Drove into an open spot, looked for a rep, and all team members were friendly and willing to help. Informed a rep of my situation, we walked to my vehicle, showed him my tire issue, he jacked up my car, removed the tire, showed me the nail, and he said "no problem, I'll remove the nail, patch it, and you should be good." I didn't see any of his old crew also making the move as I used to be a regular at his old shop. He told me most went to other shops or have retired. It was nice to see Simon at least. It took an hour to do the oil change. He called me mid job that my engine and cabin air filters needed replacing. $90 (2 filters $55 and labor $35.) I said yes as I was too lazy to do it myself. It would have have taken too much effort to buy the filters myself and install it. ($22 for the engine and $10 for the cabin filter Amazon prices.) There was a slight mishap as they charged me for a synthetic oil change whereas I only got a regular oil change. The billing mechanic (not Simon) messed up. I caught it on the receipt and they had to refund me $26. Otherwise good job everyone at Sunset 76 Auto Repair. Be sure to check your receipt.

Called around and was getting prices of $200 to $340. Called Larkins and was told fixing a flat was $40...a bit more if they need to clean things. I drove over and within 30 minutes had a fixed tire. And highly detailed and professional work! $10 for the cleaning, so $50 out the door! The tire had uneven wear, so need to go back for rotation and alignment...will be back at Larkins tomorrow for that!

There was a little confusion today because I was quoted a lower price than turned out to be the actual price, but Rick gave me a discount off the actual price in an effort to make it right. I very much appreciate the time that Marv spent with me on the phone a few days ago, discussing the merits of different brands/models/prices of tires before I made my decision. With this set of tires, they actually went to the trouble of applying tire dressing so they look flashy!
