In an experience that mimics my previous review, but this time with the eye rolling Dymond S. who would not utter a word to me despite my attempt at pleasantries - yet she would stop the transaction to say hello and see how someone (who was obviously a friend) was doing whilst the friend was walking out the door. Then immediately back to ignoring me. She then proceeded to throw my Veuve Clicquot into the same bag as the Tiger Sauce - with nothing but a small paper bag to contain the shards should they have busted against one another. And then without a word or even eye contact, held my receipt out for me to take. What is wrong with this location that their cashiers can't just be decent human beings and employ basic kindness to customers? We're not asking for a parade or to be fawned over, a simple response to a kind hello would suffice. But you choose to be nasty, without provocation, and I just cannot understand why.

All of the selections are sealed, not damaged, and brand new. They offer wine, liquor, beer, and mixers. You never know what you are going to find because they never know what is coming in. Wine is offered by the bottle or case. You cannot beat the prices. Most bottles of wine are between $3 to $10. I have found some gems in the rough here but most selections are average. This is a great place to go if you are stocking up for a party. Cheers!

Being a native New Orleanian from Orleans parish & spending almost my entire life in New Orleans (Orleans parish proper) strip malls are a foreign concept.( At least the very large strip malls are. ) Metairie, jefferson, Kenner & the West Bank areas all have some larger strip malls. In uptown New Orleans the closest thing to a strip mall was Riverbend restaurant(1974-1987) (which became an Eckerd's then a Walgreens), Gennaro's Cleaners(before it became Gennaro Luke & Son) & Hibernia bank on Carrollton ave. In any case, I really do feel like driving into (hidden from view/ no signage on the street) strip malls is fun! You never know what little gem you might find. I discovered the North Shore Mandina's this way! What was I talking about? AAH yes, the whole reason I'm typing: Back to reviewing a liquor & smokes store: Town Crier on Hwy. 22 in the strip mall where Walgreen's & Rouse's are located. I like this place for the following reasons: - Ample parking in front - great if your in a hurry & just need a bottle of wine &/or alcohol - Competitive prices - Staff at all locations I've stopped in have been friendly ( hwy 59/ 190 by little Wal-Mart This is what it is. Josh was SUPER helpful in helping me locate an alternate for my original request, which went over swimmingly. And everyone else was super sweet and all smiles. Very clean, organized, and well stocked (mostly - my demi sec being the exception ).
