I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of our movers from Abe Lincoln Movers. My boyfriend had a three story house he was moving out of, and the two movers (can't remember their names!) did an exceptional job moving all the furniture and boxes out quickly and carefully. I had used Abe Lincoln Movers several times. This last move was disappointing regarding the conditioan of some of my furniture. The leather sofa, ottoman and chair had scrapes where the died leather had been scratched off. When I spoke with the owner I received no response on rectifing this situation. I even asked for a referral that I could call with not response. I would not recommend this company as they do not follow through after you have paid for the move. read more

The worst! Property stolen and damaged! Avoid! We hired Abe Lincoln Movers (Ron Ferguson owner) to move our property form a different storage unit for long term storage of our 3,500 sq/ft home while we lived abroad. They told us they used "PODS" for long-term storage, That was a lie as we learned they actually stored our property in an open aired warehouse with only sheets of loose plywood separating our property! Ron employees a revolving door of workers without inventory controls or oversight. We had in excess of $10,000 of property stolen; with just as much damaged or rendered unusable. Ron Ferguson is also a stand-up comedian (true story) and splits his time between Denver and LA. Due to his focus on his comedy career, he leaves the operation of his moving business to unsupervised workers with the expected result. Multiple attempts to resolve this mater with him via compromise (we paid him over $20,000 over the course of 30 months of storage and two moves) have gone unanswered. The State Regulatory Agency has been notified with additional complaints being filed. This entire adversarial process was avoidable but for Ron's "head in the sand" approach to handing our request for compromise. If there was a Zero star rating, he's earned it. Choose someone else for your moving and storage needs is my strong recommendation. read more

I had Abe Lincoln Movers do a two-fold move for me. First for most of my belongings and the second for the staging furniture and more stuff. Renea and Ron were great at scheduling with little notice. Movers showed up at the earliest time in the window which was great! Super strong guys who knew what they were doing to move items quickly and efficiently. They were done in two hours each time. It was a second floor moving to a first floor/garage. Diego and Lewis did the initial move and did a great job! I thought I lost a box of photo albums, but was my mistake in labeling the box properly, so I had it. Second move was just as smooth with Jesse and Sterling! May even say smoother because they had to move my very heavy sofa and chair, adjusted the loose footing and patiently moved my area rug to my liking three times! Also moved art work/fragile items with care. I would highly recommend this moving company. Talk about a friendly, customer service work ethic that's hard to come by lately, these guys are worth every penny! read more

We had a great experience. Jamar and Xavier worked their tails off and even moved a piano for us. They had super agreeable attitudes and provided clear communication on where things would end up through the entire process. They worked hard to stay within the quoted timeframe and actually beat the time by 20 minutes. Coupled with our groupon, the cost of the entire move was entirely reasonable. I don't usually write reviews and I don't read them because there is always good and bad ones. But I feel the need to tell the truth so people can make an informed decision. I have moved 11 times in my life and this by far was the worst! We were told it would take approximately 5 hours and it turned out to be 10. Two items were destroyed in the move and Ron has not responded to my email. I watched the men carrying out and in (up and down stairs) very heavy pieces of furniture. ALWAYS it was only one man carrying it by himself and most of the items without securing them to the dolly. It was just a matter of time before something fell off. We were left with items not being able to fit on the truck and we had to make 4 trips with our car to bring everything to our new house. It is a 45 minute drive one way, in good traffic, so that took us a total of 4 hours. We clearly marked if an item was to go upstairs, downstairs, or garage. I'm still carrying things upstairs that they took down when they shouldn't have. Terrible, terrible experience! I wish I had gone with a more expensive mover. It probably would have been cheaper in the long run. read more

