[[HIGHLIGHT]]This has been on my bucket list for years when passing thru Louisiana on our way to Pensacola we finally stopped in it has a long tasting bar lots of taps a big gift shop with take away brewery 6 packs and a pretty courtyard with tables also had a food truck outside[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I have always been a huge fan of Abita beers! From my first one: TURBO DOG to trying the strawberry and all the others, I was in heaven to be able to come here to their taphouse and enjoy some fresh cold beers! The have a huge selection on tap and even some special ones that you will never see in a can or bottle. They are more than happy to give out tastes and samples and even more than one or two. They have multiple coolers showing off their standards along with seasonal offerings in 6 and 12 packs. Additionally, the prices are pretty darn good on carry out beers. They also offer crowlers, growler refills and of course pints. A nice little store area houses all their merchandise and has a great selection from stickers to signs to coasters to t-shirts, you will find something that you like. I, myself, picked up a nice long sleeved t-shirt. They also have tours of their brewing facility and can handle groups as well for company outings etc.

Very great service! Nick (from California, our state!) & Jin helped us! They both recommended drinks & helped my boyfriend and I pick the drinks to suit us. We'll definitely come again on our next visit to Louisiana!

While staying in the area, we had to come here again. Just as fun as before. It's Mardi Gras time so I had the Mardi Gras Bock. It's really good. We also had the in-house root beer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great beer in a great venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was my first time visiting the brewery. Took a day trip from New Orleans and this was the last stop. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We really enjoyed the game with the string & hook, and it was sooo nice to sit in the courtyard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartender was super helpful and honest when I was picking out what beers I wanted in my flight. Wish I had gotten her name. Shorter lady. The beer was delish! As expected. This place has been in my brewery bucket list for a while, and i'm glad to say i've checked it off! Will be back!

We had the manager, Ari, who was absolutely amazing. I cannot even express how great the service was and she is absolutely amazing. I would recommend anyone to come here and I hope you are lucky enough to meet her. Of course, the beer is great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance is fantastic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 10/10!!!

Awesome Abita experience! Always been a big fan of Abita beers so it was cool to see where they make the beers. Did the tour which was just so-so but still a fun experience. Tried about 12 samples of beer with the flights. We liked about 10 of them so that's a huge success. The staff was super friendly and informative. Tried the King Cake Soda....yes please! Omg so sad it's seasonal but it's delicious.

Worth a stop if you are staying in the area. Lots of parking. Tour is very informative and you get to go into almost every part of the brewery. The guided cost $10, but you get a beer token so its only a few $. They also have self guided, I am not sure if you get to see more or less on a self guided. Bar area is not massive, however there is a good amount of seating. There are table games and shuffle board. The drink selections is top notch. Not only do they have all of there standard beers on tap, they have a full range of Brewery only beers on tap, if nothing else this is the reason to stop by here. Many of these beers are uniquely flavored or have a high ABV. They have rum, by it by the bottle. Very very sooth drinking rum. They have some of the best Root Beer and Cream soda I have ever had, great for the kids.... Also this is a kid friendly brewery. Food. Like many breweries they have a rotating list of food trucks. So that can be hit or miss. gift shop is all reasonably priced. They have tap handles, shirts, stickers and more. Buy caned/bottled beer to go from the cooler. Great stop, if you find yourself in the area needing something to do, I highly recommend stopping by. If you are a beer nerd or someone that like visiting breweries, this is a must. #1 brewery in Louisianan, and better than many I have gone to in Texas. I would recommend and return.

I was thirsty after driving to Mandeville over the world's longest continuous bridge (Lake Ponchartrain Causeway), so after stuffing myself with seafood at the Rusty Pelican in Mandeville (see separate review) I drove less than 10 miles to Abita Springs/Covington to visit the Abita brewery. We didn't do the tour (tours are at 1 and 3 PM), but we enjoyed chilling out in the bar and retail area. We ordered a flight of 3 sodas (cream, root beer and Mardi Gras King Cake. My favorite was the King Cake soda. It had a clean taste profile with a spice finish. We ended with a flight of six which we did with 3 fruited beers (strawberry-gator, blueberry and Barney - mix of strawberry-gator and purple haze) and 2 cocktails (mojito and tiki rum), and a seltzer (Ocean Breeze). Of these, my favorites were the Tiki Rum, Mojito, strawberry-gator and blueberry. These were fruity, had a hint of sweetness and overall nicely balanced. Our bartender was knowledgeable and made good suggestions regarding the sodas and cocktails which I'd not tasted before those visit. The tasting room had plenty of inside seating and a nice outdoor seating area with a fountain. This was a spur of the moment trip because we saw how close we were to the brewery when we completed lunch in Mandeville. Folks, whether you are a beer drinker or not, Abita Brewery is a nice stop. Visit to enjoy a nice soda, cocktail or seltzer, beer; then sit a spell to enjoy some good sittin'!

Abita was my most recent brewery experience I'd like to chronicle into a Yelp review... or would that be my Yelp diary? Lol Regardless what day and what outlook I have at the time I always feel like I got to be cranking out the reviews for all of you. Anyway back to the point. Abita Brewing provided an enjoyable beer experience for Steve and myself as we tried out two of their beers. The first one was their amber. It was good. No complaints. Not my favorite amber I ever came across but it was fine. I was however quite impressed with their Office Party Holiday Stout. This was a milk stout that went down very smooth with elements of cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla and coffee which in turn made a very fine holiday beer as we approach the cooler months. We are heading into porter and stout season and the Office Party was a fine kick off for it.

