If you've never tried the frozen dinners you are missing out! My daughter bought us a couple different ones as part of our Christmas. We love the chicken pot pie, lasagna and chicken enchiladas. Rude! I will not be going back. I don't know if it was because they just opened back up for the season but they didn't have the inventory they've had in the past. No pecan rolls, no cinnamon rolls (only on Saturdays), no more deli or sandwiches, & no rolls. Only open Thursday-Saturday. Everything is good but they don't appreciate their customers. What a wonderful find this afternoon on the way home from Cleveland, GA. Stopped in to check it out and what a pleasant surprise. Plenty of pastries breads and treats. We both had sandwiches that were handmade with Boars Head meat on their homemade bread. I had mine on German Grain bread which is made up of about 7 different grains. This is a Amish run bakery is outstanding. Fresh cut flowers for sale, prepared meals ready for pick up, fresh herbs to grow at home. Looking forward to visiting this bakery in the mornings to see what jewels they'll have to start the day with. Lunch for the two of us was $ 15 dollars 2 sandwiches one drink a side and a cookie. Great deal Great service sandwiches are handmade as you order them. Ambiance reminded me of bakeries of old. They cut loaves of bread as you request it to take home. Keep up the great work read more

Fantastic Red Velvet and Chocolate cupcakes. Bought a couple small pecan pies and theyvwere good. However, so msny pecans, so i thinkk the larger pecan pies would be better. Going to go back soon to try the quiches and lasagna. I will definitely go back back to try more of the desserts. read more

I've been coming to this bake shop for over 30 years. When they moved from the little house on the hill to their new building their quality went down. They cut the cinnamon and their cinnamon rolls about half. Now this time I've purchased cinnamon rolls and they hardly had any cinnamon in the rolls , as a matter of fact two didn't have any cinnamon in them I was only eating dough. I used to buy dozens and take home with me to share with everyone sadly this year I won't take any. I also spoke with the woman and she said they would not be making the pecan rolls anymore because pecans have gone up I can understand. But I don't think cinnamon has gone up so much that it can't be used. I also purchased a chicken pot pie it was absolutely delicious. I be back next year to try again. THIS IS A HIDDEN GEM AND THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE FIVE STAR REVIEWS!!!!! Located off of Helen Highway a little ways down from the Mount Yonah trailhead is this little, white, inconspicuous building with a small "Bakery" sign on top. However as soon as you open the door, the smell hits you. This little bakery smells like the most glorious, delicious cupcake made by human hands. I couldn't get over it, I didn't want to leave because it smelled so delicious. When I went up to the counter I said to the cashier "it smells so good in here" to which she responded "I know" YAS HONEY BE PROUD OF YOUR WARES! Speaking of wares there are so many to choose from: bread, ice cream, pies, cupcakes, God help me. BUT let me tell you, the most delicious thing they sell in my opinion is the KEY LIME CREMES. Usually when we want to grab a sandwich out, we go to Subway and its ok. Nothing special, but not a heavy, greasy lunch, so it will do when I don't have lunch from home. Today we stopped at the Country Bake Shoppe and got their lunch special for $6.13, which is $6.50 with tax. You get your choice of their fresh baked bread, Boars Head lunch meat and cheeses, condiments and vegetables. It comes with a side of chips or one of their salads, a cookie of their choice and a canned drink. Filled out the order slip: German grain bread, turkey, baby swiss, lettuce, tomato, deli mustard. Side of loaded baked potato salad. My goodness, do those nice ladies in bonnets know about making potato salad! It had cheddar cheese, bacon, potatoes with the skins on and it was so creamy and rich, my guess is cream cheese and sour cream. A small pecan sandy rounded out the meal. We took it to go and ate at home, but there is one smallish table in there you could sit at. They also have a huge selection of cakes, pies, cookies, breads, and a case with house made freezer food like lasagna. Eat local, eat good! read more

Ok bakery. The selection was great, excellent food, clean. very well organized and items were fresh with an adequate price. I feel for older folks who, at busier times must stand and wait to be helped with their purchases. I think maybe they would find a few benches, strategically placed, would be nice and more relaxing for them. Also a little friendliness and warmth from the staff would also go a long way. Every employee I've ever had to deal with had zero personality and just looked at you like a stone faced robot, like they were afraid to relax and interact with the customers. Is that their nature, or how they are required to be by management? Not customer friendly at all which makes wanting to make a return visit...ah something to think about. I've been there 4 times now and I've been met with the same mechanical employees. Lighten up guys, relax and smile. That is the reason for my lower than perfect score. You may want to think about a few little cafe tables as well. If a person could have a cup of coffee and a danish, then maybe your revenue would increase. Just a helpful suggestion. read more

This gem is a rare find. We were headed back home from Helen Ga and saw this bakery. We knew it would be amazing judging by the reviews. The smell is heavenly when you walk in , fresh baked bread and goodies ! The rack by the door was discount because it was made yesterday. Great deals! It's a small shop that has so much to offer. The mennonites who run it are so very kind and helpful. We bought a loaf of cheese bread and they sliced it for us , a small pecan pie, banana nut bread, a key lime cream cookie, and a half dozen cinnamon rolls. Some of the items were treats for friends. The cheese bread will melt in your mouth, the Key Lime cookie was the absolute best cookie I've ever had. All of our treats only come to $14 !! You can buy cookies or half or full cakes. They also had homemade granola , a gentleman came in and grabbed 5 containers. Another gentleman brought a cooler to fill . If you are anywhere near this place GO !! Clean as a whistle is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Whoopi cakes are the bomb. Cakes and pies are reasonable priced and delicious. They even make doggies treats. Boar's head deli counter makes sandwiches. Frozen dinner entrees are tasty and very inexpensive. One table allows for eating inside otherwise everything has to go home with you. When you open the door and first enter the aroma of fresh baked bread overwhelms the senses. Bread may rake the smeller but it's the sweet treats that keeps em coming back for more.