I used this company when I moved to Denver a year ago and had them unload the moving trucks. There were a couple of small hiccups at the end, however the movers were nice and friendly. The hiccups were resolved by the owner after a week or two. So, when I was moving locally now I thought it would be great to use them as, overall I was satisfied. Apparently a year makes all the difference. I called to schedule my appointment and was able to get a day booked. While I don't recall the name of the person I spoke with, what I was quoted for 50/hr for 2 movers and 120 for the truck with a 2 hour minimum. During the conversation I confirmed that if we went the two hours, we are looking at a total of 220 for the move and the person on the phone agreed. This was just under another bid, and since I had a good experience before I booked the move with them for today, 7/27. They called yesterday to confirm the appointment and addresses. They did have the move to address incorrect even though it was verified several times on the initial call. They corrected it and we were set for a 9am appointment, however they did say they give a 1 hr window, so no later than 10am. The 2 drivers did come on time, at 9am. They started loading some items on the truck and shortly after they went over the paperwork. What they showed me had 100/hr, 2 hr minimum and 100 truck fee. Numbers were totally different than what I was told. I questioned it with the guy and he went out to call the office. I was then asked to call and I verified the number to call back with the one that had called to confirm the appointment. When speaking with Raul, he said they would have never given a total for the move. I explained I had not asked for a total for the price but only confirming that the cost would be 220 with the 2 hr minimum and the rate for truck of 120 and 50/hr for the move. The person did tell me that was the price. Again Raul mentioned they would not say that. I said sounds like he said I was lying, he said one of us would have to be because they don't quote totals. I did say that he must be, as I know what I was told. He stopped the time while he called the owners, the only other people that would quote the price. He called me back a few minutes after and told me he talked to both owners and they don't remember anything with my name and didn't have any notes beyond what Raul had. I said that he was prepared to tell me to my face that I was a liar. After a few choice words, which I admit I probably shouldn't say, he said his guys would be unloading my items and not doing my move. I told him that was fine. I would never recommend their company to anyone wanting to move in the area, and would ensure to mention their company by name. I had asked him for his owners phone number and he hung up the phone. I tried calling the number back and it went to Raul's voicemail. I tried another number for the company and it also went to voicemail. His 2 guys did unload the items and put them back sort of where they were. Earlier the guys said I got sent the old guy and grumpy guy--referring to themselves. When the guys left, I apologized for them having to move things again, however I know what someone told me. About 20 minutes later,l I received a call from Ron, the owner, who wanted to see what happened. I explained the situation as above to home. He said again they wouldn't make any money on those rates and must have been a miscommunication. He also mentioned that it wasn't a civil thing to do to be calling people a liar and his team would not do that. I explained to him that Raul said after he called me back that he was prepared to call me a lair. He apologized and said he was not told that by his team. I also told Ron that I work in the hospitality industry and come across people moving to the area often. I will never recommend their company. I also advised him that I would be posting this review. As our called wrapped up, I did thank him for calling and let him for calling. While he wasn't able to do anything, it shows he cares. I informed him that my opinion of his company from a year ago has considerably changed for the worse unfortunately. I was able to call the other company and schedule a move for the same day as well, just later this afternoon. I know this review is long, however I rarely write a negative comment but needed to share my frustrations regarding my interactions with Abe Lincoln movers in Denver, CO. read more

I was hesistant on hiring movers. They didnt nickel and dime us like i was worried. Im horrible with names but tyler and the other mover were awesome. Hard workers and took care of my stuff. I saw a Groupon for Abe Lincoln movers and read the reviews about the company and decided to hire them. I did not have the same experience as the rest. They called and requested to come in at 1pm but didn't show up till 230. They also convinced us that paying for an extra person would make the move faster and that DID NOT happen. Super disappointed with my experience after I thought I had throughly vetted moving companies. The day started off terribly when they showed up a full hour late (and I had Comcast coming later that day, wasn't really flexible on time). I called them to see where they were and the receptionist informed me they had forgotten the wardrobe boxes I had requested and confirmed with them multiple times and had to go back to get them from the warehouse. They were hardworking guys (minus the one telling me repeatedly no one wanted to take my case since I was on the 4th floor, that I was lucky I had him -- umm there's an elevator dude, this is your job, get over yourself), but 30 minutes into the move, the truck died before it even got into the loading dock. Mind you, they're blocking at least 3 of my neighbors cars who are throughly pissed off already and then one of the moving guys starts swearing at them (like it's their fault) / on the phone / stomping around and being about as unprofessional as you can possibly be. And somehow, they think it's ok to charge me for the time they're screwing around trying to get the truck to start and waiting for another truck to show up to jump it (the owner was fully aware the truck they sent had been acting up all week and seemed to have no problem with this). My cost ended up being almost double my estimate (how does a 1-br move 1.5 miles take 5 hours??) and I am still missing a shelf from one of my media consoles. Still waiting on that call back for Ron to make it right after giving them multiple opportunities to fix it....great customer service guys. Really. read more

