As a coffee junkie, this place amazed me. First off, kudos to the young man working the register helping his gf's family who I assume own the spot. What a team player. The youngsters working the coffee machines appeared to be having a good time. The young gorgeous blonde girl taking my coffee order was awesome with her suggestions for my peppermint mocha with the sweat foam. That coffee was delicious!!! The place was busy but the staff having fun and looking to be enjoying their job made it so worth the wait. Did I mention the coffee was delicious? Also, love the golden retriever decor around the little place. So cozy! I can't wait to go there again. read more

The coffee, food and service at Abigail's is amazing!! 5 of us went for breakfast before shopping around the town square and all loved what we got! One of the flavors of the week at the time was nuts and berries and OMG!!!!!! I got mine iced and it tasted like captain crunch berry in the most magical way possible lol. It was delightful! I also got the bacon egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich and it was equally as good-- nothing crazy but definitely tasty! All of the girls who were working there the morning we visited were super helpful, accommodating, sweet and just the friendliest employees I've ever met anywhere! I will say, it did get kind of awkward when a lady who was also working that morning (possibly the owner or manager) started clapping in the younger girls faces and yelling at all of them in a demanding and offsetting way. I'm sure there was more to the story, and typically I understand from a managers POV, but the entire time we were there 25-35 minutes, the tiny store was PACKED with people. For about a month now this place has gone severally down hill. The food went up in price and way down in quality. The "Grilled" (frozen) Chicken is always super rubbery, and the lettuce seems like it's far beyond wilted. I also don't think Modern Family is a show that should be aired in a place with children, especially with the sound up. The service is mediocre...on their good days. Really think they need to consider getting a few new employees considering over half the staff looks no older than 15 and they are left there unattended on a daily basis. It also seems that their sweet tea tastes different every time I am there, sometimes it tastes soapy. But at least the ice cream never disappoints! read more

Cute little coffee shop on the square in Ligonier, with just enough offerings to make it upscale but not pretentious, seasonal but not overboard. I'm enjoying a Maple Latte, and of course they have the usual smattering of pumpkin spice everything. What caught my eye, though was the Affogato: An Italian dessert of ice cream over which espresso has been poured. They have some nice flavors of ice cream like chocolate caramel cashew, pumpkin roll, moose tracks, and the usual, all situated nicely on the square for people watching. read more

Revised review - I am raising my review to 5 stars after getting a gracious message from the owner of Abigail's Coffeehouse. She reached out to ask how our experience could have been improved. It dawned on me that she had no control on our feelings of being surrounded by local customers when her staff had treated us very cordially and quickly. Husband and I had intended to go to the Ligonier farmer's market, but we were put off from going due to the huge crowd and limited parking. So we circled the town and found Abigail's Coffeehouse. It's very small with limited seating. It seemed very popular with locals and people coming in to pickup to-go items. We felt a little out of place as seating was not available. The staff was accommodating and friendly. I ordered peach lemonade and cranberry scone. Very good. My better half wanted ham and cheese bagel and Carmel latte. He enjoyed the bagel but he found the latte lacking flavor. There was a nice sandwich selection on the limited menu. I understand why the locals frequently stop in to chat and catch up with each other. It has a quaint, homey atmosphere. read more

This is the most Adorable coffee shop located in the dreamiest small town setting. It felt like I walked into a hallmark movie. Had a great cup of coffee and a home made sticky bun. They have really good chicken salad- with grapes that is amazing. The owners Diane and Joe and their kids work the counter. It did feel uncomfortable though when the manager/owner would yell at the workers and clapped in their faces. Cute place in Ligonier, not a ton of seating but clean and quaint. Staff was very friendly, service was quick. They had a large breakfast menu that we didn't get a chance to try out but the cinnamon biscotti was very tasty. Only complaint was the coffee, both the salted caramel latte and salted caramel cold brew had so much syrup and creamer that it was bordering undrinkable. Other reviews didn't seem to have this problem so may have just been a fluke, would still recommend trying it out for yourself! read more

