Brandi was so helpful at the front check out counter and even gave me a great tip to have a lovely seafood boil/ oyster lunch at Dee's Hang Out by the bowling alley bc I asked her where the locals go. We had even more adventures at the restaurant she recommended plus we're now prepared for Christmas with eggnog and New Year's with some brand new champagne. "Always B Celebrating" is definitely the acronym for this place because they have ! She showed me where all the difference alcohol brands were and how the wines were even divided by countries. She was such a nice person that I knew I was going to be a repeat customer and she reminded me to sign up for the loyalty pro pro so she's got me for life. The other employees and patrons were also so helpful and went above and beyond to be Santa's secret shoppers and find what I needed for my neighbors, friends and husband which was a candy cane stocking stuffer of 4 mini, variery alcohol bottles for my husband. Surprise! She helped me also make sure she bagged it up and I got it out to the car before he realized what was going on as she showed him where the Prosecco was (I love that!) Ol' St. Nick knows where to bring his sled for Christmas and ABC is definitely the location. The reviews are really high and really low with this place. I have no problems with this business. I live in Louisville, Kentucky so there is nothing like our local Liquor Barn or the chain Total Wine but this store is nice. I will say that this is the absolute best liquor store I have found down in Panama City and I will drive out of my way to this location rather than even try to find another place closer to my hotel. The organization of the wine, spirits and non alcohol items is well thought out and makes sense. The person who designed the layout really put thought into it. I am a bourbon girl and the selection is decent which is impressive outside of Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky. They also sell these pre-made Margaritas in a can that I have never seen before. A good lime squeeze later you are sitting on a lawn chair looking at the beech enjoying your blessings. I came to Panama City Beach for vacation and I stop by this ABC location. The service was amazing and the wine selection was great. I had a lady in the wine section help me pick out some different unique wines and it was just a great conversation. I signed up to be at ABC awards member and save me over $50 on my purchases. Let me preface my review by stating that I have been to this store with my entire family before, about a year prior, and I had no issues. With that being said, I had no issue driving more than 10 miles out of my way to go to this specific store, because of my past positive experience. However, this time I was severely disappointed. I walked in with my son and his friend (I am in my 50s and my son is 18), and was promptly greeted by the man at the cash register. I went about my business shopping for a variety of items, and sent my son to grab a pack of truly lemonades for me, because my hands were already full with two bottles of wine. When we approached the cash register we set all the items we were purchasing on the counter. The cashier immediately asked for my son's ID, and I quickly interjected letting the cashier know that I was purchasing the alcohol, not him, and that he was carrying it for me. He suddenly got irritated and asserted that since my son carried the alcohol, he had to show his ID. I let the cashier know that he was 18 and was not allowed to drink, and again restated that he was carrying it for me because my hands were full. The cashier then began to speak with animosity towards me exclaiming that he shouldn't even be in here, because there was some law or regulation that prohibited anyone under 21 years of age from entering the store. As an out of town resident, I was unaware of this because where I am from your child is allowed in a liquor store as long as they are accompanied by someone of 21 years of age. I never saw a sign saying that, but I can understand if I was in the wrong, because I was unaware of the local laws. However, the cashier was overwhelming insensitive and rude towards me. He told us we all had to leave and that I had to come and re-shop. Even though I was his mother, I guess he thought I was buying alcohol for him, so I guess it is reasonable that he made my son and his friend stand outside, but I had to re shop for all my items. Instead of allowing me to buy the items I had already brought up to the checkout counter, I had to walk around the store and grab all my items again. This was unnecessary, especially considering my son was there specifically to help me carry items since my hands were full. I had to go back and grab everything again trying to balance it and fit it in my hands so the stuff didn't fall out. When I finally made my way back up to the front again after re-shopping for my items, the cashier repeated his line about asking if I have a rewards card, which he already asked me before sending me around the store again to get my items. I then pulled out my ID immediately and held it up, and the cashier met my action with aggression, inquiring whether what I did was necessary. Even though all I did was hold up my ID because they check every time where I am from. The cashier then became rude and aggressive again as he began explaining why I was in the wrong. After a brief and tense confrontation, I left and shopped there for the last time. Ultimately, I can understand if there was a local law or ordinance posted on the door, but I must have missed it walking in. Regardless, my kindness towards the cashier was met with animosity and aggression that was insulting and rude to say the least. I will not be shopping at this store again, and most likely any ABC store because of the rude staff I encountered. I would not recommend this place. I came here a couple of times during a vacation (surprise) to Panama City Beach. Holy crap! Their selection is amazing! I could not believe how big the store is once you get inside... it just goes on and on. Not only that, but they even have cigars! I don't smoke cigars, but I thought the addition of the a humidor room was super cool. Being from Portland, OR I'm used to having a great selection of local brews, and came into ABC not expecting much. I was very impressed with their beer offerings, as they had way more than I expected, and a ton of local brews that were top notch. If I lived near here, this would probably be my go to spot for beers. Prices were super reasonable for a tourist town too! The employees that I interacted with were all super pleasant, and helpful when I had questions. Also the store was impeccably clean, which was a bonus! Very inviting overall. This is a great spot in PCB for all of your liquor/wine/beer needs. They have an excellent selection, and the prices are reasonable. Hi, my name is Tina, I'm 31 years old and just got kicked out of this liquor store. The lady who worked there after knowing for a several minutes of conversation about how I left my ID in my clutch from our Christmas Party the night before - told me that I needed to leave the store. She made it very clear that I was not allowed to look at anything for my husband to purchase (with ID, also 31) and actually told me to leave. I will never again spend my money at any ABC location, might not be a huge loss to their sales - but they don't know how much of a wine snob I am. Horrible customer service. Right from the start the guy had a horrible attitude when asking for limes (which were rotted). After walking through the entire store and making my selections the clerk refused to serve me because of a friend who was in the store with me who didn't have an ID (she is 30 and was not even making the purchase).
