I felt that the volleyball director was acting as if she was the boss of the entire place and that her decisions could not be questioned. Instead of listening to members and treating everyone fairly, she came across as controlling and dismissive. I believe members should be treated with respect and given an opportunity to express their concerns without feeling intimidated. Incident: Summer 2025 Volleyball league currently running at this facility is not recommended, nor will we ever go back to this facility. Recreation coordinator, Chris Geiger, demonstrated he doesn't follow the YMCA motto, especially regarding the current volleyball league, and was unprofessional and dismissive towards us. This is the mission motto shown on the YMCA's social media videos and is on display at the facility as well: "To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all." As long-standing Catholics/Christians ourselves, addressing people with respect and empathy is part of our lives. This YMCA stresses this motto but Chris does not follow it, nor does the employee in question, Jordan, aka J (who was on our VB team, at the time). During a game play, Jordan unnecessarily came running and slide hard into me (from a VB postion that he wasn't supposed to and didn't need to): as a result, I fell forward and hit my head on the VB court from his slide. Chris was refereeing this game and witnessed this incident but did nothing about it. It was clear I was disoriented from this hit and noone even bother to check on me. The game ended quickly and thereafter I went to the local Expresscare to have my head check for concussion: the Doctor did verify it. Next day, we presented a professional email to Chris about this incident and he didn't respond back to us. To not address this problem was unprofessional, unethical and inhumane. You don't dismiss people when there is a problem, especially a problem where you are a witness to the incident. In the end, we stop going to this facility because Chris fails as a coordinator in addressing safety, professionalism and empathy + he has shown to not follow the motto of the YMCA. Jordan never apologized for his reckless and unstandard playing methods either, which was unprofessional and unethical. read more

I never had any issues with gym people, equipment but I am giving 1 star to the kidszone, the area 0-5 years old. Playroom or Kidszone is a total nightmare experience almost every single time. I wish I never had to use that damn playroom but that's the only way I can get my work out in. This playroom is implanted there so that parents can work out with ease and peace instead the employees there are making everything possible to make it VERY VERY DIFFICULT. They are literally using every single "policy" as an excuse to send you home is what it feels like. Obviously I can't work out once they call me to pick up my kid. I am wasting my gas, my time, dragging on the cold 3 kids from the parking lot to the playroom requires tremendous physical energy just to be called after half an hour is beyond annoying . My daughter has a chronic cough every single winter, they don't want to hear nothing they just send us home. The only positive thing is Chris Mallers, who always helps me with playroom issues when playroom workers are refusing to listen to me. This is a very frustrating situation. Because of people like the employees in the playroom, you think a lot that you are punished for having kids and can't workout because they literally won't let you spend 2 hours in the gym area in peace. Then, why then ymca has a daycare in the first place? As a note, I took my two boys to the former Omni for 5 years until they went to school, I was never called once, let that sink in... My advice, don't go there in the afternoon during the week with kids. There is micro management going on there where every child is looked upon through a microscope. That doesn't happen on the weekends because it's too busy and probably not during rush hours. The less kids there, there more likely, they will call you. read more

The new Y is very nice in terms of facilities, but it is so poorly managed it's hard to use it effectively. The staff is so underpaid that it's apparent they hate working there. The workers upstairs also just sit on their phones. There are so many members that just sit on the machines that need to be policed better, but the workers are too busy on their phones. It's so crowded all the time that it's almost impossible to lift upstairs. They should start capping memberships like they used to. It would also help if they were open 24 hours. The pools are also always filthy and crowded. They never put the vacuum in the outside lap pool. If there were any other gyms in the area that had a pool, I think many would switch from the Y. read more

Updates to my 3 star now that I have used the services. Still a BEAUTIFUL facility but still unhappy. I use the kids clubhouse, classes and sauna. Every time I bring my child here he is sick the next day. One time I picked my child up and there were broken crayons all over the floor and he was putting them in his mouth. He is 18 months. When they asked what child was mine I said the one standing by himself putting the broken crayons which are a choking hazard in his mouth. I now have anxiety leaving my son here. The last time I dropped him off again broken crayons with the same staff member and I said you need to pick those up. This is pretty common sense not to have a CHOKING hazard laying around where toddlers and babies are playing. The fitness classes- always full. I have to set timers to sign up for the class as soon as registration opens. The kids classes also cannot get in as they are always full on evenings or weekends. But today takes the cake. I took off work so I could do a cycling class, a yoga class, sit in the sauna and take a shower while I have childcare since my kid is sick again from coming here. Sauna is broken. I was one minute late to the spin class (because I couldn't find parking) and the door was locked. There was another woman also walking right next to me that was like omg I cannot believe they locked the door, are we even late. She knocked on the door and they definitely were not letting us in. Fine I went and walked the track. Then I go to the yoga class and the instructor didn't show. So the THREE things I took off of work to do at the Y did not happen today. The lady that was also locked out of the cycling complained she had to wait to check her child into the kids club. Upon leaving today I complained to the front desk. I was told they lock the door to the spin room for safety reasons if the class is started, the sauna has been closed for a week and they don't know what happened to the yoga instructor. That's it. I pay extra money for my son to attend a swim school and if there was a gym in the area that had childcare and classes I would pay more money for that. The price is great for the amenities here....if you can use them. read more

