The photos I saw had this retro style, had wonderful contrast and I found there was always warmth in their subjects. There is actual depth to their portraits and these ladies are able to capture the nuances of every emotion that occurs on your special day. Take a look at their IG/Yelp review photos and you'll see that they look like Renaissance portraits set in the streets of Brooklyn. When my husband and I met up with Jessica, she made us both feel at ease, as we've never had our photos taken professionally together before. The tips she gave us made us feel more comfortable and made the photographs turn out phenomenal! I love each and everyone of our photos from our engagement/wedding, but my favorites are definitely the candid ones. If you're looking to stay on a budget for your wedding, take my advice and do not skimp on the photographer. Thirty years from now, when you are looking back at your wedding photos, I HIGHLY doubt you're going to regret the money you spent on your priceless wedding photos. Two things I wanted to stay away from during my wedding planning: wedding expos, and overpriced…read morevendors who think just because you're getting married in Manhattan means your pockets are bottomless. One of my girlfriends was getting married a few weeks before me, and really wanted to check out a wedding expo in the city. She invited me to go with her for the bonding experience and support (initially my internal response was a slow motion resounding Noooooooooooooooooo!) but I love my friend, and with all of my vendors already booked I said 'yeah sure!' Figuring I could help her through the chaos. After the third hair removal vendor offering their service I started to feel a bit self conscious (do I look like the bearded lady!?) we turned the corner and BEHOLD! Here we stumbled upon Magnolia Photo Booth (aka the absolute hit and highlight of my wedding). I initially didn't want a photo booth. My venue wasn't huge, and most of my photo booth experiences revolved around Bar Mitzvahs and trips to the mall in 1998. But after meeting with them, and seeing what they offered (at a really great price). I walked away with a complete change of heart. Their booth was a really good size and fit perfectly with our venue. Accessories were great, staff was very friendly and accommodating and the communication I had with them was wonderful. I had a great time creating the design for the picture printout, and pumped to get the coffee table book with everyone's photos in it. The best part for me was receiving an email from them the day after the wedding. They sent me every photo taken that night. As the bride and groom, we're obviously not able to be two places at once. As we scrolled through the album and saw pictures of Everyone, from my 4 year old flower girl to my 86 year old grandmother goofing around, we were in hysterical laughter, loving knowing our whole family had a great time.

James made a house call to my mother-in-law's in Queens. We sat down and spoke for an hour, looked at albums, and talked about the vision for my wedding. He was polite, courteous and charming. We decided to move forward with signing a contract. Through multiple family look throughs (everyone wants to make sure the contract is right!), and many revisions, James was calm, assuring and really made us feel that we were getting a service tailored specifically to our needs. He insisted on an engagement photo shoot (included at no additional cost) to get to know us better so that when it came to the wedding day we were all comfortable with one another. We did our photo shoot on the streets of Manhattan and then made our way over to Central Park. Working with James and Mike was fun. They made both my husband and I feel comfortable in our own skin, and recommended ways that we could angle ourselves to really get our best angle, while not making us feel uncomfortable (no weird positions with our hands, or unnatural poses). Our photos came out beautiful and we were excited for the wedding. Wedding day came, James and Mike were on time (early even), and took photos everywhere and of everything (shoes, dress, jewelry, nieces and nephew, family waiting around).
