I spoke with Ali and had a great vibe from him. He mention that he can have the ring I wanted shipped and that they have a lower mark up compared to other jewelers. So I decided to schedule an appointment. The person who assisted me was Stephanie. Initially, she was very nice and helpful. But the tone started to change after I told her that I plan to purchase the stone online and was only looking for the setting. She keep insisting that their prices are competitive with online diamonds. Then I told her that there were other places that I'm looking at and I will be narrowing down my decision this weekend. That's when the tone took a nose dive. She gave the sense that I was wasting her time and asked me if she should just send the ring back. I told her that I was still interested and wanted to know their best price since another jeweler carries the same ring. Then she asked me is it all about the money. I'm like WTH? It's not all about the money but if your customer service is lacking you probably want to compensate with competitive pricing. Due to the lack of customer service and being outbid, I went elsewhere. A month after having an old ring repaired and the framework rebuilt at a lovely jewelry store in Maryland, my ring shank broke in two. Since the repairs were very expensive, I was worried about having more work done and more money spent on this ring. Nevertheless, I love the ring and wanted it repaired. The jeweler recommended a slight sizing adjustment, which I was unsure about, but I agreed to take his suggestion because he offered a free re-sizing within 30 days if I was unsatisfied with the size. In Maryland, I waited two weeks for my repair. At ABC Jewelry, my ring was ready the next day. I am happy to say that the jeweler's suggestion on sizing was spot on and the repair was flawless.