My wife and I passed through Ligonier on the way visit our son. We stayed locally and needed our morning Joe. Abigail's was open. You enter to a grand greeting from Abigail herself. The locals were already enjoying their coffee and treats with joy. We felt right at home. The coffee was as good as any I have had and the home made treats were delicious. Best of all this is a local family owned shop with all the character of a Hallmark Movie. Go in and say Hi to Abigail (and her Dad making the coffee) and sit enjoy chatting with the townsfolk. I stopped in here today with my wife for an afternoon pick me up. The inside of Abigail's is quaint with a coffee bar and ice cream freezer on one side and four tables (seating for 3 each) and a couple of leather couches on the other side. I ended up ordering my usual coffee drink, an Americano, in the 20 oz version. After only a short wait my drink was ready. The taste of the coffee had some fruity undertones to it and I honestly wasn't a fan of it. However with that being said I think that they did a fine job with the espresso shots for my coffee as it was decently strong and had no bitterness. I think that the problem was that I wasn't a huge fan of the varietal of coffee that they were using. The workers here also seemed rather friendly and they did a really good job of helping the person behind me who didn't really know what he wanted. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. While I wasn't the biggest fan of the coffee, it was just my personal preference and I'd be more than willing to try another Americano with some different coffee. read more

This cafe has charm and coffee to spare. When arriving here on a Saturday morning, it was packed full of people - maybe a mix of locals and out-of-towners? They all seem happy and pleased with their beverages. The counter is lined with baked goods in waxed paper, like scones and cookies, indicating recent baking and screaming home-made appeal. As soon as you walk in, the ice cream case glares at you, daring you to walk by without looking, and to not order some. Challenge for some, I am sure. The cafe is not very large, and you cannot avoid walking by the ice cream. However, the focus for our group was caffeine of the coffee variety. We were all pleased with our 16 oz. drinks of espresso drinks. They have interesting syrup concoctions that you can pre-order, or, select your own. Traditionalists can simply order a latte, cappuccino, Americano or the like in 12 oz., 16 oz. or 20 oz. option. Prices are fair. Staff is warm and friendly. Coffee flavor is alright, but I have to say, I am used to a stronger, richer and more robust flavor that carries through the beverage. When I ordered a soy latte, it hit me first with the soy, then with the espresso. I am glad it wasn't too sweet, but, I would maybe order with an extra shot next time to bring out a bit more of the espresso flavor. Still, it was nice to have the dairy free latte option! The only thing Abigail's lacks is consistency. I fall in love with a drink and I go back and a different person is working and it doesn't taste the same. One time I ordered a peanut butter white chocolate mocha at kid temp and I got a peppermint peanut butter latte. It was too hot to drink before I left and I was already in mount pleasant or I would have asked for a new one. If the owner makes your drink it will taste amazing. The mini cinnamon rolls are melt in your mouth good and the pepperoni rolls are to die for. I just wish the baristas were all as consistent as the owner. read more

Really liked that a bag of chips comes with each sandwich. Sometimes you need a little bit more. What pushes this place over the top.... Hand dipped ice cream. Yaaaasss! Stop here. The place was packed but the staff was friendly, happy, efficient, and enjoying the crowd. Started my lunch with dessert... Enjoyed chocolate chip pound cake... While I waited for my lunch... I ordered "The Homer" which delicious the mixture of turkey, bacon and coleslaw is delicious. Great experience here today! Took a trip to Ligonier for the Ice Festival and came across this cute coffee shop to get something to drink and a bite to eat. Immediately the atmosphere makes you feel welcome and gives you a very happy feel. As a customer, you're greeted by friendly workers and a winter-themed coffee menu and regular breakfast/lunch menu with tons of intriguing options. My sister and I chose the "Homer" sandwich with turkey, Swiss cheese, coleslaw, tomato and bacon. While my daughter went with the bacon, egg and cheese bagel. Both of our meals were excellent. We also both received a side of Lays potato chips. For drinks we decided on a 4 berry smoothie and a strawberry smoothie which were both EXCELLENT.
