I can't even begin to say how amazing the guys at Ritenour Moving Services are. They busted their butts all day for us. They didn't milk the clock, they hustled, took MAYBE two 10 minute breaks and they all had smiles on their faces the entire time while they lifted and moved our heavy furniture and boxes. They were early and got right to work. They didn't just want to get the minimum done, they were willing to go above and beyond for us. With my foot in a walking boot and my husband throwing out his back we couldn't have done this move without them. Thank you gentleman!!! We hired Ritenous Moving to unpack an ABF trailer that had been sitting in storage for 9 months. To be honest, I was nervous about the process because we had one crew packing it at our old house, another crew physically moving and storing the trailer, and a third crew (Ritenour) unloading and unpacking. I did a bit of research on Ritenour early on, and unfortunately had to delay and reschedule until a few months later. At that point, I went online to refresh myself and found several negative reviews. I didn't want to write off the company that had been so helpful scheduling and talking through the logistics of our move, so I called Eugene and asked him directly about the negative reviews. He explained all the situations, was never defensive, and left me feeling reassured and confident, so we decided to move forward. Everything went smoothy on the move-in day, the crew arrived on time, and there were no problems. The price was also good (plus cash discount). Highly recommended, for jobs big and small. And if you have any concerns about negative reviews, you owe it to Ritenour (and any other small business) to hear about it firsthand before making a decision. read more

Used these guys for a short-notice move. It was the second move in a week I had to do. I tried using my other movers but they were not available for almost 2 weeks. I called these guys the day before I wanted to move, on a holiday weekend, and they were able to accommodate. They price was very reasonable. It was a late start, around 4 or 5pm and they finished around 10 or 11. They had already been working all day so I commend them for getting it done. There was a small issue with my bed that was resolved and one issue I found after a week that was covered up. Wasn't really happy that it was hidden but it was something that was somewhat easy to correct. Also, they couldn't fit everything in their small truck and I had to use my personal truck for a full load. We have a lot of stuff for a 1 bed apartment but I was very upfront about that. They are definitely a "work harder, not smarter" type of place. I've used other movers that have furniture straps, dollies, etc. These guys used brute force and I was very tense at times. I suggested they use their dollies and they said that the awkward style they carry multiple boxes on their backs was faster. Maybe so, but our stuff is important to us and the method probably isn't the safest for them. I have a very strong suspicion at least one of the guys was taking full advantage of the new Colorado "green" law which I was not totally excited about (mostly for their safety) but they are not the first movers I've had that issue with. Considering everything, would I use them again? Maybe. Not terrible, not great, but they got me taken care of in a bind. For that I give them an extra star. read more

They were helpful, friendly, professional, honest and fun. We needed help moving our entire apartment and a piano across Denver. Titan and Kevin showed up exactly on time and got to work immediately on the piano. After they left, our rental truck was packed amazingly. We also used them to move into our new place the following afternoon. I received a call about 45 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive to let me know they were running late and when they would arrive. It was perfect because we were running behind, too. When they got here, they stayed the extra 30 minutes to make up the difference. Even if you don't have a Groupon, I recommend Ritenour Moving. I felt, either way, I would have gotten a wonderful deal. P.S. He might not want me to tell you this :-) but he even moved my piano into the *new* place without the extra charge. read more

