I told her that all I really needed was to make change. She said "we don't have that" rather dismissively. I was floored. I looked around at this massive store, the cash register's, the staff the millions worth of inventory and I said "really, with all this? And she said " really, with all this". I left the store with no change. The bus didn't make change. The driver let me on for free. There is a total wine in the town where I live, but I don't think I'll be going back there.

One of the young women working there noticed that I was having trouble and she and another woman working there caught me as I fell, preventing me from hitting my head. When I came to, they were cushioning my head, the security guard had called the EMTs and they had some cold water ready in case I needed it. They were very professional and kind. I am mostly recovered now and I am sure that their attention kept me from injuring myself. I will be forever grateful to them.

However, they're also wonderful because they put on a wine tasting featuring several regions of wine makers in France and not only was it informative, it was fun! I initially thought this was just going to be another wine shop with a bunch that I could mostly live without. I was pleasantly surprised. The average price of the bottles here are $12! What!? But, is it good?? Not bad actually! I was pleasantly surprised. To be fair a wine store called "Winestore." is not very creative, but hey, if you're saving tons on wine, do you really need some kitchy creative name? Not this girl! Give me a $9 Dolcetto, $12 Willamette Pinot or $10 Sparkling Rose from Chile! Now, I haven't LOVED every bottle, but heck the price point is fantastic and they're quaffable. There are a few bottles that are more expensive, like $20, but I haven't splurged on those bottles yet. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you don't know a lot about wine, fear not, they have information about the wine with descriptions, tasting notes and food pairings. If you're still not sure, the staff have their recommendations and can steer you in the right direction if you're looking for something specific or open to exploring. This place is awesome and I wish they would come out west! If you're lucky enough to have a Wineshop. near you, make sure to mosey on in and find your next bottle of wine.
