We are so appreciative of and delighted by this bakery! Their peanut butter cake was AMAZING--rich, creamy, DELICIOUS.

Cute and fun shop. The cupcakes were just average. Grainy icing and a dry cake. I'm glad we tried it but we won't be back.

Blairsville, Georgia~ Stopped in after reading the great…read morereviews. The owner was sweetly gruff! He told us he was from Cuba and raised in Miami. His wife and daughter are the cooks. The cafe is inviting although sparse. Chicky bowl had good flavor and the yellow rice really set off the flavor of the chicken. My lunch mate said it reminded her of a chicken cacciatore dish. Piggy bowl was really delicious with two different kinds of beans. The shredded pork was a nice blend of tart and crispy. Unfortunately the Cuban sammy left a lot to be desired. The bread was dry and hard, without any flavor. Yes it was "pressed " but we expected a sandwich with plenty of juicy meat and cheese hanging over the sides! Not so. Very little mayo or mustard to cut the dry bread, one pickle, and very little meat. (See photo) Three of us had the Cuban. All 3 of us agreed that this would not be something to recommend. One of my lunch mates had the schnitzel sandwich. The pork loin was breaded, dry and had no flavor. He also said he would not recommend this sammy. Overall, this would be a one and done for all of us. We are from Orlando and have some spectacular Cuban sandwich restaurants here. Lots of locals with great Cuban roots.

As soon as I entered, I was greeted very warmly and I was able to choose the table that I wanted to sit. The waitress was very friendly and very patient as I did not know what yo get. I asked her about the cuban sandwich and she spoke highly of it so I went with it. The rice and beans were seasoned to perfection and the sandwich had a very good flavor. The ambiance is great because there is plenty of space and/or spacious. If you want to try something new this is your place. The family works together which is good because you are getting the best customer service and the quality of the food is above what you can get from a chain restaurant.

We have been looking for a local family owned restaurant in the area for awhile. We found C&J cafe…read moreand decided to give it a try. Immediately we were greeted with a friendly hello and smile by the owner wife and we were asking questions about the menu and how things were prepared and she indicated everything was prepared fresh by her husband and co owner. He came over and we felt we had known these foods forever. We ordered our food and OmG was it good. Cooked fresh and with care. The owner indicated that at any time we wanted a special dish cooked just give him a call and he would prepare it. I was blown away. The owner has a wide variety of specialty dishes he prepares and his family roots are in Italian food. He also has German dishes on the menu along with local favorites. Also he is a US Army veteran so of course I will be back supporting him and his business. In just one visit there we decided this will be our go too place to eat. You will not be disappointed. I have an extensive restaurant background and these folks do it right and really care about the quality of the food and if the customers are happy. Give them a try!!!

While I tried to consider a different meal plan, I noted their Gyro and asked if I could have the gyro topping (if it was gluten-free)on a baked potato instead. They were happy to accommodate me and it was a winner! Their Tzaziki is fire! I told them they need to put that dish on the special menu and I think they are planning to do it. Even better if they put it on their regular menu ;) we will definitely be back!

"No busques la suerte y te saldrá al paso"("Don't look for luck and it will come your way.")…read moreMexican Proverb We weren't looking for tacos when touring downtown Blairsville, but definitely got lucky coming across this fun little restaurant. A visit to Lucky's Taqueria & Cantina begins with its playful exterior. It's bold colors and signage stand out, as does a bicycle perched above the entrance. The eclectic decor continues throughout the restaurant, creating an energetic and lively ambience. We sat at the bar, looked over the cocktail menu, and decided on thier Skinny Margarita and Reposado Old Fashioned. Both were delicious, well balanced cocktails. Lucky's has a good list of tacos, from Barbacoa to chicken to fish to shrimp, and fortunately for this cigar smoking, beer drinking vegetarian, they had two veggie tacos available. I had the Chipotle Butternut Squash Taco (Chipotle roasted butternut squash, pickled golden raisins, cashew crema, cilantro.) and the Seared Tofu Taco (Seared marinated tofu, pineapple pico, cilantro) Both were outstanding, with the Squash taco being my favorite. Along with tacos, the menu includes appetizers, soups and salads, tortas, enchiladas, burritos and other unique entrees. My girlfriend, who loves tacos, actually decided against tacos to order the Tostones con Puerco, an appetizer dish that included three large green plantains topped with smoked pork, garlic sauce, crema, guajillo sauce, queso fresco, and cilantro. Service at the bar was great, prices were very reasonable for the product. If Lucky's wasn't 90 minutes away from me, they would be getting all of my lunch money, for that reason I'm not sure if it is good luck or bad luck that they aren't closer, but we will definitely be back!

We had fun on Trivia Night first time. Service is good, but can be a little sparse when they are busy. The tacos: Butternut squash is tasty and spicy, Brisket (2 of our party got sick after eating these ), Gringo supreme is good but the sour cream is overloaded and kills the taste of the other ingredients. Tacos are around $4-$6 each. Some in our party didn't like how the flour shell was dry and crispy instead of soft. Drinks are adequate. We may try again on our next visit, but we will be careful what we order.
