However, we went back this year and found the course is under new ownership. They are doing a great deal of work to improve the facility. Not only for the golf course, but they also have began serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Allso, it is one of the few places in Merkel that has a first rate bar. They have juke box, and two big screen TV's on the wall for sporting events, and such after golf. It will be interesting to see how much better it gets the next time I am in the area. It is well worth the stop, and not very far off of the interstate.

What is so fun, is there is a local couple that have bought the place and are working on the place left and right! I love when local folks re-invest in their believes! Just like watching a great garden grow, you have to keep an eye on this place! The golf course is still fantastic with small improvements that have gone under hidden ways! The pool and children's pool has improved beyond belief! The menu and dishes keep being improved! The service is still top notch, very quick and very attentive with out over doing it! The new tennis courts are a great touch! To the sweet couple that bought the place and are putting your heart into this place, my hat's off to you both! Dry greens, holes not well groomed, just dirt cart paths that were not well maintained, and the carts were not well maintained either the brakes in my cart did not work well at all. Overall the course should have cost more like $25-35 for the condition it was in. I wouldn't recommend going here, you can go to other courses around the area such as Hawley that are the same condition if not nicer for much cheaper.

A few scattered bunkers, and 2 holes with water if you don't keep your drives in the fairway. At the time of this review, I was paying $25 with cart on Tues, Weds & Thurs. I believe weekend rate is $33 with cart. Club membership is also available. Driving range ($3 for a bag of approx. 25 balls), and a practice putting green is also available. I believe there is a bar & restaurant, although I usually just golf here. The only thing I wasn't happy with is the lack of yardage markers on the fairways. They're very difficult to locate, unless you have some kind of electronic device for yardage.
