This is a long due review. My daughter and son have been with this school for almost 6 years! (my older daughter went here first and then my son) They both have great times in the school. I still remember my daughter never wanted to go back home whenever I went pick her up, she really loves the teachers and everything inside the school. My son is a very active kid, he could not just sit down during story time. I love it when I saw the teachers arrange one of his older classmates to sit next to him holding his hand gently like they are best friends, and gradually my son behaved so well that I was surprised when I heard back from the teacher. The academic is great in this school, my daughter is a least 1-2 years ahead when she started transitional kindergarten. My son, now in the 4 years old class, can already read simple books all by himself and he loves looking up info from the books, too. He loves sharing with me what he has learned from school, like the solar system, the 7 continents, the community helpers visits (fire engines, police, doctor). I am so amazed how much he has learned! We are so glad we have Ms. Diana managing the whole school, the teachers have a lot of love and caring and patience, especially Ms Lydia, Ms Gogi, Ms Anna, Ms Shar, Ms E, Ms Awtari, Ms Gio. Such a really great place for my daughter to go to. Great, kind, caring and knowledgable staff who really care about the kids. They took Covid protocols very seriously and they had a very strong curriculum of educational fundamentals. Place is clean and organized, with a large enough play area outside. Staff was very easy to communicate with and they kept us updated daily with any necessary information. They held a grand celebration for Pre-School Graduation which was really well done and I was just super impressed. Can't give high enough praise to Ms Diana and Ms Shar and the rest of the staff. ABC has been truly a blessing for me and both of my children. My mildly autistic daughter has been making significant progress and is ready to be in regular school. The school teaches kids not only alphabet, counting, and writing but also how to be a good people. I love ABC and once it's time to find a kindergarten for my Children, I will cry as all the teachers in ABC including the director are wonderful and carrying people. Update. My son graduated from their preschool program. He was devastated to learn that he would no longer attend. He ran and hid Ms. Diana, Elizabeth, Shar and Lidia had to explain to my son that it would be OK as he would attend Kindergarten and make new friends and reassured him that he was going to like it and was welcomed anytime to say hello... ABC Learning Montessori has been amazing for our daughter. She's excited to come to school and has excelled in their learning program. She reads fluently, loves books, music, art and math. The teachers often use songs to help teach their subject matter and she comes home singing them in her spare time. The teachers are all truly terrific as they're very friendly, caring, loving and kind with the kids, giving ample attention to each child. The school itself is clean and well managed. The kids are well behaved and not unruly, as they get to know the daily pattern and there's always a teacher at hand to help them. While there's some focus given to letter recognition, reading and math, (and other core competencies), it's only for short durations before the children move onto art, music, craftwork, educational toys, or outdoor play - so it's a gentle progression for the kids and not boring/overwhelming. Again, I'm amazed at the development of the kids in this system as it works so well. Our daughter is now ready for Kindergarten and I feel she's been very well prepared thanks to the dedicated and loving teachers at ABC Learning Montessori who genuinely care for the kids and give them each the attention they need to succeed. How can I star? My twin girls are currently enrolled in this school and what called my and my husband attention when visiting this school was how clean and neat this school was. Even outside I could see that they took pride in being clean and have all in place. Diana is amazing with my babies and truly care about every kid there and they are all so well behaved. My kids got sick(flu season) and after they returned, Diana was the one keeping an eye on each one of my girls just to make sure(her babies as she call them) was ok....I am good now with the fact that I went back to work after more than 3 years and not longer scared to leave them with somebody and in a school.... Our daughter went to this Montessori and now our son goes here too. When my daughter graduated, her reading skills was of a 2nd grader and she could do basic addition and subtraction. I can't say enough good things about this school, and especially, Miss Diana, who is the owner/director of the school. It's not the biggest, fanciest pre-school you will find. Rather, it's the care and love that Miss Diana has for the children that make the difference. You will not find a more dedicated, caring and loving teacher of pre-schoolers than Miss Diana. She never takes time off, she is tough (in a good way), and she commands respect of the other teachers