Titan and his crew were super responsive, incredibly patient, and hustled to move my belongings from two separate locations in under 3 hours! Once everything was put in place, they assembled my queen size bed frame and mattress/box spring without breaking a sweat. Although typically a stressful kind of day for me, I even asked how much it would to have someone come back and assemble the rest of my furniture for me. Titan, Romano and company moved us completely out of our house one day, and completely into our house the next day. We had to be out of our old house before closing, which made the move stressful. Chuck completed the 3 man moving out crew and they took good care of our ridiculously heavy furniture. We ended up having to rent 46 linear feet of truck (26' and 20'). Titan and his team were up to the task of loading everything up, despite a sudden micro-burst at the tail end of the endeavor. Titan came close to shoving all of our crap into one 26' truck. He packed it very well, very safe and very securely. If it wasn't for backyard grill and furniture, we may have made it in one. When it became clear we did not fit in one truck, he curtailed his master packing algorithm and left room in the first truck and started in on the 2nd truck with the same algorithm. This was a big eye opener for me. I can pack a truck, but not with the efficiency Titan showed. The move in was smoother, for us the clients at least. :) He had a 3 person crew, and 99% of everything made it to where it should have been; the stray peice that went up instead of down can be chalked up to miscommunication and exhaustion on our end. They didn't easily tire, nor did they take unnecessary breaks. Romano picked up a 4' long cast iron bench with one arm that I could not have done with 2 arms in my prime (I was never a body builder, but I could move some iron at one point in time). The dude was just showing off at that point, and it was 4 hours into the 2nd day of our move. :) I don't hesitate in recommending them. I was a bit anxious on the 2nd day as they had booked a move in the morning, which bled into the afternoon and made them start on our house a bit late. But we had no firm close time on our house, so I can't blame them for taking work when we had no firm committal time. They showed up, did the work, and did it very well without complaint. After 2 stressful days of closing and chauffeuring pets to family members' house, the physical moving out/in process ended up being the least of our worries. read more

I would not recommend this company to anybody. We had a move a week out and I saw this company on groupon. I called the company and left a message for Titan to contact me to see if they have my moving date available for just an unloading of a truck. I just needed two guys for two hours to unload. I was contacted by Titan who tried to give me every reason why I may not want to go with them because they had some hidden fees. I told him what I needed and he agreed that they had the date open and would have a two man crew at my house for the unload. He even told me to text him the info and everything for the move which I did. He even told me to not go through groupon because they take a percentage so I went straight through him. Moving request from MM 2 movers for 2 hours on January 11, 2016 at 3pm Only need unload of 26' truck at new address of: Please let me know if you have any other questions He replies: Yes we're good I can call you tomorrow to touch base when is a good time sir So he calls me and confirms that we were good for the date and time I requested. So closing/moving day comes and I get a text, not a call, a text saying: Sir we will be running behind our first move is taking longer then expected any chance we could reschedule you for tomorrow morning? I replied: How far behind are you? He tells me: It's looking like we won't be able to get to you until about 7pm We can still do it but I'd prefer to set up for the morning if possible Me: Well I'm not very happy about this. Is there a discount for that? Him: I'll do 10% We aren't making pizzas If you can find someone else do so Or we can move you in the morning Me: Ok if you can be here at 7 that's fine I only have the truck today so we need this done today Him: We are just unloading right?? Booked 2 moves with this company and the first one went ok. The guys were an hour late they said because of weather and traffic which I understood. They completed the work in the time I said it would take but one of the guys was new and did not really seem physically fit for the demands of moving furniture etc. they did bump multiple times into the wall with some things "which I also understood as we were unloading in the dark" and they did not take a lot of care on the carpets as there was snow outside. Overall I would give that move a 3 star rating. I have used a lot of other companies that have 5 star service (around the clock movers and Vosco for example). The reason I gave them 1 star is because the second move did not even happen. When I booked it they said the could do it but it would need to be at 6am. I said ok as it was my weekend to move and I wanted to get it done. I was up at 6:00 and by 6:30 had not heard from them so I called them. The contact texted me back saying this "if we do your unload today it will have to be after my second move. which means that we won't make it to you until around 5or6 tonight" then nothing... Luckily another company was available to do the move. Pretty unprofessional. If you can't do the job then just tell me no so I am not unconvinced and scrambling to find someone else to do the work at 8am on a Sunday. Fail... read more

