Based on the major misdiagnosis, I requested a refund under their advertised 100% satisfaction guarantee. Communication was slow, and I was made to feel like the video proof I provided from the second company was insufficient (even though it was time stamped, dated, and I shared the invoice summary). I initially received only a partial refund. After multiple follow-ups and escalation to ownership, I was ultimately refunded in full. I'm sharing this so others (especially first time homeowners) understand the importance of getting a second opinion before approving major excavation or high-cost repairs. A small leak under the kitchen sink I was told there would be a $200+ service charge--regardless of whether any work was completed. That should have been my first red flag. When the technician, Eric, arrived, it quickly became clear that he did not know what he was doing. Not only did he fail to resolve any of the issues, but he also managed to make the situation worse. As for the simple task of replacing a drain stopper, I was told it would require an entirely separate visit. Seriously? This is unacceptable. I paid for a service and received nothing of value in return. There was no resolution, no professionalism, and certainly no reason to justify the cost. If you want something done right....do it yourself!…read more Paid Erickson Septic Service $1700 to put in a new lift station pump a little over a year ago. After the tech left, I plugged in my old pump to troubleshoot it. Turned out my pump wasn't even bad! It worked just fine! The only problem was the electrical connection in the sump hole. Fast forward to today. Circuit breaker tripped and wouldn't reset. I removed the lid and pumped the water out to find the plug was water logged and shorted out. The problem is, since it is below ground, they were supposed to put it in a waterproof box! I called Erickson to give them the chance to correct the inferior plug installation and they told me they didn't want the chance and pretty much tough luck. So, I paid $1700 for a pump I didn't need and a bad plug installation that failed. Way to go Erickson! I guess I will fix your mistake now.
