The owners were friendly when we arrived, and we were looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately, our experience changed after we checked in. We were assigned a site in the seasonal section of the campground. While some seasonal campers were friendly at first, the atmosphere quickly felt cliquish, and we never felt truly welcome as short-term guests. The owner frequently drove or walked through the campground checking campsites while openly carrying a firearm. While that may be his personal choice, it made us feel uncomfortable. We also received complaints from neighboring seasonal campers over what we felt were very minor issues, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy our vacation. One of the campground's biggest attractions, the river, wasn't usable during our stay because the water level was too low. The pool was clean but fairly basic. Overall, the campground has a beautiful location and plenty of potential, but the atmosphere overshadowed those positives. We left with the impression that transient campers are not made to feel as welcome but the same feeling for new seasonal campers. Based on our experience, we would not return or recommend this campground to others looking for a relaxing and welcoming camping experience.

Beautiful property that is extremely clean and well thought out with the layout. I particularly liked the group camp area for families as well as the cleanliness of the pool. I occupied a tent space and it was exactly what I needed as a local looking for the woodsy camping experience without having to go far. The restrooms are unlike any campground bathrooms you have ever seen. Beautiful mirrors and vanity shelves with amazing soaps. The showers are just off the restrooms and each shower stall has its own changing area and private entrance. My boyfriend spent time talking with the owners and it appears they may be converting an old ship into a home away from home. It's gorgeous. I absolutely cannot wait to return and see how things have progressed for them as they were just weeks into ownership when we visited. I highly recommend this location.

Not much to do within walking distance. Cat Tails restaurant is across the street though. A short drive brings you to downtown Brandon where there are nice little shops and restaurants. They were so loud,with their screaming, yelling and playing their bad 80's heavy metal until 2 in the morning. When I complained. I was told by the owner that it was a class reunion and to "deal with it". I had my 12 year old daughter with me at the time and not one of us slept 10 minutes that night. What a rip off! and to add further insult to injury I had to give these people an extra 25 just to drive my car off the property. Their rationale was that they didnt want "riff raff " coming in and out. Funny they should say that because the "Riff Raff" were the losers staying at the campground that night.The whole camping "experience" cost me well over 40 since they charge 25 just to reserve a site. .....I do have to mention that the owners were pleasant enough to deal with, but my horrible camping experience that night far overshadowed any kind of niceties they exhibited...I would never , ever recommend this campground if you were looking for a quiet relaxing outing. Perfect place for people that drink cheap beer, drive rusty pick up trucks and watch nascar.

It is a very family friendly environment with a large playground, 3 pools, and an arcade. The showers were clean and spacious with 2 towel hooks. We easily found Storr's, called to see if there were any open sites, and headed over. The sites were large, grassy, and spread apart. The amenities were also great with three toilet and three shower stalls. Check in was easy and the people were polite. The campground also has a tennis court, basketball court, pool, volleyball net, canoes, large beach with life guards on duty, and a nice area of river that is like a small pond. I would definitely go here again and we plan to make The Storrs Camping trip a yearly event!

The main problem with the Storrs Pond Recreation Area pool in Hanover, New Hampshire, is the…read morelifeguards' work. There are a lot of lifeguards, but usually only two are near the pool; the rest are either sleeping or scrolling on their phones in different areas. But that's not a problem, since there are always a lot of people in the pool, and if something happens, they'll help. The biggest problem is that the lifeguards suddenly close the pool without warning anyone in advance. For example, on August 15, 2026, the pool was supposed to be open until 5:00 PM, but the lifeguards closed it at 4:00 PM without warning anyone. I and several other visitors--who had to travel for an hour to get there--arrived at 3:45 PM and planned to swim until 5:00 PM, but the lifeguards kicked us out without giving a reason.

Comfy bed, but with a nice tent and limited cell service, wifi if you need it, out in the woods, camping, nice clean bathrooms-but in a nice camper or clean portable bathroom and a simple clean shower attached to the outside of the camper. This is a nice experience to step away from the hustle and bustle of life. Really appreciated the owners and the great care they put into this place. They are the nicest people in the world. Plenty of space for your rig. Our RV is not a monster. We are 31' with slide outs, additional tow dolly and SUV and still had room to spread out. The site was very easy to get into. Our friends were also camped next to us. The grounds are WELL maintained. There is a saltwater swimming pool, paddle boats, kayaks and small boats for fishing. The lake is owned by the campground. There is a small beach area on the edge of the lake. There is a snack bar at the office and food is reasonably priced. The campground is easy to get to from Hwy 14. We spent a week here. It is a great location to visit Vermont's tourist spots. We will be back again.

We wanted to know about hikes in the area, which they couldnt supply us with an answer but tried to help us anyway they could. The tent camping are is extremely clean and comfy, we had a double plot which was hugh with a forest behind us we can gather woods for the night..perfect. There are a couple of regular toilets and showers (3-5 min walk from the tents area) but also porta-potties scatter all over the property which is very convince. Next to the tents there was also a water source and we didnt have electricity but we did have Wifi and the kids loved playing in the lake at the end of the day. One of the best camp sites I used, especially with the lovely fireflies at night. The only 2 downsides are the fact we didnt have electric sockets near the tents and that the showers cost 25 cents for 5 min other than that..Perfect.

The rest rooms and showers are clean and easily accessible, however, the motion lights are only on for a couple of minutes, so you have to move around if you want the lights to stay on. Also, kinda weird, but one of the showers in the men's room is coin-operated, but not the other shower. Come to find out the coin thing doesn't work, but you wouldn't know that because there's no sign to say so. It was fine, though, because the other shower was working with no problems. The pool is EXCELLENT and well-maintained. You can see that the owner takes great care of the pool, and given that the weather was quite hot and humid, the pool was a godsend! On the minus side, the office was always locked when I went there. You can call the owner's number, but that gets to be a pain. They mention a camp store, but I suppose that's in the office, which, of course, was locked. I just went into Brandon to buy what I needed which is only three miles from the campground. The owner charges for each bag of trash which he says is one of his biggest expenses, but I don't know why he just doesn't simply bake in the cost of trash in his rate to camp there. The biggest pain was the dumping station. For whatever reason, the dumping station is roped off with posts in the way so I couldn't drive my camper close to dump my black and grey water. I didn't have a long enough hose to reach, so what I had to do is use my black/grey water portable tank to dump from the camper and then dump in the dumping station. This delayed our departure by a good 45 minutes to an hour. All in all, though, I would recommend Country View Campground.
