No notice until we got to the butterfly house, and truthfully it would have been nice to have been told that when we paid so we could have planned out our day better. They told us ten minutes, but their talk they do at the beginning took half of that so we felt pretty rushed. Other animal exhibits include a couple of owls, a beaver, and some vultures. Indoor exhibits were also limited, but at least it was air conditioned. I would not recommend visiting in summer months. Trail is fairly shady, but still brutally hot already. Overall, the exhibit is great and perfect for kiddos.

They are kind and sweet. I love seeing my son run to his teachers in the morning. The owners, Mr. David and Mrs. Jamie are wonderful as well - they are caring and not transactional. I don't feel like a number or that my son is just a paycheck for them. We are moving to be closer to my office but I wish we could stay.

But if your kids love being challenged and love the outdoors, this is where you want them. My son is going to camp here for the seventh summer in a row and there is no place he would rather be. Our daughter loved being a camper here so much the five summers that she came here that she is spending this summer as a counselor. The kids stay busy doing things like tubing on Carter Lake, rafting, swimming, horseback riding in addition to playing amazing tribal games. But there is also a focus on spending time with God and how important that is for us. The counselors and staff are simply amazing. They are fun and full of energy and love and compassion. I could not recommend this camp more highly. It is truly magnificent.

There is also a nice butterfly garden but since it was winter and cold, we didn't see any today. We did the hiking trail which didn't take too long. There were also walking sticks at the beginning of the trail if you need it for the hike. The hiking trail is not paved though but the walk is not super strenuous. There wasn't too much to see since it was winter time and everything was brown and dead but it was still nice to get fresh air!