and the children. Our daughter just finished 3 years at ABC. She is about to start kindergarten. She is extremely well prepared. A great mix of social, academic and general knowledge skills are encouraged and taught. Kindergarten assessment indicated our daughter is well above average in speaking, reading, writing and math. I would agree with other reviewers that there is an emphasis on academics. She has made great friends and has grown in confidence. She loves going to ABC, meeting and playing with her friends, and interacting and learning from her teachers. In the end, what more could you ask for than that?! One final thought: we were very pleased with the focus on cleanliness and general hygiene. In 3 years of attending school full time, our daughter suffered only a couple of flus and maybe 5-7 colds. Miss Diana urges everyone to wash their hands, keep kids at home if they are sick. While we are very excited about kindergarten, we are all very sad to be leaving ABC. I have two boys, and both my kids went to ABC Learning Montessori from 2yr old till 4 yr old class. So we have been with ABC for about 5 years. I cant say enough of this school, the teachers, the care, the respect that they teach the kids and the education. This school has everything. The school has been around for quite a long time, and it is so popular that there would already be a wait list of siblings coming along. Teachers are very experienced and caring. Starting from english alphabets to writing and reading 4 letter words, science, maths (numbers, simple additions subtractions ), the kids who pass out from ABC Learning Montessori have definitely got it all, the education, the essential skills needed when they go to kindergarten. They are open year round, except for national holidays and december/thanksgiving break. That helps when both the parents are working. During the summer, they have extra curricular activities like water week, science experiments week, cooking week. Kids have so much fun , and they always loved to go to school. I could not ask for a better learning environment for my daughter! Mrs. Diana is an amazing teacher and mentor to the kids. The place is small and comfortable for the kids and the teacher/student ratio is perfect. I visited many preschools before this one! Probably 10 or more! Too many of them were over-run with kids and the teachers were no where to be found, or I heard disaster stories about. Once I came to ABC, i knew it was the perfect match for our family. My daughter made friends quickly and immediately was attached to the teachers. She started when she was two, when she was 3 we relocated, but returned to San Jose when she was 4 and returned to ABC as well. She re-united with her friends and the same teachers were still there to greet her. When my daughter started at ABC, she could barely recognize letters & numbers. Now my daughter is in Kindergarten and was more than ready for the work. ABC Learning Montessori prepared her and she was reading before she started Kindergarten! She is now in the excelled studies program for Kindergarteners as well as the Early Readers Class and I owe all the credit to ABC and Mrs. Diana for making sure she would succeed as a bright student. I have too many good things to say about this school ! Excellent balance of academic curriculum along with the fun elements included in them. My son loved going to school and improved his reading and writing skills. The activities had a structured approach and this place is not run like an ordinary daycare is. The teachers (Miss Diana, Miss Helen, Miss Kiki, Miss April , Miss Anna......) are all well trained and very caring. Both our children attended ABC Montessori. We tried several different preschools before finding Ms. Diana's school and we are so happy we did. The teachers have found the right balance of fun, discipline and learning and the children all come out of ABC ready for elementary school. My older child was extremely well-prepared for kindergarten, both academically and socially and my younger will be starting this August and has absolutely no apprehension. Ms. Diana maintains a wonderful staff and they are perfectly suited for the age groups they teach. If your reading this I commend you for doing your do diligence on researching pre-schools, even with todays unprecedented access to information finding a suitable pre-school for (if your like me) a child that is currently your whole world is a difficult task. I was one of those over-the -top parents that wanted to observe the school not for the usual day or two but a couple of weeks, I did not however because I think its a little much for teachers to be constantly observed by overly involved parents but I did stay for a few days :). We sought out ABC after my son at 2 years of age informed me he didn't like the expensive Los Gatos pre-school we originally enrolled him in, after a few short months I sensed he wasn't happy there and I actually observed that school from a 2 way window in a closet they had (yes I really did I know I know a bit over the top). What I observed at that school was a place too academic for a 2 year old at least for my demographic. We were recommended to ABC by member of our church