Leading up to surgery, they followed up to make sure I had everything I needed and knew exactly what to expect for surgery and recovery. The office itself is clean, quiet, private, and welcoming. I also loved the convenience of having the surgery performed right there at his surgical facility rather than having to navigate a hospital. I originally went to Dr. Basner primarily for a breast reduction and lift. I have had a very large chest for as long as I can remember and have never felt comfortable with it. At my first appointment, I literally told him he could "just cut them off" if he wanted. He laughed and basically told me, "Well, I'm not going to do that," and I am SO glad he didn't. For the first time in my life, my chest feels completely proportional to my body. I can wear clothes I never felt comfortable wearing before. I genuinely look at least 10 pounds lighter simply because my proportions have changed so much. After two children, I now feel confident in bathing suits and can wear certain clothes without a bra--something I truly never imagined I would be able to say. And to be very clear about how life-changing that is for me: I have worn a bra with absolutely everything since I was about 15 years old. I wore bras to sleep and sometimes needed multiple bras to play sports. I never imagined that at 35, after having two children, I would feel more comfortable and confident in my body than I did as a teenager. Dr. Basner gave me results that are beautiful and natural while still giving me the reduction I wanted. After seeing photos of Dr. Basner's rhinoplasty work and loving how natural his results were, I decided to ask about having my nose done at the same time since I was already going to be under anesthesia. I actually loved my nose from the front, but I had a large bump in my profile and felt that the tip had started to droop slightly. My biggest fear was that rhinoplasty would change the nose I already loved from the front. It didn't. It just made me love it even more. He removed the bump, refined the tip, and somehow kept my nose looking completely like my nose. It is so natural that unless I tell someone, I don't think they would ever know I had a rhinoplasty. My face even still works to unlock my phone! That was exactly what I wanted: an improved version of myself, not a completely different face. I was also pleasantly surprised by how affordable the entire experience was, especially considering the level of care, the quality of the facility, and the fact that I was having both a breast reduction/lift and rhinoplasty. For the results and experience I received, I feel like the value was exceptional. To say I am happy with my results would be a gross understatement. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Dr. Basner is incredibly talented, but what stood out just as much was the care I received before, during, and after surgery. We had purchased a 10 plan package (and only used the initial one, which is when we purchased the package at their recommendation) and when we requested a refund (with a price penalty - obviously we would not expect the package discount to be applied) of the remaining nine sessions, we were suddenly told that the packages are not refundable. This was certainly not made clear at the initial session and there is nothing in writing in the consent forms. In retrospect, their approach was a very aggressive sell with the primary goal seeming to be to strongly recommend that their clients buy multiple sessions up front, but then they seem to be unable to actually schedule the sessions. We do not recommend using them at all.
