We were blown away by the breadth of selection for not only carpets and rugs, but all types of flooring, window treatments and textiles. This is one of the rare remaining non-chain places that clearly takes pride in both wide selection and customer service. We were greeted upon arriving by Paula, who was deftly handling a couple of other shoppers, and were thrilled she took the time to devote her attention to us so quickly. We came with room layouts with dimensions and a range for each room's rug type possibilities we'd already felt could work. Paula helped us zoom right in to both new roll and remnant possibilities quickly. We chose and sat down to work through the edge finishing options within minutes. The owner was circulating, answering questions, and we came to know that everyone around us had worked for him for a decade or more. Between the care taken by Paula and her teammates and the ease of the transaction, we confirmed how both the new roll and remnants would be cut and finished, and were connected with an excellent delivery service to bring our finished goods to the city. Not for a minute did we feel rushed or not completely looked after. Not only will the Carpetman see us again for both our East End and City-based needs, we've already urged others to go there who are in the market for rugs, flooring, window treatments and the like. Evan has been amazing in going out of his way to find us exactly what we need to fit our measurements at a price that we are happy to pay. Most recently I drove my 85 year old mother in from Old Westbury to replace a 42" built-in refrigerator. She was very specific in what she was looking for. I knew Evan would have the patience ad determination to find her exactly what she wanted. He was overly patient in going over the features and details and in answering her questions - sometimes repeatedly. He kept us informed of the manufacturing timeline and saw to it that the refrigerator was delivered ASAP, and on a day and time that worked well for her. I would also like to mention that the delivery team was amazing. They removed the old unit and installed the new unit to her satisfaction. They protected her hard wood floors and removed all the packaging debris. Needless to say, she was very happy with Evan and PC Richards. I highly recommend Evan and the Riverhead PC Richards store, they stand behind their merchandise, and are a pleasure to deal with.

He went & asked someone if there were any like that, & he returned to me with a no. I browsed & we chatted about my 14 yr old microwave that I love. I told him that I'll keep looking. Then I asked why don't they make them with the rack anymore? His response, "Because they're starting fires". I never show my element of surprise because ppl will always talk bs when you opt to listen. I couldn't believe he would spread such misinformation, which could lead to destroying a brand's reputation. I left the store, & decided to shop online. Disgusted by his comment. Some people just have to have an answer. That was not a smart answer, nor was it the truth. He needs to be retrained.

I needed an emergency leaf vacuum/mulcher, because my Black & Decker lost suction, and they had a Portland for $49. I asked whether people seemed happy with it, and the cashier said that they didn't get a lot of returns. So, I bought it, it's not as powerful as the B&D, but it weighs much less, too. Great prices on painting supplies, too. They carry a low-priced line called "Warrior." I have the heat gun, and it's great! Especially for $20 or so. They do carry Bauer, as well.

The closets were changed quickly and now they are functional. Both the initial designer and the manager provided excellent service and did their best to satisfy me as a client and for this reason, I recommend them.
