Would you be shocked if I told you I used to work at A&F?! Yep, over a decade ago when I was in college... I worked at the home office in New Albany for about two years. These stores, the clothing inside, and the brand as a whole has changed quite a lot since then. To be honest, I stopped shopping here altogether for a minute. I didn't find their clothing to be inclusive, I'm a small human and still had trouble finding something to fit. The over sexualized ads weren't as alluring anymore and I was annoyed they weren't evolving. So I just stopped going. It wasn't until recently that I started to notice they had upped their game and appeared to have finally gotten the memo. Back in the day they never used black for anything, which sucked because it's obviously the best color to wear. Well, not only has that changed but the stores, the clothing, and the brand has changed as well -- and for the better! I recently stopped by because I had learned they were having a sale on jeans and that they now run true to size and that I might enjoy them. I'm pleased to say that I LOVE THEM! I grabbed two pairs along with some vegan leather leggings, which are amazing. I'll definitely be back. The staff were somewhat helpful, I was happy to see everyone in masks, and the changing rooms were really nice. I liked that I had the ability to adjust the lighting. So high-tech. Awful experience I had with Easton Store Manager, Amanda. Amanda's unprofessionalism and indifference when communicating with a long time customer, was extremely disheartening to experience. When attempting to return a Christmas gift, I was notified we were outside of the 30 day window. Her response was, "I cannot return these items, as my store would be flagged for theft". While I appreciate her priority being "her store", it leaves very little room for prioritizing the customer. Amanda subsequently became "uncomfortable". Amanda depicted inexperience and immaturity. As a manager, her inability to rectify the situation and have a tough conversation, was upsetting. Additional training and coaching is needed. Get it together, Abercrombie. read more

This is a great store for casual clothing of above average quality. It's located at Easton just outside as you enter one of their outdoor town square areas. Tip: come on Black Friday for half off the whole store! The staff here greet you with a smile fairly consistently when you enter. The store is roomy enough and laid out well with men's clothing on one side and women's clothing on the other. Abercrombie clothes look best if you have some upper body muscle. They don't call them "muscle fit" for nothing. If you do, the tees and polos will definitely accentuate them beautifully. Clothing quality has dropped a bit over the years, but the items still have a solid build that will last. I still wear polos from several years ago that are holding up fine. You cannot go wrong with an A&F polo. Their prices have actually moderated a bit, and there are frequent sales. They're still on the higher end of casual clothes price-wise and more expensive than their little surfer brother Hollister. The quality is definitely better, though. Tip: join A&F rewards (free) to earn points toward rewards and VIP status with more perks. Abercrombie may be expensive but the clothes are quality, well built, made to last. I have jeans and shorts that I've had for well over 6 years and they still look great. The shorts are made of a very heavy fabric so I think they'll last another 6 years. You get what you pay for!! As for T-shirts, they are just that; not meant to last forever. But with their pants and shorts you can never go wrong!! Oh yeah, love their flip flops!!! Not the plastic ones, but the well built leather and woven styles. They too will last you forever. I have about 6 pair or so (all I wear from May to October) and they have lasted for years. This review only speaks to this A&F store location I went to, not to A&F in general: Beyond pathetic. I've NEVER been to a store where it took more than half an hour to checkout at the register. 1st time for everything I guess... What's sad is that I sat there and actually waited. Why? 2 reasons: great sale going on in store & I didn't bring enough clothes with me from home so getting clothes here benefitted me greatly. But I was beyond annoyed and agitated. People behind me were complaining about how sorry the checkouts at this store are ALL the time. I sure as hell don't know why they keep coming back then. This would never fly in the city... Anywho, it was a stupid long wait. Only one cash register was working. The 2nd one didn't work according to the employees. I don't buy that. Looked like they didn't have sufficient staffing. And the guy behind the register? Poor guy, he seemed new because he had so many discrepancies with the people ahead of me in line. He had to be stressed. I'll buy clothes from anywhere as long as they are nice & of good quality. But I can't support a store location like this that finds their time to be more valuable than mine. I find that to be disrespectful. Period. And then you have the nerve to ask me if I want to sign up for your credit card after my 4536476778 year wait. Uh....NO. Get the eff outta here. read more

as an employee who works for home office. every single time I go in, I don't get a "hello". The employees see me, because I sure as hell look them in the eye. as I shop, I look when a person is coming into the store, and all of a sudden, they are greeted with a hello. normally a white lady. I am a person of color, so maybe they think I don't speak English or whatever. but every single time I go in, nope. So whoever is running this store. step it up. read more

