I asked her about a glass of wine a customer just ordered and she provided me a sample. I ordered a glass and sat at the bar for about 30 minutes and enjoyed the glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. The atmosphere is super family friendly, there were several families in there at the time. It's a shop, so there are plenty of people in and out buying beer and wine. There's a bar with plenty of seating and TVs. There are a couple of booths as well. There are benches outside and a couple of heat lamps. They several events from wine tastings, wine and beer classes to fundraisers.

He checked his app and saw that while they do have the Oxford Oaks, vodka, rum and gin, they don't have the flavored ones. Bummer. I guess I will have to drive up to Oxford after all. Calzones, Strombolis, Hot Sandwiches, Cold Sandwiches, Appetizers, Salads and Deserts are all on the menu. If it's Italian, this Rolesville trattoria probably serves it. The one negative is that there is no inside seating. We were fortunate that the weather was beautiful on our first visit, and we were able to enjoy a bright sunny day at one of their outdoor tables. Otherwise this is one of the best take-out Pizzerias in the area. We enjoyed an 18" Pepperoni Pizzaand 10" Individual Pizza with Onions and Bell Peppers. Both were delicious - with just the right amount of savory Tomato Sauce and melty Mozzarella Cheese. Another favorite was the Penne Arrabiata Pasta with Black Olives and a Spicy Tomato Sauce. The Penne was cooked perfectly, the sauce tantalizing and the portion more than enough for two meals. My favorites are the Italian subs. Pie-Zano's sub rolls are everything a perfect roll should be: slightly sweet, slightly crispy on the outside, enough texture to provide a satisfying crunch when you bite into it and king-size. Any filling would taste great when stuffed inside one of these beauties. The Special Sub is crammed full of Ham, Salami, Provolone, Cappicola, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Banana Peppers and seasoned just right with classic Italian flavors, Olive Oil and Vinegar. A complete meal on a roll. The only item that we did not particularly enjoy was the Baked Spaghetti with Ricotta and Mozzarella. We found it to be rather bland, but were able to bring it to life with some oregano, basil, red pepper flakes and a drizzle of olive oil. This would be a perfect dish for the kiddies - and enough to feed two or three of them.

Not sure what to expect, we decided to finally check it out on this Friday. Am happy to report that we really liked the place! There's a bar, but other tables and chairs. So while it's fairly small, there is room to land after you've scored a glass of wine or a brew. I chose a very potent stout (over 13%),while Husband did a Brueprint brown ale. In addition they have shelves of beer and wine that I enjoyed perusing, especially because the selections are not common ones. When I mentioned to Annette that I didn't recognize any of the chardonnays, she said "good", because the goal is to supply ones you can't find elsewhere. So I picked one that sounded good and am happy to report that after trying it out I do indeed love it. Annette also pointed out that they do tastings, have food trucks, etc (including this Saturday). They also have snacks such as chips, candy and jerky. There is a pool table and small kitchen inside. The place was a luncheonette at some point. I hike and mountain bike in nearby Forest Ridge Park and it has become my go to place for a post hike / bike adult libation. They also sell some locally made products such as honey and BBQ products.

We were pleasantly surprised to see 10 different beers on tap. The options were a perfect mix of summer beers- IPAs, lagers, wheat ales, etc. We sat at the bar and ended up chatting with the owner. He was so friendly and gave us great recommendations on beers and places to visit. The bar & shop areas were very clean, organized, and air conditioned. We could have stayed at the bar all afternoon if we didn't have other errands to run! After our drafts, we walked around the shop to get some beer and wine to go. Just a suggestion, as big as you are, increase your order size dramatically so that all of your customers can enjoy the products that the collectors scoop up before anyone else gets a chance to try them.
