I wish I could give a rating of "0". This place is a joke. When I toured the school in June, I specifically asked Ms. Brenda if there were cameras for parental access during the school day. I was told that she was not sure, and she needed to check with the owner. When I was ready to complete registration in September, I asked her again and received the same answer. When I called on Sept 27 to pay all fees so my daughter could start on Sept 30, I was told that the owner did Not have the cameras set up so that parents could access them yet. So, I paid the fees anyway. My daughter was 2 when she started, but her birthday was literally 4 days after she started and she was placed in the 3 yo class, but I was still charged the rate for a 2 yo which is $20 more. I was told that her teacher would be in by 8:30 A, but every time I dropped my daughter off, she was placed in a room with 8-9 other kids ranging from baby- 3yo. Normally there are at least 2-3 other teachers in that class but never my daughter's actual teacher. But on Oct 9 I dropped my daughter off around 8:45A and only Ms. Brenda was in the room with 8-9 other kids of all ages. I want anyone reading this review to take it as a warning, pay attention to your kids especially if they are not able to express themselves yet. My daughter went to school on Tue Oct 8 and when I gave her a bath that evening her private area was raw, like something was rubbing her in that area. I feel like she may have been targeted because she was new and quiet when she started, never having been to daycare before, but my daughter is very articulate and can carry on a conversation. So, when I asked her what happened to her "nonnie" she told me that a big kid touched her when her pants were in her cubby. So, my intention was to talk to Ms. Brenda the next day, but she was the only teacher attending the kids, so I dropped my daughter off and proceeded to call her around 10A. I made sure to ask if there were any big kids in my daughter's class, which I was told that there is only one bigger kid that comes to the daycare center who is a female and one of the teacher's daughters. I also asked who was assisting my daughter to the potty and why she would have to take her pants off during the school day if she didn't have an accident. I was told that the teacher is the only person who takes her to the potty and at no point were my daughters pants off. Ms. Brenda did "check" with her teacher. But at no point did she offer to pull the cameras from my daughter's class that day even after I suggested SHE needed to pull the cameras. Needless to say, my mother ended up picking my child up from the daycare on Oct 9 around 9:30. When my mother asked my daughter if anyone had touched her while she was at the daycare on Wednesday my daughter replied, "no because I didn't take my pants off". Now I do not have all the facts, and I do not know exactly what happened to my daughter on October 8, but I know that she was mistreated, neglected, and possibly assaulted. My daughter never went back after 10/9 and will not be returning. Just please heed my warning and pay attention to your kids if they are attending this facility because something is NOT right. read more

I left a deposit of $260 with these people meanwhile my son has never attended this school before never stepped foot inside the classroom and their refusing to refund me my money.. Everything about this place was a turn off as soon as I stepped foot inside the facility that's when I changed my mind in brining my son here.. It was my instincts that spoke to me and i followed it. I don't wait for something to happen. Just the look of everything wasn't right. The teachers looked like they just graduated from high school, all the kids were running around not engaging in any activities, one child was sleeping on a cot while all the other children were playing. Mrs, Gibson wasn't the friendly type I felt her energy as soon as I walked inside the door for the tour. The place looks like a rundown unpleasant basement. I asked for my refund but she keeps saying things like "I'll contact the owner I'll make sure she calls you back" Lying to me saying all kinds of things but never called back. I will continue to hunt her down for my money whatever the cost. Don't make any PAYMENTS until you tour the school trust me you'll have a hard time getting it back ! read more