Mr Ritenour talked a big game about being careful with furniture, but after my move I found that the table I specifically asked his movers to be careful with had 3 huge scratches in it. Furthermore, an antique side table is completely missing. I can only speculate as to whether they damaged it or just stole it. Movers were unprofessional in demeanor, smelled of marijuana and attempted to charge me for their lunch hour (which was really an hour and a half). I'd skip these guys!! read more

I received a call from the owner about an hour before the movers were supposed to arrive asking the price that I was quoted, with a follow up text asking what type of items we have and if all of the boxes were together in the detached garage. Then, we received a text message from Kevin 10 minutes before the movers were supposed to arrive telling us that they are cancelling. After I tried multiple phone numbers multiple times with no response and calls forwarded to a voicemail that was not set up, my roommate called the main number and left a message where she received a text back saying "You will have to use another company". After responding to the text message we received a response "f**k you". This is disgusting and completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I would not ever rely on or trust this company to move your home or items. read more

So I 'hired' Ritenour to help move our stuff out of a moving truck and into the garage of our new home (we couldn't move into the house yet, since we're redoing the floors). I actually purchased a Groupon for their services, and called to set up the move. We were in a bind. We needed to get everything out of the truck by the end of the next day and we were thrilled when we learned Ritenour could help on short notice. We agreed on a time, but the guy I was talking to didn't have a pen and paper handy, so he asked if I could text him the address that we'll be moving into, which I did immediately following the call. To my knowledge, everything was booked and we had a good moving company coming to help us. The following day, after an hour had passed the time that we had scheduled, Ritenour still hadn't shown up, nor had they called or texted to tell us that they were running late. I called them and the guy was immediately rude. He said he never received a text from me (it may have been a different guy that I talked to, but it was the same phone number, so I doubt it). I tried to explain to him that we did talk, I have the phone records to prove it, and that I did text him and that I have the text records to prove that as well. Further, we had discussed (the day before) the fact that I had bought a Groupon for his services, and that he had assured me that they could and would help us, despite it being such a small window for our move. At this point, I'm panicking because we need help, right now, and this guy was proving the opposite of that. He continued to be rude and condescending, and I lost my temper, told him I'm going to write a nasty review, and hung up on him. He immediately called back, and I sent him to voicemail. In his voicemail, he called me a liar three times, used 14 profanities including 'f**k' 11 times, and actually threatened to post my info online if I wrote a review of his business. Needless to say, I do not recommend Ritenour. 'Just reading through earlier reviews, since several other people have had similar experiences, there's no assurance that this company will follow through on an appointment, not to mention the fact that the owner is incredibly unprofessional. If he had simply apologized for not being able to keep our appointment, or as he had said, simply been gracious in explaining that he, for whatever reason, didn't see or receive my text- essentially adopting a more professional and humble posture, I would have been disappointed and maybe a little peeved, but I would have understood. Things happen; we've all been there. It would have still put us in a predicament, but at least I wouldn't have to absorb the further stress of dealing with an obtuse, unhelpful, and (as evidenced by the voicemail) nasty moving company owner. In the end, everything worked out. Two new neighbors, a neighbor from our old neighborhood, and a lot of people from our church came and helped at the last minute, and we were able to get everything out of the truck on time! read more

They made sure everything got done, were way more than fair with the pricing, were respectful with my stuff, and were just super nice about it every time! I bought a WeeklyPlus.com certificate from Ritenour "Moving" Services for "Two Hours of Professional Moving Services with a Two-Man Crew". I called Eugene to schedule his services for our moving date of 02/03/2013 and confirmed that day after 5pm, because he wouldn't be available until that time. I confirmed this move date at least one other time. 4:15 on 02/03/2013, I had to call Eugene to find out he was not going to show up AT ALL that night. He offered to come the next day after 5pm, which was not acceptable since that was not our agreement. Yesterday, 02/09/2013, I wrote on their Facebook page that the deal was a "joke" and that they didn't follow through. Eugene then said he had no idea who I even was, which made me think he had probably never taken my information down in the 1st place. He then continued to fire at me on Facebook by using offensive and unprofessional lanuage, with profanity. He also called me and left a voicemail threatening to sue me for defamation of character. I only told him the truth that I was disappointed in the lack of service and courtesy I was not given. I later got a phone call from one of his employees apologizing because Eugene might have had "more than a few drinks". That does NOT excuse his foul behavior and comments. My word of caution, is buyer beware and if you feel like you are getting the run around, you probably are. My guess is Eugene will probably delete this post, say it is a bogus review or go the low road and post my personal information. It's too bad I can't give them 0 stars... read more

