This was supposed to be a very positive review, because they seemed honest and they didn't mind me meticulously going over the price of the move. Wow was I wrong! My boyfriend and I paid for 3 hours worth of moving help from this company. I made sure that that was the price they would charge us and not a penny more! They placed an extra 50 dollar charge on the credit card along with the 230 dollar charge, which I inquired about. The man I was working with over the phone informed me that the 50 dollars would fall off after the move, and that the only amount I would be paying would be the 230 dollars we agreed upon. I told my parents the exact amount of hours I had paid for. My parents went over the moving time by a half an hour. They paid the difference after the move was done, which was $85 dollars. I checked the statements on Sunday and I noticed the 50 dollar charge had not fallen off. I called the company and talked to someone named Chi-Chi, who courteously informed me that she would look into it and call us back. She calls us back on Monday and tells me that the 50 dollars that was supposed to fall off was used to pay off what was left because my parents went over the hours. I informed her that they had paid the difference, and there shouldn't be any other charges left. That 50 dollars is supposed to come back to us. She vehemently refused to process a refund for the 50 dollar charge and even went as far as threatening to take my parents to court to retrieve the fraudulent charge if we were forced to process a chargeback. I am extremely disappointed, because I trusted this company with my family and they clearly took advantage of the situation. I knew that they were a small business and I was happy to support their business and even let people know about their excellent customer service. Now I know it was all a disguise. We will not be working with them again, we do not recommend them in the future, and we will be contacting our credit card company to resolve this issue. read more

These guys have helped my company move furniture around the office for years, so when it came time for my family to move out of our apartment, we opted to give these folks a shot. They were quick, they were SUPER affordable, and they were efficient. Granted, they cut me a deal since they work with my office, but wow. They made our lives so much easier for an in-town move. In less than three hours, two guys managed to move all of the big furniture out of our two-bedroom apartment, schlep it across town, and get it situated in the new place. And they did all this for under $300. No kidding. I'd highly recommend them to anyone. read more

This is my second time using Able Moving and handy service and they have done a wonderful job each time! They are reliable, respectful, and flexible. They are very timely in their responses. My most recent move I procrastinated and they swooped in and saved the day with only 3 days notice! Their rates are almost unbeatable, but that doesn't mean they don't work hard and quick. Both times I have used them they have shown up on time or early ready to work which is extremely appreciated. They charge an hourly rate but they don't work slower just to get more money, they really do work as hard, safely, and swiftly as they can to ensure their customers get the best rates. There were no hidden fees and the estimate they gave me was the amount I payed. All of the workers that had helped me had great integrity and work ethic. They placed everything exactly where I wanted it to ensure I was all set when they left. Lateef made sure that I was completely satisfied and didn't need anything else before leaving. Just used these guys to help us move. Perry and his crew were on point through out. They were careful with my stuff, worked quick, and made it a good experience. Have used other companies before and sure as hell paid a lot more, but will for sure call these boys next time. These guys are rockstars! We called last minute for help during our move. They showed up within a couple hours on the same day of us calling! The crew was super energetic, polite, helpful, and kind. I initially didn't want to hire a moving crew because I've had some negative experiences with other companies in the past. But, I'm really glad that I gave in and asked for help the last minute. We used Able movers this past week and had a great experience with Cedric, Eugene (G), Louis, and EJ! They were fantastic! So professional... And talk about stamina! These guys unloaded a 27ft, 20ft and 17ft truck in less than 5 hours... And they were packed to the rim! They wouldn't let me lift a finger. However, this review is for the team listed above! TOP NOTCH! There were a few minor bumps on some pieces but the owner, Andrew, called me immediately to remedy the situation. He had Cedric out the next day to take a look. My fence blew down in a wind storm. I called and they sent somebody over the very next day. Wow, that was fast. They replaced some posts and many pickets and by the end of the day my fence was just as it was before. Great speedy service. read more

