Overall , a B+. Great crunchy taste. chocolate biscotti could have a little more chocolate flavor but cranberry ones were superb.

The croissants have tasted dry both times as if they are a few days old, if you bring it home and put it in the microwave for 10 seconds it tastes better, but not what I would expect from a bakery Over all the facilities look clean and well kept, the people who run the bakery are passionate & it had a good ambience!

Good thing, too. We were about to try a few things that she steered us clear of. We ended up ordering: Cheesy bagel with cream cheese Everything bagel Chocolate croissant Ham and cheese danish Pumpkin chocolate almond croissant 2 iced coffees Some notes: -She heated up all of the items for us, which was tasty and delicious. -Coffee was good. Oat milk or half and half were available. -No plastic knives for the cream cheese. We used wooden coffee stirrers which was fine but clumsy to navigate. -Not sure why reviews are so bad for bagels because they were fluffy with just the right amount of chew (close to NY style). I will say that after it being toasted, the bagel was not soft enough the day after to eat. But day-of, it was great. -Small seating area typical of little cafes. A few outdoor tables as well. -Very friendly service. Accommodating and welcoming to our child circus -the cheesy bagel isn't the typical Asiago most places carry, but an actual cheddar blend. Yummy.

FWS is a great lunch spot and I am happy Yelp suggested it to me. The owner - operator fellow…read moreexplained the entire menu to us when he found this was our first time visiting. The menu is extensive and is made up of various baked goods designed in the UK, France, and Italy (and maybe more). Megan had a chicken salad sandwich that had bacon, some fruit, and was on focaccia. Megan enjoyed it a lot. I had some butternut squash soup and a steak pie. Both were mighty tasty. I had a good laugh when the owner said to be sure to use all the gravy. LOL you dont know me, I will take two gravies! We had a few baked goods to go including a pasty, croissant, and a bear claw. These were good but as with all freshly made baked goods you need to eat soon, don't let it linger! Oh yeah, looking at my photos the reason that we went to FWS in the first place was to pick up some baguettes to make banh mi sandwiches, and those were great.

I dropped in the next morning and was greeted by the owner. His smile and friendly demeanor are a welcome treat. He told me about the selections, how to best enjoy them and which he suggested. I left with more than I planned, but it all looked so good, smelled so good and he was so passionate about his craft that I just wanted to try them all. The chocolate croissant is still my favorite, but the blueberry scone is a close second.