My sister and I hired Ritenour Moving twice now and on both occasions they arrived on time, tolerated with good cheer changes, and went above and beyond. We needed to move furniture from our mother's home to two destinations and later from the assisted living facility. This is a great company. I have moved my household goods or business office on many occasions using a lot of different movers and this company is the best by far. The prices are very reasonable but the level of care is better or equal to the most expensive national brands. read more

These guys are amazing. For my move Eugene sent out Chris and his team and they rocked it! Very professional, high level of communication, great pricing, lightening fast. I was super impressed that they wrapped EVERYTHING. They even took more than I was expecting because they had a truck with extra room saving me probably 6 trips I would have had to make on my own. They were patient when on the delivery end we had to scramble to find places for some of the stuff. Glad I found these guys. They also did my mom and dad's move and moved my aunt and we plan on using them in future. Totally worth the money. I have recommended them to friends as well. They were very polite and respectful, patient with changing circumstances, cautious with our belongings, and kept their humor throughout. We could not have had a better moving experience. By far the best experience with movers ever. They were fast and packed the truck with care. They loaded our truck in about 4 hours and when we got to our destination the unloading movers took almost 7 hours. They don't milk the clock. They get it done quickly. Ritenour lost a large box of mine--one too large to go missing easily--that was full of expensive cooking and baking equipment and a very nice leather dining chair of mine. They also damaged my dresser during the moving process, and it is now falling apart, so much so that it's no longer functional. In addition to the $240 I paid them, they've cost me close to $500 in losses. Worse, when I was corresponding with Eugene about the items he lost, he offered a lame apology but told me that he liked my smile and thought I was "hot a 10 :)" Despicable. read more

I have to say that this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had with any type of company. I hired Ritenour to move me from my old apartment to my new house. The move was scheduled for Saturday at 4pm. Due to my lease being up, I needed to be out that day. 30 min prior to scheduled pick up I get a call saying their previous job is taking longer than expected and it will now be 6 or 6:30. Bummer, but not the end of the world. At 6:39pm I get a text from someone that says "we are enroute...30 min". at 7:37 I get another text that he had to pick up another worker. Said he would be there in 15 min. 10 min later he cancels on me. He offered a reduced rate and waive gas fees. The problem is that I have to be out of my building. Call my landlord and get an OK to move the next day. So Sunday comes and he originally said 2pm. I texted him at 9:30am to confirm. Get a call from a different guy saying 4pm is the best they can do. 4pm turns into 6pm. Which turns into 7:30. Which turns into 9:30....on a Sunday night. The one good thing I can say is that Jeff, the second guy who called me, actually came. I am sure they didnt want to start a job at 9:30pm, but they did. Much more than I can say for whoever the person was who just quit on Saturday night. Overall, Jeff was a decent guy and I felt bad for him and the other guy that they were even put in this spot. Either way, the move went pretty slow. I had a 1.5 bedroom apartment with 0 boxes because I had moved all that myself. The only stuff left was the big furniture and a few random things like lamps. During the moved my television stand was cracked. The whole ordeal took 4.5 hours. They left my house at 2am. I have to be at work at 6am. Jeff was a nice guy. But overall, this company is not worth hiring. I read a bunch of good reviews, but apparently didn't read far enough. read more

