Went to "About the Ink" on the recommendation of a friend. The staff are very friendly and eager to answer any of my questions. Ashley took a design I sent her and made some adjustments and recommendations, it looked awesome. She explained every step in the process and was a delight to talk to. She is very humble and takes pride in her art. Looking forward to my next tattoo. They maybe 80 minutes travel for me but it is worth the trip. read more

Terrible experience, had me and my mother waiting for 1 hour before the artist asked for my design. On top of that, he left us waiting another hour after telling me the price. Once we finally made it to the artist chair, eagerly anticipating my first tattoo, I felt the process was a bit rushed. The artist tattooed inconsistent lines and shading. It was as if a toddler was learning to draw for the first time. I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I loved my experience at About The Ink! I was shopping around to find a place that I felt was best for me and as soon as I walk in, I knew About The Ink was for me. The people there are great and they really helped me and made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in. Then once I met Jason, I was blown away by his professionalism and willingness to work with me to create my tattoo and for a fair price at that! I was very comfortable going there and never felt nervous about my tattoo. He also uses lidocaine to numb which made my experience as pain free as it could be. Overall, very satisfied. read more

Very disappointed in "about the ink". I contacted the shop via Facebook Messenger, inquired about Ashley because her work looked flawless, I let them know that I had a tattoo in mind & I had it printed out, it didn't have to be exactly that way and that the artist can make any alterations that they wanted (it was an angel bent over with her face in her hands and I wanted a quote underneath). The shop responded that it would be best for me to come in for a consultation, they then gave me their hours of operation. So I drove the hour and 15 minutes, walk in and speak to the clerk , I explained I would like a consultation that I had contacted them via Facebook the day before, he asked me what I wanted, I tried to explain it to him. He then went to the back and was gone for maybe two minutes, walked back out and told me that the artist was not interested and doing my tattoo. I just stood there because I had just drove an hour and 15 minutes to speak with her, the least she could have done was come out and tell me that she didn't want to do it or at least say this is why I don't want to do it or maybe let me explain to her exactly what I want. I told the gentleman "I don't understand. what do you mean she isn't interested in my tattoo? is there a reason why" and he responded no "she just doesn't want to do it. I suggest you go down the street to Ink junkies or find another shop." So I left. I'm okay with her not wanting to do it, maybe it's not her thing, but I'm not okay with somebody being so rude as to not even give me one minute of their time to even listen to what it is that I wanted. This place definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and my husband was interested in getting a tattoo as well, one that they had up on the wall but they lost his business as well since they weren't even willing to speak with me.