I recently moved from Denver to Thornton and it was a big move! I had never had a moving experience worth talking about until this one. Ron and his team did an excellent job, taking great care with my movie screen and antique guns. I had a lot anxiety about movers as you hear so many bad stories of things breaking or being charged additional fees at the end. Abe Lincoln movers has moved me a total of 3 times and every experience has been GREAT. The last time that i moved they had to transfer my things from a 3rd floor two bedroom apartment into the living room of a friends house. I had a 2 week gap before i could move into the townhome that i had purchased. They did so without any issues and were kind about having to stack items in the living room of my friend while still leaving a path for us to walk through. Two weeks later the movers were back and packed everything back into their moving truck. When we arrived to the townhome they were helpful and moved all heavy furniture and items into the rooms where they belonged inlcuding my refridgerator and washer and dryer set. The movers are always kind and have a great sense of humor! Comparitively the price is the most competitive and fair in town. This company has also moved friends of mine with rave reviews. I would highly reccommend this company to anyone in the Denver metro area! read more

We used Abe Lincoln movers to unload our shipping container when we moved to Golden. Can't say enough good about these guys. They showed up on short notice, worked hard, carried all of our stuff up to the third floor and did so efficiently. They were professionals and didn't stop for the entire time they were here. I wish we could have used them to load our stuff in the first place. They were fast, efficient and even swept out our shipping container once it was empty. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I've used a company called Team Hernandez Movers for several years. Unfortunately Team Hernandez sold to Abe Lincoln movers. I called to schedule my move several weeks in advance (5 weeks) I discussed dates, times, and cost with two different individuals. A week prior to the move, I called to make sure we were still on schedule. The person I talked too had no idea what I was talking about. This should have been my first clue to run in the other direction, but a week prior to moving I was afraid I would have a problem locating a mover. We were able to get everything worked out and back on the schedule. Then, the cost increased and I now had to pay for the truck as well. Something never mentioned prior. It was explained to Ron that this was an office move, everything was boxed up, but desks would need to be disassembled and reassembled. I asked if his movers were able to do this and if they would have the appropriate tools. He assured me they would. The day of the move, two men showed up (late of course).The movers showed up with a screw driver. I had to send my assistance home to retrieve 2 power drills. Even after we returned with the drills, they still kept using screw drivers. I had to load my personal truck with desk chairs because they had no clue how to load a moving truck. We were a small office. Every piece of furniture was damaged. Desks were just over a year old. I visually watched one of the men crack a piece of molding off of a bookcase, then turn around and tell me he didn't do it. They damaged walls going down a stair well. Damages a wall in the new office. The men moving would unload small light items one at a time. Walk as fast as my 85 year old grandmother. They were milking this move. This move should have taken 2 hours tops! In prior years using the other company, the move was less then 2 hours. Distance of move was less then 2 miles. This move took 5 hours!!! When I pointed out all damages to the furniture, the guy said he would report it, and the owners would come out to inspect. I was so frustrated that I just wanted the guys to get out! As I finished unpacking boxes and putting things away, I found several screws and plates to hold the desks together just shoved in drawers. Good thing I found this before setting up everything on my desk and creating more damage. My husband has to come by after his day at work and reassemble the desks correctly. He found many stripped out screws. I was so mad at these people. Needless to say more damage was found on items. I took pictures to show the owners when they would come by to check out damages. No owner ever called, no one ever came out to look at things. No one cared, they had their money. Just a horrible horrible company I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Mike and Arnold loaded a truck for us for our upcoming move. They had some movers load at our storage until and Mike and Arnold loaded items from our house. The storage unit movers did a mediocre job leaving lots of open space in the truck. Mike reorganized the truck to fit the things from our house while Arnold consolidated the items from our house. They did this in UNDER 2 hours. They were efficient, professional, and courteous. I can't say anything about the other movers, but I would highly recommend these two. As a company, there was a large miscommunication from the company to the movers regarding the services we needed. This is my only complaint. read more

