In 2nd grade, they insisted on putting some stuff on her hair (her hair was fine). In 3rd grade, they refused to let her stand how she wanted. She just HAD to have her hand on her hips. 4th grade, she didn't want a photo because the previous years had been so traumatic. This year, she wanted one. She wanted to stand with her hands folded in front of her. The photographer said she looked like she was doing "the potty dance". They made my daughter cry, and I now have a photo with her scowling and a tear-stained face. So glad I spent money on this!!! I don't know where they get their photographers from. They never fail to make my daughter feel worthless and unheard. We won't be getting any more school photos.

For a long time, our child's daycare had been using a local mom and pop operation, which delivered to us really nice photos at very reasonable prices. After repeatedly being "courted" by a Lifetouch rep, our daycare decided to try them out for the first time. I called an 800 number to try and get pricing info (since none was provided to our school), and spoke to a complete dimwit who informed me that yes, sometimes your kid will be blinking in every pic and that's tough luck because the photographers don't bother to actually look through the viewfinder when photographing. Does that even remotely sound like the way a photographer should perform their work? It goes on...Our picture day was scheduled for Monday 10/1, but our school was informed at 8pm on that Friday that "one of the photographers can't go, so picture day would have to be cancelled." Let me remind you that for us, all the other parents, and the daycare entity too, this was all our FIRST interaction with Lifetouch, and this is how they decide to make their first impression? By canceling one school day before the actual picture day? Now we're being informed they won't be able to come back until December, but I'm glad to know that our school is shopping elsewhere. PEOPLE: Shop local, take your business elsewhere, and let these losers wither away. Read the other reviews for all the Lifetouch locations - I'm shocked they're still in business...

    My 16 yo son has taken up photography and we were looking at upgrading his equipment and stumbled…read moreupon your store. We were impressed by the size of the facility, and all the different displays and the number of selections we had to look at. We were approached by an employee (Brianna Pflug) who offered her assistance and asked what the reason for our visit was. I was blown away by her knowledge and was so excited to see how engaged my son was, who normally is very quiet, and doesn't talk much. They went back and forth asking questions and reviewed some of his pictures, which gave her a good assessment of his skill level. She offered some suggestions on how he can improve the quality of his photos. Brianna did inform us that they did offer a series of classes at that location which turned out to be the perfect birthday gift for him from my Mom. The visit went so well, that when it came time for my son to purchase a new lens, he made sure that we were going to Unique Photo and wanted to deal with only Brianna. Brianna had suggested a pre-owned Sigma 70-200mm lens that was in his price range that he ended up testing and loved. My son was the one paying for the lens, and to be honest, I did find an identical one cheaper online, but he insisted we purchased from your place, and most importantly, from Brianna. For a 16 year old boy to pass on saving some money that he earned by cutting peoples lawn over the summer tells you a lot. You have a customer for life in my son, and Brianna to thank. She took the time to listen, she learned what our purpose was, engaged and offered suggestions, and followed up with me via email afterwards when I had some questions on how to book the class. Everyone I encountered there was very friendly, which I found very refreshing. I manage a hotel and can tell you that I have shared my experience with my team in our staff meeting as an example of someone providing exceptional customer service. Brianna introduced us to Ryan, the rental manager, on our way out. Ryan noticed a smug on my son's camera which he worked some magic and took care of it right away. The care he put into doing so was like he was doing it for a family member, and I appreciate him for doing so very much. Thank you for allowing me to share my experience and thank you to Brianna for everything she has done for my son. I see a spark in his eye when he gets behind that camera, something that I haven't seen in some time and have her to thank for that. He spent the weekend shovels snow and has asked if we can return so he can pick up some accessories. I am looking forward to returning and hope to get there this weekend.