I have used Able Moving-Handyman Services a couple of times and could not have been more happy with their service. Most recently, I moved from my own three bedroom house in with my fiance. There was a minor mishap in the beginning when, instead of three movers and one large truck, they sent four movers and two small trucks. I was initially alarmed that this would change the agreed upon move price tremendously, but they only charged $5 more per hour (with no additional trip fee). My thought was, wow, with four guys the move should take much less time than with three, so overall it will be a better deal. I was happy to pay that additional $5 per hour. And, I imagine they finished about an hour earlier than they otherwise would have. The four guys took great care in loading up the truck, wrapping all of my furniture and unloading it expertly. They were almost able to move all of my belongings in one small truck, but did put a few things into the second truck. They were quick, polite, respectful of my belongings, and diligent about avoiding damage to property. In the new home they moved furniture and heavy book boxes up a flight of stairs and they helped us by hanging my large screen television above the fireplace and moving a refrigerator into the garage. They completed the entire move in less than four hours (with about one hour of that being the drive from one house to the other). Their prices were significantly lower than other moving companies I had priced, and I was very happy with the service. I ended up hiring them a couple of days later to go back to my old house and clean (my least favorite part of moving!). Okay, so I had a sectional couch I needed to move from my parents house to my apartment located about 8 miles apart. I did give the heads up that the couch was a 10 by 10 foot couch with a sleeper. They assured me that the movers they had were experts. I also informed them that my parents (where the couch was to be moved from) were not to assist the move or be stressed in any way (they drove 2 hours to Aurora to be there for movers). I could not be there as I was at work. So, I did receive a call saying that they were in route to my Mothers location to pick up couch. Two hours later, my mother called me to say that the movers were on their way to deliver couch but they only had two thirds of the couch with them. I called the customer service line to ask what was going on and why they were only moving a portion of the couch. The customer service called movers and called me back stating that the corner piece had to be disassembled which would cost me more. WHAT??? Why wasn't I informed in the first place that they didn't have the whole couch before they were in route to my condo? So finally, the movers arrived and I was delivered a sectional couch without the main connecting piece. I called again and spoke to the owner who said that I was "lucky to get the price quote I did". After 10 minutes of threatening to report them to BBB, did the owner take $50 off price, after he tried to have me settle for a $10 off price. Then I found out the movers had damaged the walls and railings in my mothers house. This was one of the worst experiences I have EVER had with a hired services company. I am writing this review to warn potential customers...they may be a few bucks cheaper than other movers, but they are incompetent. They need to switch their company name from Able Movers to Unable Movers. read more

WARNING!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS MOVER!! UNINSURED! FLY BY NIGHT! They will tell you everything that you want to hear to get your business! They did a move for us from Colorado to Arizona. Once they arrived in Arizona the damages were huge! They assured me and my wife that they were insured and would take care of it....... that was four long months ago! Now they are claiming NO responsibility for the damages! We have been in mediation with the Denver BBB and are getting nowhere! It is excuss after excuss from this UNPROFESSIONAL and SHADY company! I contacted the D.O.T. and they informed me that they have NO authority AT ALL to do household goods moving! My advise to any sucker that hires this company..... DO NOT sign that bill at the end if you have ANY damage at all... the crew leader will tell you the company will take care of it... but they DONT! They got paid why should they care if your unhappy!!! Maybe if your furniture is on its way to the goodwill hire them otherwise pizza and beer for your friends is a way better idea! This company should NOT be in the business of moving peoples belongings!! read more

If there was a no-star button or a minus-star button that is what they would get. Do not use this company they are an unreliable disaster. I reached them via Elite Moving Labor (don't use them either as they are just a middle man despite their name) and paid a deposit to have a moving truck unloaded into my new apartment last Saturday (Labor Day weekend). The day before I called them to make sure they had the correct address and all was cool except that the the person I spoke to tried to up the agreed price on me (?). On the day of the move the time for Able Movers to arrive came and went. I called, couldn't reach anyone on the main number and the message box was full. Finally reached someone who worked for the company and in addition to chastising me for calling her during her lunch (?) she strung we along all day long saying contrary statements. End result? No moving company to unload the truck which is just about the worst thing that can happen on a move. Needless so say, with all the other things going on during a move, I didn't need the kind the kind of stress that comes from being left in the lurch by the moving company.
