picked up our order that we were eating in, the salad was in a plastic to go container. When I asked for a plate I was given a paper plate. I understand about COVID, but why serve pizza on a regular serving tray and regular glasses and not the salad? Visited for the first time. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! The manager (middle-aged man with greying, dark hair, approximately 5' 11") was extremely rude and couldn't be pleasant if his life depended on it! Our pizza was disgusting! Cardboard crust, little sauce, hardly any cheese. It was one step above eating the pizza box. The worst thing besides the pizza was the amount of time it took to get it. We received one pizza in our order and waited for the other two. After 20 minutes, I stepped up to the counter to ask where the other pizzas were. The employees and manager finally figured out that they had been packaged to go, instead of dine-in and were just sitting on the counter. All the manager could offer was, "Sorry about that." The pizza was cold. The manager never checked on our order, offered a remake of fresh hot pizza, or a percentage off for the inconvenience. A good joint that's easy to find off the highway! We were looking for something quick and easy that was cost efficient so that my family and I could get back on the road! We got the chicken garlic white pizza along with the equiv. of potato skins with parm sprinkled on top for 3 people and it was more than enough food for all of us. The workers there were nice and it seems to be a local joint where plenty of people celebrate things (birthdays, promotions, anything requiring seats for more than 8 people basically). We walked in with people watching sports on the TV while sharing a few pitchers of beer with a combined kids birthday party in the other corner. Even with all that, there were still seats everywhere. The place is also perfectly situated across from Safeway, so any last min. traveling needs (or if you're hungry for more). If I was rolling through Oregon, I'd stop by hear again for sure! read more

I'm from Oregon North Coast passing through Grants Pass. I asked the hotel crew for a good pizza joint. They mentioned a couple and I picked this one. Typical pizza parlor with lots of customers. I ordered the meat pizza in a 10" size. It came up rather quickly which was good. The crust was great but for some reason I'm not sure why there was no flavor. Maybe too little sauce. Not sure what all the complaints are about. We're in from out of town, ordered delivery & couldn't have been more impressed. Delivery guy was not only friendly & courteous, but went above & beyond by bringing plates & extra condiments. On to the pizza itself, ordered a Hawaiian + jalapeños, arrived loaded with toppings. I'm from the East Coast & have pizza literally on just about every corner, Abby's blew me away. Ignore the bad reviews. Loved the pizza, loved the experience, will definitely order from Abby's again next time we come through the area. read more

Abby's used to be my favorite pizza shop. The last few months, I've ordered 4 or 5 times from them. Their chicken wings are still good, but the pizza has gone downhill. I usually get the pepperoni or taco pizza. The taco pizza just is much more bland than it used to be; the toppings used to include very fresh tomatoes & lettuce, but now they are soggy. The pepperoni taste like it's been sitting under a heat lamp half the day before they delivered to us. Don't think I'll be wasting any more of my money here. I can get old tasting pizza at a 1/3 of the price elsewhere. read more

An update to my earlier post below. Abby's reached out to me based on my comment which I really appreciate, so they do take the feedback to heart. As it turns out, this location is not 1.8 miles from my home (as indicated by Yelp), but is 2.9 miles away, exceeding their 2-1/2 mile limit. At least one of their competitors has a 4 mile limit, so this restriction is costing them business, but I credit Abby's for looking into the situation and getting back to me. For this reason, I am raising them from 1-3 stars. ----------------- Jeez - I guess my business is not important to these guys. I called this Abby's location which is only 1.8 miles away from my home, but they won't deliver to my address since they are "on the other side of the river" so they referred me to a different location which is "on my side of the river", 2.9 miles from my home. I called the other location and they said that I was too far out and their delivery limit is an address which is only about a quarter of a mile from my home. I am guessing that Abby's delivery limit is about 2-1/2 miles, or to a river, whichever comes first, or maybe they just can't figure out how to use a bridge to get across. One of their competitors, located farther away, and who seems to know how to use a bridge got the business and the driver got a very nice tip. If Abby's won't go the extra quarter mile for their customers, I suspect they might not do the same with their on-site service. Customer service matters and Abby's won't be getting my business in the future. read more

This place is DIIIIRTTYY. Unsanitary everywhere, smelled like cigarettes. No scent of pizza at all. Unfortunately we still ordered, chicken wings were chewy and raw. Ranch was warm and sour. Someone in there smelled like B.O to the max. There were sights of buttcracks, kids sneezing out in the open and a train wreck of a salad bar. In town for a swim meet and wanted something fast and close but wanted a sit down meal. Have always seen Abby's but have never tried it. Arrived and saw quite a few people inside but went up to the counter and ordered a giant pizza with salami and Canadian bacon. I inquired as to the wait time and was told 10-15 minutes. Surprised it would be that fast. Meal was reasonably priced. Good came within promised time frame. Employees were very nice and helpful. Pizza was very good. Bacon was crumbly and crisp just like we like it. Would definitely come back and we do recommend you stop by. This is the place for a nice pizza, served quick in a nice environment. read more

Seems like the service and quality is a thing from the past. I ordered pick up and the entire pizza was wrong. It seemed as if it was an inconvenience to correct it.