ABC LEARNING ACADEMY 1800 E. Park Place Blvd. Stone Mountain, Ga 30087 My daughter is three about to turn 4 in March. They are suppose to be preparing these children for Pre-K and kindergarten. They email you your child's daily reports which are falsified and they are not personalized for each child. How do I know? On 11/28/2018 they accidently sent me two different reports with minor differences in the times of her nap. They also attach pictures so one report had her in the yellow uniform shirt she wore the day before while the second report showed her in her green shirt she actually wore that day. I also know because they emailed me a report for a day she wasn't in attendance. Last year they had a great loving and caring staff. When my child was getting ready to move on to the next class, I met her teacher, she showed me the curriculum for the year. They were going to learn how to write, spell, do math etc. But within a week or so there was a sudden and complete staff change. They don't notify you either. You just so happen to walk in one day and there are no familiar faces. What happened? No one knows anything. I had to be at work earlier than usual one morning, the daycare is right across the street from the Post Office I work at. It's 6:30 or seven O'clock in the morning she's still sleepy my husband dropped her off and asked the owner was there somewhere she could lay and she immediately said on the floor in the corner. If my husband hadn't gone to her classroom and retrieved her blanket she just would have been laying on the floor. I was livid. They don't teach, you get a lot of art work sent home but no classroom work showing they're being taught. My child has known her colors, shapes, how to count, ABCs and and other things because I was teaching her. But now working 10-12 hours I don't have as much time except for Sundays. I feel like if I'm paying you 182.00 a week my child needs to come home telling me she learned something she didn't already know. I moved her to a better facility a couple days ago and they're already teaching her to write and sending home homework. Even she's happier. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone. read more

I'm really upset about updating my review like this. ABC academy has been my daughter school for twi years now. Her toddler class teachers were amazing and very helpful. However, when she started preschool year things went down the hill. Despite the fact that all the teachers were amazing ,the turn over rate is ridiculous. My three years old had 4 teachers in 6 month. This is ridiculous. Not just the turn over rate but the fact that we weren't notified by the changes. The teachers had to tell us on their final day. By the fourth teacher I was pissed. I withdrew my daughter on the spot and didn't receive an apology from the school. I wouldn't recommend the school because the way they treated the situation was very unprofessional. read more

Regarding the ABC Early Learning Academy 1800 E Park Pl Blvd, Stone Mountain, GA 30087. There was an assault there on the morning of Friday, November 16th that required filing a police report. The staff at ABC lied and said they didn't see it although at least 3 of them witnessed it, yet when the officer asked to validate what happened with camera's pointed directly at the door where the assault happened, ABC informed the police officer their camera's have not been working for some time. So if you have kids there and someone with bad intentions comes there to do harm, it will not be caught on camera...so those kids are not safe IMO. read more

My son started this school back in 2016 when he was 2 and stayed until Summer of 2018. In this time my son thrived and flourished. His teachers helped him establish a great educational base, so much so that he became scholar of the week at his new school. I greatly appreciate all who had a hand in my son's educational success. Ms. Tisha is awesome and the 2 directors are sweet, kind, and compassionate. Your kid will be successful at ABC Early Learning Academy in Stone Mountain. Everything from the staff to the hours of operation are great. You will not be disappointed. read more

I would have to disagree with the other review left by Dana H. My son has been enrolled at ABC Learning Academy now for over a year. I've seen tremendous strides in his developmental progress and demeanor. The staff and teachers at ABC Learning Academy have a deeply caring attitude towards all of their children. They take extra steps to help each child grow and learn. I would recommend this facility to a parent looking for placement for their child. My son loves going to school daily at ABC. read more

My 2 years old has been attending this academy for a few months and I must say it is nothing short of amazing. The staff are so kind and humble. It's clean and has a refreshing scent. My child has improved as a toddler over the last few months. The teachers are definitely great and the environment is awesome! I love the fact that I get emailed a report on how my child's day was as well as a pic/video everyday of her during class. It's affordable and in a great location. Not only are there shopping centers and restaurants around, but also there's a gym in the plaza beside it which is amazing. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone that is need of childcare. read more

I registered my daughter on June 8, 2020. The fee include a deposit as well as a week in advance daycare fee. I paid every week that my daughter attended with no problem. On July 10, 2020. I received a phone call from the daycare facility stating that they would no longer be providing me and my child with their services. With no explanation. I requested time to find a new childcare facility, because I still had to work and was told that was not an option. That the daycare facility choice not to services us was effective immediately. Because my child had only attended for a month. And the reasoning behind her no longer being able to attend was no fault of my own. I requested my deposit back and to speak with the owner, because according to management that choice is left up to the owner. I have sent emails and have done several follow up calls with no answer. I do not recommend this facility. They are extremely unprofessional. And do not follow up with a unhappy customer. I believe that they feel if the customer ignored they will go away. If you're looking for stability and a secure place for your child please keep looking. read more
