She helped with our decision making and helped us tailor our choices. We ordered wings a burger a taco plate and drinks. The fries were good but got cold quickly which is expected with shoestring fries. We came in about 1.5 hours before closing and there wasn't anyone else dining. Which meant we got our food in no time. The young woman in the FOH was so kind and helpful. This is such a laid back casual place to grab a bite to eat and the location is awesome. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were so darn good. I really enjoyed the shrimp taco but the catfish taco left a lot of be desired. The clucker sammy was pretty bland but the portion was great. We would absolutely return just to grab a few drinks eat a bunch of fries and enjoy whatever game is on. read more

We tried this place on Labor Day weekend, so it wasn't too busy. It has a fun atmosphere, beachy, and pretty much all outdoor. There are colorful chairs and tables and menus as well. It put me in the frame of mind of Key West. There is even a little sandlot for kiddos. The workers were friendly and efficient. The prices were not bad. The whole area is covered, shaded on those hot summer nights. We ordered food and in order-to-order drinks, you have to order them from the bar area on the opposite end of the bar. We got tacos and burgers. The drink was a watermelon cocktail. Everything was just mediocre unfortunately. I didn't think the tacos had good flavor, no wow factor. The drink was a bit watered down and the burger was just Ok, sort of bland, too. I think of all the places we tried while visiting the Northshore area, this may have been our least favorite. Kelly's is a great place for a beer, burger, tacos, and fries. Located only a few blocks from the Lake, Kelly's is a casually themed restaurant/bar that has great food. Years ago, this used to be the Beach House but I think I like Kelly's better. Since it is in my neighborhood, I can see myself becoming a regular. If you are in the area, here are some recommendations: Tacos - Their offerings are solid. I would rate them as one of the top three taco joints that I have tried on the Northshore. One of the things that sets Kelly's apart from other places is consistency. Where I have had great tacos one day and poor tacos the next at other spots, Kelly's has always been good. Burgers - Very good. I would prefer a thicker patty but this is a damn good burger, especially when paired with an ice-cold beer. Fries - If you listen to anything in this review, listen to this part. Get the fries. In particular, get the Birria fries or the Miami fries with pulled pork. They are excellent and one of my favorite fries on the Northshore. I think Pontchartrain's gravy fries beat them out but these are so different but also so great. Get them. If you find yourself in Old Mandeville, add Kelly's to your list. read more

My family and I went on a beautiful weekend and it was wonderful. My boys loved the sandbox and we loved that they were entertained until the food arrived. My husband ordered the bbq pork tacos, but I had to eat them because he missed that they had crispy onions and he has a peanut allergy. He loved the smash burger and I enjoyed the pro tacos. Our friend ordered the zucchini fries and they were also delicious. The only downside was that the food took a while to arrive but it was such a gorgeous day, we didn't mind. read more

Stopped in here for the first time today while out with the wife in Mandeville. Instantly loved the casual, outdoorsy vibe we got from the open but covered patio/dining area. There are plenty of ceiling fans which provide a nice breeze to keep you cool on hot days while you enjoy your drink or meal. We tried a few of the tacos and they were all delicious. Personally, my favorite was the shrimp taco but the birria was a close second. There's a full bar and a nice selection of both domestic and imported beer, and several seasonal cocktails from which to choose. Looking forward to our next visit. read more

Great atmosphere and great burgers! I gave it a 4 Star only because the burgers were very small. $20 for a burger, Fries and Fountain drink plus 15% tip. Not sure why I tipped cause there was no service other than taking an order and bringing it out. I had to bus my own table so sometimes I feel a tip should not be asked for. Would I return? I'd been wanting to try this place for a long time and we finally did. The burger was delicious but the fries tasted like they'd given me yesterday's fries. Looking at pictures of everyone else's fries on this app, mine was most certainly double fried at some point because they were VERY dark but ice cold. I can get past being double fried to rewarm them, but they were also cold. We went for dinner, and I'm certain they were leftover from lunch service. Traveling from Florida to Texas we found this treasure not far off our route. I had read another review complaining about the pickles being "too thick". In my opinion, there is no such thing as a"too thick" pickle. As a pickle lover. I had to go off course to try the pickles. I am so glad I did. The burger and fries were absolutely amazing and the thick pickles to me were the BEST past. The town is quaint and picturesque. Nice casual outdoor restaurant with a nice vibe. We got a burger and chicken wrap and split the fries. We both agreed the fries were cooked perfectly. My burger was very good but a tad small. The wife's chicken wrap was tasty but there was not as much chicken as she would have liked. The food was quite a bit more expensive than that place down the street since fries aren't included with the burger. No napkins are on the tables and condiments are in those plastic packets. Well where do I start.... I loved the Beach House and their menu. This new menu just doesn't cut it. I ordered Birrira tacos and a Luau taco and yes they were very good, but way too small and 4.50 a piece! Everything is now A La Carte so you end up spending more money that way. I hate ordering at the counter. It's too much pressure right off the bat. I prefer to sit and relax and look over the menu. If you want a drink you have to walk down to the end of the bar and order that. So you are doing two transactions. Very inconvenient. The food did come out fast. But if I wanted more then I would have to get up and go order again at the bar. The whole vibe has changed, geared more to the younger peeps. Been in Mandeville since 1973 and I'm sorry I won't be back there to eat. Best of luck though. read more

When I first arrived, I was not really impressed. When me and my friends decided to grab lunch on our way home from Bay St. Louis, MS, we were wanting to go to The Beach House. When we arrived, we were confused because the directions brought us to a place called Kelly's. Not a big fan of ordered at the counter then sit-down style places. I always feel rushed, but we decided to give it a go. We like to try a variety of foods, so we ordered the Buffalo Chicken fries, Patty Melt and a mix of tacos. We were then told we would have to go over to the bar area to order drinks. There weren't many people there at that time, but the bartender seemed to be struggling. The manager "Dave" stepped in and grabbed our order. When I didn't like the drink I got, he gladly made me something different. Throughout our meal, he checked on us multiple times. All the food was really good. The patty melt was by far the best I had ever had. On the tacos (we got the shrimp, mahi-mahi and the BBQ), the shrimp was great, mahi-mahi was okay, but the fish really had no seasoning, and the BBQ was really good. We told Dave that the fish would probably have been better if it was blackened, and he immediately went and had the cook make us new tacos with blackened mahi. I would recommend this definitely. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was nice with football on the tv, pet friendly and there's even an area for kids to play. We were getting ready to leave and Dave was offering free ice cream to all the kids. Dave made sure we had a great experience. Same great casual and kid-friendly atmosphere as The Beach House, but the food has significantly improved! They've adopted a smaller menu, counter service, and self-serve drinks/condiments. There are a lot of great vegan options - the vegan burger is insanely good. I know it's probably not their most popular item, but I hope they keep it because it is so hard to find any vegan food in Mandeville! The enclosed sand pit gives my toddler a fun and safe space to play while my husband and I enjoy our food. This will be a great spot to have a meal or even just come for drinks/ice cream. read more
