Fast forward to our local kindergarten enrollment and he is extremely well equipped to tackle kindergarten. When most kids are just learning to put together words, he is already reading and writing. While YMMV, we have been very happy with our son's experience at the Montessori Academy. It is a small school with a low student to faculty ratio. There is a lot of individualized attention that I think is key component to the kids' successful learning experience.

Lil Rascals went under new ownership in May…read more My son started at Lil Rascals in late December and after him attending for a month I felt like I had finally found childcare I would use until he started kindergarten. My main concerns were that my child felt loved, safe and happy and Lil Rascals accomplished this. My son absolutely loved going to "school" everyday (and he is not a social butterfly). He loved his teachers and his classmates. The hours were great at 6:30-6. The cost was in line with the area. In late April we were informed lil rascals was going under new ownership. It appeared the philosophy changed as curriculum being a priority. The price more than doubled for my son as a full time attendee at $10 per hour and the hours were cut from 7am to 5pm. My son no longer attends lil rascals.

They are kind hearted, loving, caring, wonderful people. Our son has autism and they were always willing to work with him. He also has a profound language/speech delay, and so he has a limited vocabulary and difficulty expressing himself. Every single one of those teachers worked with him and loved him and cared for him just as they would any other child. No matter what, they were willing to work with us and our son. When we had financial difficulties, they were willing to work with us. This is just by far the best daycare center ever. In the past we had a couple good experiences, but the home-based daycare we were at before going to Ma's 3 years ago was horrible and left my faith completely destroyed in daycare. The women at Ma's L'il Champs have completely restored my faith in daycare because of their excellence in what they do. Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this place. I cried when I had to pick up my son there for the last time. Maybe I'm going to have a harder time than he is adjusting to the new place he has to go to. I would recommend Ma's L'il Champs to anyone for a daycare center. In fact, I have recommended them to many people in the past. There's only one thing that matters when it comes to your child, and that is that they are loved and well cared for when they are in someone else's hands, and that is exactly the way they will be treated at Ma's.

Me and my wife decided to keep him at this facility just for social interaction with other kids. We were preparing him for kindergarten. Because his birthday month his August, he will have to go through assessment to be accepted into Kindergarten program. We have to prepare him by ourselves in everything from reading to arithmetics. This is not our first rodeo. When our little girl was in pre-K class at a different facility, she will come home with reading, writing, shapes, matching, coloring, drawing.., assignment, preparing them for Kindergarten. The horrible service we received from here made us appreciate Williams Christian daycare more. I would have let this bad curriculum slip, but they did the worst when they charged us extra week of service we did not receive. They claim we did not give them 2 weeks notice which I did but their email bounced 3 times before it finally delivered. I even faxed it to them when I was not sure if the email was delivered. I pay out of pocket, am not relying on government help because I can afford it, but I hate extortion. This does looks like it. They said, "their email that bounced back is my problem and my fault." I am a trained teacher and I know what an excellent teaching looks like. They probably have standardized curriculum given to them by the state, but do not know how to execute it. They even played on my intelligence a little that they were going to return my money by collecting my card information telling the money will be return in 4-5 business days. Only to call back after 2 weeks and listen to their BS. The $296 they took from my card probably enrich their pocket, but it shows that they only care about the money and deliver zero excellence.