Not a good experience. Movers dropped a fridge resulting in a hole in the wall and a gouged floor. Accidents happen and I could forgive that. However, we had another incident in the same move when they tried to take the legs off the piano to move it and could not get one of them back on. We were promised by Ron (owner) that he would make it right. We are still waiting. He has since changed his direction and refuses to do the right thing. After I told him that I would be reporting his practices to the BBB, he said to go ahead, as he was going out of business. I do not recommend using Abe Lincoln Movers. read more

I wish i would have read these reviews prior to booking them. I would never recommend these movers. Set up my move for 1:00 on Saturday and was told that I would get a reminder call the day before. Never got the call, so I called around 11 to verify and was told that the movers were running late. Ok, no problem. Never heard anything by 2, placed several calls, got voice mail and talk to Ron a few times who told me he would check with the drivers and call me right back. He never called me back, I had to keep calling him. Finally at 4:15 he said they were 15 minutes away, and 45 minutes later they finally showed up. So a 1:00 job, they showed up at 5:00. They moved me from a storage unit to a house. I discovered the next day a mirror was missing. Called Ron to tell him at 8:00am on Monday morning. He said he would check with the drivers and call me right back.....of course, hear nothing all day. Finally at 5:15 I call him and he tells me it wasn't in the truck. So magically my mirror disappeared. He was not apologetic and could care less. NEVER USE ABE LINCOLN MOVERS!!!! read more

If I could choose negative stars I would. Worst moving experience I have ever had in my life. We had to move our move date due to closing on our home. When I called the guy who I won't mention by name said that wouldn't be a problem. I was called the night prior to our original scheduled time and again confirmed that we wouldn't be moving until just the next day after. Movers showed up on the original date. The day we moved we were told that they would be there between 12-1 they showed up early which wouldn't have been a problem if we were told it could be earlier. We were going to purchase through Group-on but didn't feel that we needed 4 hours to move 800sf of stuff and didn't want to eat anyone's time up so just passed "the deal up". It took them 3 hours just to load and all they had to do was load no packing just saran wrap two dressers and a fireplace. We paid for two movers and a truck and got a truck and one mover. The mover who is pictured with his back above upon arrival said "he better get a good tip for this move". He refused to help his partner and complained about doing his job the entire time. When he had to help his partner would ask where we wanted things and then he complained about putting them there. He wanted our kitchen table in our living room because he was so lazy. He threw numerous items off the truck when we arrived at our new home and even hit my husband in the head with a ball. My husband kids and brother ended up helping the one mover unload the truck which ended up being slightly less than an hour. Ridiculous! On top of that I called the number to schedule which was responsive when getting our business but totally unresponsive when had issues and was told during the move I'd get a call back and never did. I asked for someone else to be sent out for the job because we didn't want anything else broken and was told no they had no one and would call back -no call. On one of the calls placed the guy answering wasn't paying attention and even mentioned he would has considered quitting and working at BK instead of dealing with this...They played the whole bait and hook scheme. We paid to have several items broken/damaged and move things ourselves. It was a rip off at 505.00. The fact that they use a "honest hard working" person's name for business is false advertisement and slander to such a name. I wouldn't recommended this shade business to anyone. Save yourself money replacing broken items and paying for next to nothing by just driving down to your local labor max to get someone who cares more than these people. read more