I so desperately want to give this YMCA a five star review, due to its wide range of classes, Beautiful indoor and outdoor pool, friendly staff and clean facility, but I have run into a few snags. Classes have been canceled without notice., twice. Once, a class was completely removed for the month, even though it was posted on the paper schedule, but not posted on the app. Another time the instructor was not able to teach, but there was no notification to tell the class of 15-20 people, sitting there waiting for class to start, that it was cancelled. A simple note on door would have worked. Ran out of hand towels to wipe down machines. With the weather getting cooler, the locker available availability has decreased. People were placing their coats on top of the locker and using handicap. read more

This is a beautiful facility and it looks like they have many activities. For a homeschool family it is very limited. When I joined for the month and discussed the drop off child care they failed to mention kindergarten and up does not have drop off until 4pm. I was shown a class that I could pay extra for developed for homeschoolers, but this was only on Wednesdays. Providing options during the day may be beneficial for the homeschool families. It can also benefit the YMCA as I'm sure after school and work are peak hours. Sad my family had to cancel. read more

It's very nice to get the children out of the house. Especially when you have a house full of gamers! I am so very happy they have the watermark side and the inside area as well. It's so nice to spend a little time with the children(actively). The lifeguards are very helpful and friendly. They explained the swim test to where all the children could understand what was asked of them. They don't act mean or like their time is being wasted. They have all taken plenty of time with us and the whole experience has been great. The kids definitely enjoy their time here. Nice clean and fun! read more

I love this place , and I'm grateful, but wish the young staff members would be a little kinder and respectful to the elderly in the inside pool area , it's like we don't belong there or want us there , rude when you talk to them or ask them something, one staff member a young man with a tattoo on his arm told me , some older people are a pain here then walked away from me , when I asked if I could use the Door from inside the pool area to go out to the outside pool area , that comment sucked the air right out of me . read more

The most spectacular fitness facility I've ever seen anywhere. Beautiful amenities and environment. The weight training equipment and workout area is spacious and has everything you could want with extensive machines and free weights. They have 2 studios for group classes and a spin room. I love this facility. The machines and staff are awesome. My one complaint is that several lockers have been broken into and had items and money stolen. I've seen first hand someone come up to an employee Saying they can't get into their locker. With no questions asked the employees just open them and that's how things get stolen. We had over $100 stolen and there are no cameras in the locker rooms. suggestion: have an employee take the name of the person asking to get into a certain locker, or at least have the person describe what is in that particular locker. your employees are literally opening lockers without making sure those belongings actually belong to that person. This is negligence on your facility for not being more diligent in making sure that employees are making sure it's that particular guests locker. And there has been no offers to replace the money or items. Please train your employees on the correct way to open a locker by making sure this doesn't happen again. I hate to see you guys lose business because of negligence on your part. We have a right to trust that whatever goes in your lockers will still be there. Slightly disappointed that no kind of compensation Was offered. read more

My sister hosted my nephews second birthday here. She is a member here. They gave us a giant room which was perfect for the kids to run around in. It had a kitchen and counters with plenty of tables to sit and eat. The kids were able to swim as long as they were supervised. I def recommend for a party! read more

The facility is beautiful and kept super clean, the staff is phenomenal, there are tons of sports and activities for kids and adults.... I really cannot praise this facility enough! However, the language by young teens in the commons and teens and 20's in the men's locker room is absolutely atrocious. Practically every visit (which is twice a week for programs), I have personally had to ask young kids and "adults" in the locker room to please watch their language around my 7 and 9 year old. This is a family establishment. I wish the staff would do more to monitor and intervene, as the extremely foul language is absolutely rampant and seemingly completely accepted by the facility. Call me old fashion, but my kids should not have to hear R rated language when going to swim lessons and art class. Please do more to enforce your values! Because of this, and only this, I have to give a rating of '1', simply to attract attention to the issue. I know there will be many who disagree to my stance completely, but I'm pretty sure they would be able to maintain respectful language in other settings if need be, i.e. library, doctor's office, school (do they even enforce it in school anymore?).. etc. read more

So i just walked in to play basketball with my brother and some lady said I had to be over 18 to play basketball like really what's gonna happen when I'm 13 years old and I'm playing basketball. What good is a Y where I can never exercise? I swim laps, and half the time I show up I have to turn around and go home because of some problem or another. If I could find a health club with lap lanes I'd be gone. People who exercise need to be able to count on a routine. I actually took a week off because it's become so stressful to show up and not be sure you'll be able to swim. Just got home from the 4th night (at least) in the last couple of weeks where I could not work out. It's becoming a joke. They really need to look at putting somebody else in charge of Aquatics, because it is not going well. I've been swimming here 4 years, and now my health is at risk because I cannot regularly work out. You are doing a VERY VERY bad job with your pool facility. read more

This New Facility & Surrounding Grounds are Beautiful, Functional & Outstanding! The Staff is Friendly, Knowledgeable & Courteous! The Indoor/Outdoor pools are well supervised and staffed.The Indoor Track is comfortable and the machines are well kept an up to date. We have meet several Staff Members and re impressed. I'm doing this review of the spin class as a non-member. I signed up for the 45 minute spin classes for the 5 week fall session. I attended the Monday/Wednesday class at 7:30am to 8:15am. Joelle was the teacher. I really enjoyed her classes, she plays great music, and she even sings! The classes were a great workout and very reasonably priced even being a non-member. I bought a punch card, and I will continue attending the spin class! read more

Great cycling class, the instructors are very knowledgeable. Probably one of the best cardio workouts you can get.