I always order online and get drive up. I ALWAYS have to call the store to get my order out to me. this has been going on for MONTHS and it is not in high traffic times. never once have they brought my order out from filling out the "I'm here" information. This is my favorite Columbus location! They have the biggest selection and the service is friendly, accommodating, and efficient. I shop A&F pretty regularly both online and in the stores. This store has always offered to price match online if necessary and has never given me a hassle if I needed to return. If you join the free A&F Club you earn dollar rewards, which add up quickly for me. I also have all of my receipts sent to my email which makes exchanging or returning simple. The store is always well signed and they are always willing to check the back for stock if needed. Thanks for making my trips a breeze! read more

This review is meant for those who aren't avid haters of Abercrombie. That being said, this Abercrombie actually does a good job helping customers. Ive shopped at several where I can't find anyone to help. I should also point out that I don't carry a torch for diversity but this location has a pretty diverse staff. The fact that I noticed it is cool. I remember that lawsuit they had a few years ago and it would seem they're making strides. This store also has a wider array of sizes. For instance, just because I can get a small in a shirt doesn't mean I can get a small in a sweater or hoodie. At the end of the day, I like this location. read more

I am by no means anti-A&F, but when are they going to stop dousing the entire store with cologne and turn down the excruciatingly painful techno music? Nausea and dizziness... the perfect recipe for wanting to bang your head against the store's custom wood doors. For $30, you can get a t-shirt that will guarantee a hole after a single wash. And for $90, you can get a pair of jeans with blown out holes and abrasions. Gee, I can come up with something like that and perhaps something prettier too. It's called an old pair of jeans and scissors. Exorbitant prices for low-quality items. I prefer spending the same amount at Banana Republic or J. Crew. they're not going to stop dousing the store anytime soon - in fact, they have installed a system in the store that sprays concentrated versions of their colognes into the air conditioning system, and that's on top of spraying all the displays down with actual cologne. I just hate the fact that their large shirts don't fit me - I fit any other brand's large shirts, but their large shirts are made for people who are cut like diamonds and NEED to show it off. read more

Let me start by saying I absolutely love A&F, the quality of clothing is great & I like the style especially when it comes to jeans. However, after working with A&F & knowing what the brand expects of their employees; I was extremely disappointed by the customer service at this store. There was only one worker who I saw actually interact with the guests & carry a pleasant attitude (She was working the dressing rooms around 5:30 on 06/21/20). Everyone else in the store was absolutely horrible. We asked a guy for a different size in shorts & he said they did not have any black jeans shorts in the store, without even checking & after we pointed out they did in fact have them, he said those we're all they had. I can understand the lack of inventory but for him to not even check after he was wrong the first time was incredibly unprofessional. We brushed it off & went to check out while a buy one get one half off sale was going on for jeans. There was three groups of people in line so another employee hopped onto the cash register checked out one person, made direct eye contact with me while I walked up to her register, then grabbed something and ran off. Again, knowing the brands expectations for customer service I thought this was unprofessional. Then to top it off, once we eventually got checked out, the jeans rang up wrong. I told the girl they we were marketed as buy one get one half off, but she left to go check. At that point, with the time we've waited and horrible service we experienced I was fed up & left. When I worked for A&F we were expected to know the sales in our own store and what applied/what did not. This is not the standard my managers at A&F held our team to. With the exception of one employee, all of these workers were absolutely unprofessional, had horrible customer service skills & give A&F a bad name. read more

It is my favorite cheap store at Easton!!! It smells great in there and the music may be a tad loud, but it is not unbearable. The employees have always been very helpful! Though they told us that we would have to check out a few times b/c their register could only ring up 15 items at a time, they made it work and we were out of there pretty fast. I think abercrombie & fitch has something for everyone, from short to tall and from fat to skinny and from men to women. read more

It took them a long time to checkout at the cash register. And this is what happens tome every time I checkout: a $30 jacket that they "accidentally" charged for $75 dollars etc. The staff always look annoyed whenever I mention it. The only reason I didn't give this store 1 star is because of the high quality products. 0.5 stars for staff attitude and attractiveness. read more