I love Abita beer and I probably drink more Abita Amber than just about any other human on the planet. With that said I didn't fully enjoy my first few visits to the Abita Brewery Visitor's Center and Tap Room as it can get crowded and back when I did the brewery tour the first time it felt so rushed that I only got to enjoy four beers. Granted it was on a Saturday pre-pandemic times and going during the week is a much more relaxing and enjoyable time so that would probably be the best time for a visit and not during the hectic weekend. Back during my first tour the used to sometimes even run out of beer on some of the taps which as it is at the actual brewery I'm was confused why they couldn't just replace the kegs? Fast forward to 2023 and things are working much more smoothly and efficiently. The only real negative is that I find is the price of the beers in the tap room are often more expensive than what can be found at some bars in the area (although they do offer various ways to get discounts). The biggest challenge I see is the Tap Room closes very early these days which seems to be an all too common pattern in many businesses these days. This facility is certainly nice and the tour of the brewery itself is alright but I would like for them to add the bottling and canning process for us to see (at least through a window view at least) to get a full view of the entire manufacturing process. Since I LOVE Abita beer I do return here often to enjoy more good times. They have vastly improved their gift store as for a time it was easier to order t-shirts and other shwag online instead of the gift shop but now they have really made the merchandise area very nice. So Abita beer continues to make ongoing improvements in this space and I look forward to more good times here. One of our favorite breweries, so many choices on tap and pilot brews. We had a Cold IPA and Experimental Hop 1019. Both were excellent. Always great service! Beautiful building with some cool shirts.

Where can I purchase craft soda tour tickets? Online I only see the option to purchase brewery tour tickets.

At the front desk. It is the same tour - you just get soda-tasting coupons instead of beer-tasting coupons. If you want to reserve space - just call them.

I went to Covington Beer Garden with friends for some holiday day drinking and eating. You know,…read morethe kind of thing civilized people do when they have a day off and no real responsibilities for a few hours. I had been wanting to try this place, and overall I am glad I did. First, the place itself is pretty great. Lots of seating, a cool inside area, a nice outside area, and a setup that makes you want to hang out for a while. This is not one of those places where you walk in, have one drink, and immediately start wondering where else you should go. It feels like a place built for staying. The staff was friendly too, which matters when you are there with a group and everyone is ordering different things, moving around, and generally being a mild inconvenience. Now, about the drinks. The selection was solid. Not bad at all. But with "Beer Garden" in the name, I expected a little more beer. Maybe that is unfair. Maybe I am being too literal. But if you call yourself a beer garden, I am going to expect a beer list that makes me stop and think for a minute. This one did not quite do that. That said, the frozen drinks were fun and would be great in the summer heat. But the food. The food was excellent. I do not know that I expected the food to be the best part, but it may have been. The chicken sandwich special was outstanding, the cheese fries were exactly the kind of bad decision that makes you proud of yourself, and the pulled pork bahn mi was really, really good. I would go back for the food alone, which is not something I expected to say about a beer garden. Overall, Covington Beer Garden is a very good spot. Cool venue, friendly staff, fun drinks, and better food than it probably needs to have. I wish the beer list was a little more expansive, but that is really my only complaint. I will definitely be back.

We arrived on a Friday night without reservations and waited about 30-40 minutes for a table. First, we got a drink by the bar and stood around. Then when seats opened up at the bar, we sat there and ordered two appetizers. Before ordering, I asked one of the bartenders if something was gluten free and she came back with a sheet of paper labeled GLUTEN listing about 25-30 things that were gluten free such as dressings, jambalaya, and egg rolls (which we found out later they are NOT gluten free). I have a picture but I won't share it so that no one is deceived. A few minutes after ordering, we were buzzed that we had moved up the waiting list and to check in. My husband checked in and came to tell me to go to the hostess stand because they are ready to seat us. He went to let the bartender know to send our two appetizers to our table. When I got to the hostess stand, the hostess said that we already had been seated and to just walk upstairs. Even after I explained we had not gotten seated yet because my husband had just checked in, she instructed my party to simply head upstairs and just turn right. We walked upstairs and found a table we assumed we should sit ate. Then when my husband arrived, he went to look for menus because we didn't have any. Ava came by to greet us as our two appetizers of Sauteed Crab Claws and Boudin Egg Rolls arrived. Ava was really friendly and personable. I was so happy the sheet had indicated they are gluten free. I ate half an egg roll and started to suspect it was not gluten free. I flagged down Ava and asked and she said she was pretty sure they were not gluten free. Ava came back to apologize that the egg rolls had been changed and were no longer gluten free, and then are gave me an updated "2026 Gluten-Free Allergy Menu" with a subheader "All items listed are SAFE for you to eat." The egg rolls were no longer listed. For my entree, I ordered the Charbroiled Catfish served over spinach. It came with a salad and apparently a side. I thought my spinach was the side so I didn't ask about my side options and Ava didn't ask me what I wanted as a side. I had a side mixed green salad with no croutons. Surprisingly, everyone's side mixed green salad looked different when they arrived. Mine had croutons. Another had cheese on their mixed greens while another person was served iceberg lettuce. It was very strange. My catfish arrived with French Fries which are not gluten free. I flagged down another waitress who had checked in on us earlier to explain that I wasn't offered a side and that I couldn't eat the French Fries. I asked for cooked veggies and she brought me cauliflower. I thoroughly enjoyed my catfish and cauliflower. Others are the table had the Seafood Lasagna, Seafood Pasta, Charbroiled Oysters, and Crawfish Etouffee. Everyone liked their dishes. The portions are really big. The meal would've been much better if they were better trained on how to handle food allergies. And what the hostess did was not customer friendly at all. We learned from the second server that Ava was in training. Ava did a good job as she was really friendly, attentive, and seemed to genuinely care. I don't think she understood what a gluten allergy was but she followed up when asked to check on the egg rolls.
