THEY DO NOT TAKE CARD SO GRAB CASH BEFORE YOU GO!!!!!! I looked through many tattoo shops from here all the way up to PA(it's my hometown and have gotten piercings and tattoos there before). I loved everyone's work from here. Didn't matter who did the job I loves them all. I was highly pleased with this shop. I called mid afternoon Friday, May 12th to see if I can discuss about getting a tattoo. They said sure come in so later that evening my boyfriend and I went in and showed them what I wanted. The man at the desk resized the art I wanted and we talked about pricing, color, placement and I scheduled an appointment for May 19th with, Hossein. There is a cash deposit. I didn't have cash so my boyfriend and i went to Wawa to pull out the 40$ deposit. We left and got about half way down the road and they called me to tell me that the 2:30, May 13th, appointment canceled and they would be able to do it then. So I took it with out even thinking about it. The next day.... They were pretty busy. Took about 5-8ish mins till someone came to the desk. The had a few clients in the wait room and in the other rooms as well. I signed my consent form and was told Hossein would be with me shortly and that he was just prepping. I went in at around 3pm. I wanted it on my upper thigh. He placed my tattoo perfectly. Waited a few moments so it could set and while we waited I used the restroom and when I came back I was giving a Tommy pickles stress ball, cuz I'm a little bitch and can't take the pain. It hurt the first 10min, I would say and after that it was just a bunch of annoying buzzing. It did tickle in some parts too. Before I knew it he was done. It only took an hour. A fucking hour. Holy shit, if my other tattoos we're that short In time i think I'd have more. We did chat a bit here and there with the artist but he's there to do a job and concentrate on making sure he doesn't fuck up your tattoo so don't be a whiny bitch if he doesn't talk to you... Unless you want fucked up lines or some shit. This place was awesome. Clean. Fresh. Good staff. Knows their stuff. And I'll defer be back. Thank you again so much for this tattoo Hossein. read more

Got 3 piecing here the day prior to Halloween, yes I know my review is late. I wanted to post because I could not be happier. No issues with infections. Healing was a breeze as I follow all the piercers instructions. I was required to wear a mask while in the shop which was to be expected. Awesome customer service from being greeted to the bed bedside manner while preforming the piercings. I felt safe and respected. I've been coming to Hybrid for a couple years. My first impression was how lovely everyone in the shop was. Very warm and friendly, unlike a lot of tattoo shops where you have to kinda put up the artists being a little jerkish. The shop itself is beautiful and clean with cool artwork on the walls. Now the tattooing itself has been A+! I had a full back piece done which was a part of a coverup, the results surpassed my expectations, Hossein the owner, worked with me to get something beautiful I'd be happy with. Since then I've started working on my leg and while you might have to wait to get an appointment it's well worth getting something you're going to be pleased with. Not to mention the lines and colors have been super professional, no blow outs nothing shaky and weird you just have to live with. I've had a few little ones done by Shammujah and she's a real sweetheart and I'm very happy with the tiny flash style tattoos I got from her. I had a 6 pm appointment today. Finished @7:45. I had emailed a detailed request for what I wanted (2 new tattoos and shading of an existing tattoo). When I got there they were still working on an outline I wanted. No big deal there. Then I asked if there would be time to finish all of what I wanted the receptionist says the artist was unaware of the other stuff. So I say I will forego the outline since they didn't seem to be able to get that together. I will go with the other tattoo and shading. Well the words that I asked for (Loving Me) turned out not to be in the font I sent and what we discussed so I say I will just go with the shading. Once we were done I was charged $140 for shading. NOT the tattoo and shading, literally the shading. Had we not wasted the 1st hour and I got everything I wanted, I had no issue with paying whatever. It's a bit of an integrity thing for me. Really disappointing and not to put the artist on blast (cause at some point she will be better) but lesson learned I will definitely stick with a seasoned artist from now on. I have three tattoos all done here by the same person but he has left. I won't return again. read more

