They were playing this one show that for some reason I became invested in (Bab al Hara is the Syrian show name if you're curious) while eating there even though I know nothing of the language. the atmosphere of the restaurant feels something like visiting your family from abroad sort of thing. I've been waiting for this place to open for a while. It lights up beautifully at night. They are still in a soft opening and don't have the full menu available yet. I tried to come yesterday but there were so many people inside, every table was full, and there was a line outside. Glad I got to make it today and add them to Yelp. I ordered the Shawarma sandwich and the broasted fried chicken. Not sure why they call it "broasted"? I have been to many Syrian restaurants before, but never ordered the chicken. Worst food ever! I was hoping it was going to be good but my $20 worth of Gyro meat ended up being tiny little chips of extremely dry, zero-flavor chicken bits. The worst and nothing like gyro meat. I ordered and paid for Tsitziki sause but only got PLAIN SOUR CREAM. It's a simple space with a counter and a dining area. We were met with smiles and menus. I ordered the shawarma sandwich combo, and she got the 4 puece chicken. We enjoyed both to eat in.
