I am a long time automotive professional. I am extremely picky about my cars and I'm overly…read moreprotective of my family and their vehicles. I'm writing this review due to a specific encounter I had with Jared and Ohana at the Millbrae location. My uncle had purchased 4 wheels and tires From them a few months ago. Shortly after that he got a nail in his tire and had it dealt with elsewhere. Somehow one of the required hub centering rings got misplaced and he started having highway vibrations. He ended up going to another shop to deal with the vibrations they charged him a small fortune to rotate , balance and align the vehicle. During all of the "work" this other shop did. They removed the other 3 centering rings and never bothered to install them. Instead they half ass centered the wheels and over torqued the crap out of all the lug nuts to compensate for their stupidity. My uncle is a very kind and patient man and after paying to "fix" his vibration and having it vibrate and shake even worse afterwards. Instead of going back to raise a fuss. He asked me to inspect the vehicle. I immediately found 4 missing center rings and one wheel destroyed by being forced on crooked due to missing centering rings. At this point I was livid. I called the "shop" that took his money , lost his rings and ruined a wheel. They asked me to hold for 23 minutes then told me. "The tech is pretty sure he installed the rings. But he's not sure they'll still be there ...." Ok that's the stupidest thing I've ever really heard. Realizing that they were a dead end. I instead called America's Tire and got Jared. Jared listened to me kind of frustratedly explain that I needed a new wheel and 4 rings. He was kind , knowledgeable and efficient. He put me on hold for like 3 minutes confirmed he had the rings and a new wheel and he facilitated my being able to pick em up on my lunch break. On my lunch break I met Ohana who was also kind , knowledgeable and professional. She helped me get my parts and skidaddle in a very efficient way. Given that the so called "shop" that caused all the mess is the Firestone across the street from them. I'll say this. America's Tire is leaps and bounds better and more human and knowledgeable than the folks across the street. They took the time to help me fix the issue and they actually cared. I've admonished my uncle to steer clear of Firestone and to only go to Americas tire as a result of these two distinctly different interactions. Jared. Ohana. Thanks for keeping it real and thanks for helping me take care of my family. Good on you !!

I went back around 3:30 to see where things were at and to wait around for my car since I didn't have anything better to do. They had a line of 28 people waiting for their cars to be worked on. They were telling everybody, all 28 of those cars, that they would be done by 6 PM. There was a guy who came in to check on the car that he left yesterday, they told him his car would also be done by 6 PM. I believed them 0% that my car was gonna get touched this evening and I drove away after wasting nearly 5 hours, at 4:45, with a screw still in my tire. editing this at 6:40 the same day, they called because they were finally ready to begin service on my car. lmfao!

I have gone to Hanlon's multiple times now. I bought tires and had oil changes and tire rotations…read moreon three different cars. The last few times simple oil changes have turned into $500 services. I don't know much about cars and I do think they probably do OK work, but I feel like I'm being up sold repeatedly and taken advantage of. I won't be going back. The oil changes change price depending on who's at the counter. I bought my tires there so the tire rotation should be free but then all of a sudden my oil change is 40 more dollars than the last time. They had trouble getting a screw off the oil pan for my jeep and that turned into over $400 by itself. I'm sorry I cannot recommend them.

First off, let me emphasize that I was super excited and was recommended Hanlon's service. I…read morebrought in 4 new wheels to install on my existing tires. I was happy with the fast service and excited about my new wheels. To my fault, I took a back angle photo of the back right tire then left. Fast forward a week and not using my truck, I washed it. When I got to my wheels, I used a sponge and car soap. I see a black oily substance and scratches on the center area of one wheel. I inspected the last 3 and find all the same marks. I called Hanlon's and they told me to send photos. I did and had to call back over 30 minutes later to get a response. I was told by Rob, "the manager", that he would get back to me on the following Monday. Of course, he didn't and I had to call back. He told me he would get back to me the next day. Tuesday, 3 days after the initial call, I am given the "he's on lunch" excuse for the second time. I called again and I'm out on hold for 13 minutes and 22 seconds. Rob proceeds to say it wasn't their fault according to an online service "specialist". I then told him I'm coming in. As I drive in, I felt the hostility of 3 of his workers surrounding my truck, probably trying to justify their work was good and it wasn't them. Rob used a flashlight and inspected a couple of the wheels and proceeded to deny it. He showed me a paper of an email of someone else's wheel that was scratched and said "see, this is how our machine would've scratched them". If you're the only shop to touch my BRAND NEW $2000 WHEELS, and there's scratches on all 4 wheels in consistent locations, how can you deny my claim? Three out of 4 boxes were sealed. Long story and you've probably moved on from my review already, but think twice before going to Hanlon's. Rob has my number and he has the opportunity to correct his mistake. However he sees fit on a settlement, I'm all ears. He mentioned "refurbish" on the phone and I'm not refurbishing my brand new wheels. I support small business and local shops, but he just made me want to go commercial from now on. See you soon, America's Tire. Below are photos of 4 separate wheels with CONSISTENT markings. There was a black oily substance on them but I cleaned it off when I washed the truck. He also blamed the car wash for it