I went to Hossein and he is AMAZING. He completely exceeded any expectations I had, with both his designing ability and his tattooing skills. I have a high pain tolerance anyway, but he made my ankle tattoo go by super quick with no real pain. So I wanted a tattoo for a few years now and I went to Hybrid Tattoo as a walk-in yesterday and they were able to take me. I went with my mom because I am still 17 and immediately we were greeted very kindly by the receptionist. We waited about 30-40 minutes before the guy actually started my tattoo. The wait was because he was with another client but we didn't mind waiting since we were walk-ins. I forgot to catch his name but he was very nice and accommodating. I got a simple triquetra on my wrist 1in x 1in. It's fairly small and used black ink. It cost $80 which is their starting rate. Bit pricy but the place looked very clean and welcoming so I didn't mind the price much. This place is so unprofessional...I went in to get a tattoo and I put a deposit down for an appointment a week later so here comes the day I'm supposed to get a tattoo I get no call at all or I don't get an update on my tattoo and when I was booking my appointment they didn't "have anything available" because he said the piece that I wanted would take a long time and when I saw the picture he drew up it was so simple and basic...... it was nothing like I asked and then I asked. can I get a refund because I never even received a call about missing my appointment or anything and do not go if you don't like lack there of communication or basic tattoos. read more

The last one I got was SPELLED WRONG and then the cover was still messed up then when I asked to have it fixed the right way the shop owner is trying to charge me. To be honest, I'm on the fence between a 2 and a 3, but considering I have something on my skin forever, I think it's fair to score on the harsher side. I read the reviews below and feel like everyone is giving kind of bits and pieces. I'll try to be a thorough as possible. I was looking at shops in VA (where I'm from) and Chicago (where I live now) and decided on Hybrid because I was into Hossein's work. I waited until I was back in Woodbridge to call and make an appointment. Although that seemed to go smoothly, there was some confusion about what I wanted when I arrived and I ended up not getting a tattoo that day and just treated it as a "consultation" which was fine and probably better in the long run. I left Hossein with a list of things and pictures specifying what I really wanted to be included and what I really didn't want. I specified down to the font. When I came back a few days later it looked great, but he had clearly not referenced my list because the Jerry's Girl I asked for had knives and such for "her" tattoos and I said I didn't want any weapons. After seeing it I decided that I liked the final result even with the weapons so I didn't have him change it. I had to sit for a bit and the rest of the staff around were really nice to me, but Hossein was super cold. I mean, maybe he's just not a naturally talkative guy, but it would have been nice to at least have him try? Good thing I brought my friend and good thing his apprentice was around or I'd have been bored out of my mind. It was seriously like night and day when it came to the friendliness of the other artists compared to him. I mean, you go with the artist whose work you appreciate, but you're still a customer paying a good amount of money. Moving on, after everything was done, I looked in the mirror and to my disappointment, he had changed the font I asked for in the text portion of the tattoo............. Honestly, the tattoo is pretty big and besides that everything was to my liking so I didn't make a fuss about it. It's not like he could have erased it and redone it right there. But, again, if it's going to be on my skin forever, I'd have liked it to be exactly what I said. OR, if he had some good reason for changing the font, he should have told me beforehand. It was correct when the stencil was on me, but the final, permanent product was different. What happened in between? When I was finished the rest of the staff had a look and said they were impressed that I sat through and got such a big tattoo my first time. But, my experience ended with Hossein getting annoyed at me for not being able to pose my body properly to take a photo of the tat and me paying and leaving. Again, good thing my friend was there or it all would have be so awkward. Actually, she ended up making an appointment to get work done by him too (which he oddly didn't seem happy about). Maybe he just didn't like us? But for +$300 and more business coming in, you should fake it. I want more work done, but I don't plan to go back there. Lesson learned. read more

Got my second tattoo inked on 27 Feb. It was based on an idea I had been thinking over for some time but Hossein artfully redesigned it to make it less 'dark' and applied with his skilled hands. The art took two hours and the price was very reasonable. Hossein was receptive to the colors I wanted and the theme I had in mind. The studio is clean with a friendly staff. I got my first tattoo here in May 2016. Patrick did an excellent job. I showed him photos of other tattoos that I liked then discussed what I wanted. After several days I had his first draft emailed to me. It was about 90% what I wanted, and I consider that excellent. I made some corrections and last-minute changes and we were set. We did it all in one session--about 3.5 hours for a full-color upper arm tattoo. Patrick was very professional and fun to talk to the whole time.