and I'm soo glad we listened. ABC is not the Biggest or Fanciest pre-school around but they are the best at what maters. Go with an open mind and trust these reviews Miss Diana is the Director/Owner of the school and she has a good educators head on her shoulders. She runs the school i mean she RUNS the school. She's a tough micro manager that wants things done her way! Normally we think that's a bad thing but not in this case. My son who's on his last few weeks here has been going to ABC for @ 2 1/2 years now and I have gotten to know the school and Ms. Diana very well. She loves children, every last one of them, I know they all say it but when it comes to my son I'm neurotic and I watch his surroundings closely and I absolutely approve this school. This is unfair to the school and parents because they will not be able to find out about this great school!!! ** This review is for their new location in Morgan Hill. I am one of their "permanent parents". What I meant by it is my older son went to ABC Montessori in San Jose for 3 years and did so well in his academic and social skills. Fast forward to about 2 months ago, I enrolled my baby boy when he was 26 months old. I knew he would be well taken care of here, I didn't even check out any other schools. I have complete trust in Miss Diana and her teachers. The two teachers at the Morgan Hill location are exceptional. Never once my son was left crying alone with no one to comfort him. Within 2-3 weeks, he could be dropped off with no tears. I really like their calming approach- they respect his feelings and allow him to learn to trust them without being overwhelming. When he started, he knew his alphabet, shapes, color, and counting from 1-10. Now he is speaking in full sentences and can count to 25. The kids who go there are kind and friendly to one another. It is comforting to know my son is in good hands and is learning so much while I'm at work. I can't recommend this school fast enough. ABC Montessori on Kimberly Drive, San Jose is a fantastic school. The teachers are very loving, kind and attentive to the kids and they are extremely skilled in their teaching skills and approach of life lessons to the kids. My child went there from age 3.5 to 5 years age prior to Kinder and she has learnt so much, flourished in her independence and confidence and has made great friends. They teach kids manners, independence, own your things, be responsible to take everything home each day etc..on the learning front the level our child reads and writes at a grade1 level, tell time, months, planets, numbers, count in tens, sing songs and read a lot. I worry that kinder may be too boring because kids are now over qualified. In the evenings, children sit in circle time and each day a new book is being read by a teacher and I would see so many kids refusing to leave the school when parents came for pick up as they want to finish the book. The kids arrive with a smile each morning & leave with a smile, the teachers Ms Jessica, Ms April, Ms Char and many more whose names I forget are phenomenal. Ms Diana runs this school with love, attention to detail & focus on the kids and their nurturing & TLC. I cannot thank this place enough & am so glad to have had my child learn, play & grow here- it really is one of a kind!! read more

I have three boys that have all gone to preschool at ABC Montessori. I sent my first son to three other preschools and toured many more before I found ABC Montessori. I was looking for a preschool that was structured, loving, and clean, along with age appropriate academics as well. ABC Montessori is all of these and I couldn't be happier. Ms. Diana and her staff care so much for each child. It is clear that the teachers understand how to make learning fun in a structured environment. They are always happy and positive and I feel my boys are being nurtured and given the perfect amount of responsibility for their age. I never had any problem with taking my boys to school, there were always more than willing to go. At ABC Montessori they enjoyed Tuff Tumblers on Fridays, making new friends, all of the teachers and learning how to read. The location is great, parking is easy and security is tight. Like many parents do, I visited many pre schools in the South Bay seeking a good school for my older son and when I saw ABC learning Montessori, I was very happy to find the perfect school and it was. My older son loved it and the staff was very kind and friendly to him. He also had some speech problems, as he was not saying many words when he turned 2 years old. The staff took it seriously and with their help he started not to say more words, but to sing many songs :) Then I enrolled my younger son at the school too and he also was not saying many vocabulary words, but by the time he graduated, he was reading, writing, singing and ready for first grade program not even kindergarten. This is the best school for your children in the South Bay. The teachers are very friendly and they are all nice and loving. They also pay attention that your children eat their lunch unlike other schools which they don't care if the children eat their lunches or not. The school is in a great location and it's always clean.