Do not hire this company. Our piano move ended with us having to call a sheriff to our home - if that doesn't say enough. This person - Eugene Ritenour or Ian (he gave us different names) had a bad attitude on arrival and started our meeting with "we appreciate tips" - not hello, not how are you, not even a handshake or introduction. Then he continued on with the damage this piano would cause our floors, what terrible condition the piano was in, went over his insurance policy (which made no sense) stating that the piano wasn't worth sixty cents, and how if he or his hired contractor were injured bringing it in the house they would expect our insurance to cover medical bills minus the deductable - he would cover that(?) - if the floors were damaged it was not something he would cover either and they WOULD be damaged - he was guaranteeing that. When I started to reconsider the move into the house because of his obvious incompetence, and his terrible attitude, I asked him if he had moved a piano before. This is when he became confrontational, threatened to "dump" the piano in the street, and sue me for non-payment. He used foul language, scared my children to death (both in tears at this point) calling me vulgar names in front of them, lurching at me, yelling in my home, and then stormed out and left the piano in our driveway. He also pretended to call 911, which my husband and I actually had to do later. In the beginning of this debacle Eugene told me that it made him "mad to have to do jobs for such a cheap rate". Which is ironic because he, himself - Eugene (I think) sent me the quote, and is the owner of the company. If Eugene Ritenour would've just admitted that they were not capabable of moving this piano, the day would've ended better for all. Because he was demanding payment and making threats I gave him half of what was due. He took it and left. This guy is abusive and unstable. Do not hire him. We had our piano moved today it took the new company we hired 10 mins no issues. read more

seems like a nice guy on the phone. i was in a jam and needed to move in 6 days. he had an opening. we scheduled a time for him to come over to do an estimate. He no showed and didnt get back to me for over an hour. I agreed to let him come back. that day he couldnt prove valid insurance to the building i moved to so i dropped him. i did not have a good experience with ritenour moving services. After referring someone to them for a 4 hr job before using them they tried to take advantage of me and left me moving half of my things alone third flr to third flr. I was quoted a price for 3 hrs and when they got there that changed to 6 hrs very unprofessional so budgetwise i only had enough for 3 hrs they agreed to take the big stuff and leave the little things. well... little things turned into 3 chevy blazer loads for me. After seeing me struggle they offered no other help got done 45 minutes early of the 3 hrs that i still had to pay them for and asked for a tip. I would not recommend these guys as they are just not on top of thier game or they enjoy taking advantage of single women. Not a good experience at all. read more

Titan and crew were a big help for us....we hired Ritenour Moving to pack and move my mother (recently widowed) to her new home at an assisted living facility. It was a mess for us and I asked that they just work with us as we went. Titan agreed and had the entire day cleared for us because he knew it might be so. They were easy to work with, did everything that they promised and were helpful with anything that came up as needed. A lot of work and stayed until the job was done. It took them roughly 3.5 hours to load, drive across town and unpack my whole apartment in 90+ degree temperature! We had Ritenour scheduled for a move. Signed a contract a few weeks out and they were scheduled to be there on a Thursday at 10:00AM. I called them the night before because I hadn't heard from them and got no reply. We called again the morning of the move and sent an email and got no reply. I hired this company because of the rave reviews of past clients. However, I was deeply disappointed with my experience. Loading my things went smoothly, but when they arrived at my apartment building things went downhill. One of the men was very negative, and complained several times about the stress of getting up to my apartment, letting out gasps with each trip up. I'll admit it was on the second floor and quite a walk down the hall, but if there were any doubts as to the distance they were to walk, they should have come checked out the property first. They said they would put carpet protectors down, but my carpets were a mess. My favorite sofas, which were moved cross country without so much as a scuff, are both permanently stained with dirt. Six of the 12 framed pictures I had carefully wrapped up had broken glass. Ten boxes were deeply dented or torn. My move was only 15 miles. One of the gentlemen was very polite and I tipped them well, but thinking back I really shouldn't have. read more
